Chapter 16: Storming the Warehouse
---
A Silent Arrival
Under the cover of night, a black SUV rolled to a stop near an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of the city. The area was eerily quiet, except for the occasional barking of stray dogs in the distance.
Ye Tian stepped out, his black suit blending into the darkness. Behind him, Chen Wei and five other men followed, each dressed in combat gear, their faces hardened with experience.
"Boss, there are at least a dozen guards inside," Chen Wei whispered, glancing at the dimly lit structure. "Armed. Most likely mercenaries hired by the Qin Family."
Ye Tian smirked. "Only a dozen? That's disappointing."
Bai Qingyue had provided detailed information on the warehouse's security. The Qin Family was being careful but not careful enough. They thought Ye Tian was just a rich young master with some backing.
They were about to learn the truth.
"No guns," Ye Tian ordered. "I'll handle this personally."
His men exchanged glances but nodded. They knew better than to question him.
Ye Tian took a step forward. In the blink of an eye, his aura shifted.
A wave of killing intent spread through the air.
Even Chen Wei, who had followed Ye Tian for months, shuddered.
This wasn't the aura of a businessman. This was the aura of a god of war.

Breaking In
Inside the warehouse, a group of men sat around a table, playing cards. A single dim bulb hung overhead, flickering slightly.
Near the back of the warehouse, Lin Xue sat tied to a chair, her mouth gagged. Her once-beautiful face was marred by a small cut on her cheek.
A large man, presumably the leader, glanced at her and smirked. "Ye Tian's going to come running, thinking he can save you. But he won't be leaving alive."
Another man laughed. "Boss Qin said to make an example of him. We should break this woman in before he arrives."
Lin Xue's eyes widened in fear.
Before the man could take another step—
BOOM!
The warehouse door exploded off its hinges.
The force sent two guards flying, their bodies crashing against the wall with sickening thuds.
The remaining men jumped to their feet, scrambling for their weapons.
But before they could react—
Ye Tian was already inside.
---
The Demon in the Dark
One of the guards raised his pistol.
"SHIT—!"
Ye Tian moved like a ghost. His figure blurred, and the next moment—
CRACK!
The man's wrist twisted in an unnatural angle. His scream barely left his mouth before Ye Tian elbowed him in the throat. The sound of bones shattering echoed through the warehouse.
The second guard charged at him with a knife.
Ye Tian didn't dodge.
Instead, he caught the knife mid-swing.
The man's eyes widened in horror as Ye Tian bent the blade with his bare hands.
"Wha—?"
THUD!
A brutal kick sent the man flying into the crates, breaking several ribs.
The remaining men hesitated, their hands shaking. This wasn't a fight. This was a massacre.
Ye Tian's cold eyes swept over them. "Too slow."
In an instant, he vanished again.
What followed was a slaughter.
Fists. Elbows. Knees. Bone-shattering strikes.
Each attack was precise, meant to disable or kill.
In less than thirty seconds, ten men lay groaning or unconscious on the ground.
Ye Tian adjusted his cuffs, barely winded.
"Pathetic."

A Message to the Qin Family
The leader of the mercenaries was the last man standing. He trembled, realizing just how badly they had underestimated Ye Tian.
"W-Wait! I was just following orders! The Qin Family—"
Ye Tian's hand shot out, grabbing him by the throat.
"The Qin Family?" His voice was calm, but his grip was crushing. "Tell them they've made a grave mistake."
With one swift motion, Ye Tian snapped the man's shoulder, making him scream.
Then he dropped him onto the pile of his defeated comrades.
He turned to Lin Xue, who was still tied to the chair.
She stared at him with wide eyes, filled with relief… and something else.
Admiration.
Ye Tian smirked, stepping closer. With a flick of his wrist, he tore the ropes binding her.
Lin Xue immediately threw herself into his arms, her body trembling. "I knew you would come."
Ye Tian chuckled. "Of course."
Then, his gaze darkened.
The Qin Family had dared to touch what belonged to him.
This was just the beginning.
