The Decoration War Between Rainforest and Desert

The morning mist over Port Ormos had yet to dissipate as Ling Feng crouched on the roof of a dockside warehouse, staring at the three-story dilapidated shop in front of him. Vines crawled up the peeling columns, and a half-buried desert-style relief doorframe was wedged into the rainforest's unique mushroom wood structure, looking like a giant mushroom sprouting from the Mausoleum of King Deshret.

"Is this what you call a 'prime location'?" Lumine's voice came from behind, holding a takeout box of shrimp dumplings from Wanmin Restaurant. "The second floor leaks, the basement has Fungi nests, and next door is a smuggling warehouse run by the Eremites—are you sure you want to open a branch here?"

Ling Feng took the food box and mysteriously pulled out a golden-glowing book. "With this, *Animal Crossing*'s island design manual! Even if it's at the bottom of The Chasm, I can build you a five-star island resort."

The rainforest faction's representative, Wazir, was a young scholar with a monocle. As he directed workers to plaster moss on the walls, he looked like he was cultivating lab specimens. "The symbiotic system of ferns and fungal mycelium from Vanarana—this is what ecological aesthetics should be..."

"Hold it right there!" Desert craftsman Uncle Hassan slammed his hammer onto bricks identical to those from the Mausoleum of King Deshret, rattling Wazir's test tube rack. "When King Deshret used these bricks to build pyramids, you rainforest folks were still picking Zaytun Peaches from trees!"

As the two factions squared off, Lumine quietly flipped through the design manual. Starlight-like particles spilled from the pages, weaving into a 3D hologram in the air—a treehouse entwined with golden reliefs, fluorescent mushrooms growing from Deshret patterns, and rain curtains flowing through brick crevices into fountains.

"By the gods! This is King Deshret's miracle!" Hassan fell to his knees, while Eremite mercenaries drew holy symbols in the air. Wazir's monocle gleamed strangely. "This symbiotic relationship between mycelium and minerals... I must write a thesis for the Akademiya!"

When Cyno burst in with the Matra, Ling Feng was on the scaffolding adjusting the projection angle. The red-eyed scholar's jackal ears twitched as he surveyed the surreal scene. "We received reports of illegal research into forbidden knowledge here."

"Misunderstanding! This is just legitimate renovation—" Before Ling Feng could finish, the bricks Hassan was carrying turned into *Minecraft* blocks. The wall collapsed, revealing Eremite mercenaries digging into load-bearing pillars with diamond pickaxes.

"Article 57: Unauthorized structural modification." Cyno's Staff of the Scarlet Sands crackled with Electro energy. "Article 209: Illegal use of Khaenri'ah technology." The spear tip pointed at the rolling TNT blocks on the floor.

Lumine suddenly slammed the design manual onto an Electro monument. The hologram materialized instantly—a Deshret-style treehouse rose from the ground, vines automatically binding the collapsed bricks. Cyno's spear stopped inches from Ling Feng's nose, a bead of sweat rolling down his frozen smile. "If I say this is performance art..."

"Art is art." Cyno sheathed his spear. "But the Akademiya received 37 complaints that your redstone lamps blinded half the port last night."

Late at night, Ling Feng crouched on the leaky rooftop fixing circuit boards. A scream came from the basement—five glowing Fungi were feasting on *Minecraft* grass blocks, and with every bite, the walls pixelated into mosaics.

"Turn off the manual's projection!" Lumine threw a Starfell Sword to block the doorway as mycelium visibly consumed reality. Ling Feng frantically flipped through the book, only to see Hassan charging in with King Deshret's holy text. "Do not defile this miracle!"

Amid the chaos, Cyno's lightning spear split the mycelium network. Pixel blocks rained down, revealing the original mottled brick walls. Wazir suddenly raised a test tube. "I understand! This is an undocumented species mimicry phenomenon!"

"Mimicry my foot!" Ling Feng grabbed the fleeing Eremite foreman. "What did you mix into the concrete?"

"Just... some glowing powder we found in the desert ruins..."

Seven days later, the renovated shop stood proudly in the port. The left rainforest area hung with glowing Aranara lanterns, the right desert area featured Deshret-style obelisks, and the center transitioned with Lumine's starlight fountain—though Hassan insisted the fountain's design blasphemed King Deshret's sacred scarab.

"These are the 'Academic Lucky Bags' for pre-orders." Lumine stacked blind boxes on the shelves, only to find the labels chewed into jagged shapes by Fungi. Ling Feng, fixing the pixelated circuits that kept shorting, shouted without looking up, "Use the Liyue seals Keqing sent to re-stamp them!"

Cyno leaned against the doorway, watching Eremites devoutly bowing to the Deshret obelisk while rainforest scholars sketched the Aranara lanterns. The sea breeze carried the mingled scents of salt and Padisarah flowers.

"You'd better pray..." Cyno's cape fluttered in the twilight. "...the Akademiya doesn't get more than fifty complaint letters next time."

Lumine gazed at the starlight rising over the horizon and gently placed the design manual back on the counter. A line of text quietly appeared on the title page: **"Congratulations! 'Cultural Fusion' achievement unlocked!"**
