chapter 64: the path never walked before

The Unwritten Realm had changed. No longer a stagnant void, it now pulsed with endless possibilities, a world waiting to be shaped.

Shen Tian stood amidst it all, his presence the catalyst for transformation. The Forgotten, once mere remnants of abandoned fates, had become real. And Archivus, the enigmatic Keeper of the Unwritten, now observed him with a strange curiosity.

"Your existence rewrites the natural order," Archivus intoned. "Even the Cosmic Manuscript has no record of you. A being beyond fate, beyond limitation… I wonder, will you create, or will you destroy?"

Shen Tian smirked. "Maybe both. Maybe neither. Does it matter?"

Archivus hummed, its form shifting through countless forgotten words. "It matters more than you know."

A Choice Beyond Fate

Before Shen Tian, two paths materialized. They were not roads of stone or trails of dust but conceptual choices, forces that could shape the fabric of reality itself.

One path led deeper into the Unwritten Realm, where the echoes of lost timelines and forsaken possibilities roamed.

The other led beyond, past the veil of existence, into a place no entity—god or mortal—had ever set foot.

Archivus spoke once more.

"The first path will grant you the knowledge of all stories that never came to be. The wisdom of forgotten gods, the strength of lost civilizations, the mysteries of abandoned fates."

"The second path… leads to something beyond all understanding. Not even I know what lies there."

A lesser being might have hesitated. Might have weighed the risks. But Shen Tian?

He laughed.

"If even you, the Keeper of the Unwritten, don't know what's ahead, then there's only one choice, isn't there?"

Archivus did not argue. Instead, its vast form flickered, the countless texts that made up its body trembling in anticipation.

"Very well," it murmured. "Then step forward, O Wanderer of the Unknown."

And so, Shen Tian took his step onto the path never walked before.

The Unknown Horizon

As soon as his foot touched the path, reality twisted.

Colors that had never existed flashed before his eyes. Concepts without names swirled around him. Time and space collapsed, then reformed in a way that made no sense.

He was no longer within the Unwritten Realm.

No.

This place was beyond existence itself.

Shen Tian found himself standing atop a vast sea of shattered possibilities, the broken fragments of realities that had never been. Above him, a sky filled with questions that had never been asked stretched infinitely.

In the far distance, something moved.

It was vast. Infinite. Nameless.

And for the first time in his journey, Shen Tian felt something he hadn't in a long time.

A thrill.

A sense of true, boundless discovery.

A grin split his face. "Now this… this is interesting."

With that, he strode forward.

Into the absolute unknown.
