The Spina di Rosula's Special Order

When Navia stepped into the shop, the mechanical otters were using their tail brushes to draw ripples of the Dewlight Spring on the oak floor. Her high heels tapped the center of the last ripple, the pearl embroidery on her gown making Lumine squint. "How much deposit is required for custom services?"

"It depends on the requirements." Kazuha unfolded the Spina di Rosula's order document, the gilded words "Safety Protection" glowing on the parchment. "Can you describe the usage scenario?"

"Next week's jewelry charity gala." Navia's lace gloves brushed the display case, leaving a faint lavender scent. "We need devices that can handle thieves, drunks, and reporters' cameras—preferably not as crude as Meropide's shackles."

As Lumine assembled the prototype in the warehouse, she heard the delicate clink of crystal glasses upstairs. Navia was inspecting the last batch of goods—the gradient petals from the "Spina Seed Blind Box" floated in a bulletproof case, chased by a mechanical sphere spraying moisturizing mist.

"How about directional sonic dispersers?" Kazuha unfolded the blueprint. "Using Fontaine Academy's latest Arkhe resonance technology…"

"I want something more elegant." Navia's feathered fan tapped the edge of the blueprint. "Like making intruders tidy themselves up or temporarily blind but able to see rose illusions."

The experimental box Lumine held suddenly vibrated, an误装 (misplaced) "Festival Smoke Core" overloading. She lunged for the balcony as an explosion startled a flock of mechanical pigeons—colored frosting burst like a nebula, perfectly coating Navia's gown.

Silence lasted three seconds.

When Lumine emerged from the frosting pile, she saw Navia's blue-purple gown crystallizing. The sugar and silk reacted strangely, solidifying into glass-like armor. The young lady lifted her skirt, shedding stardust-like fragments. "This is 'safety protection'?"

"An accidental product!" Kazuha grabbed the analyzer. "The frosting mixed with Dewlight Spring minerals…"

Before he finished, joyful Blubberbeast calls came through the window. Attracted by the sweetness, the round creatures crashed through the stained glass, scooping up frosting to build nests. Navia's bodyguards rushed in to find her directing the otters with her fan: "Cover the left gap! Use the dust net!"

Lumine threw up a Geo construct to seal the broken window, only to notice Navia had draped gradient petals over her sugar armor. The Blubberbeasts, enchanted by this mobile dessert station, chased her skirt in a waltz rhythm.

Clorinde arrived amidst the chaos. Her sword sheath tapped the ground, frost sweeping through and freezing the sugar nests. Navia seized the moment to flick her fan, hidden Spina rose darts shattering the icy structures.

"Fontaine's most dangerous item is your product." The swordswoman kicked aside the still-smoking blind box debris.

Kazuha handed over the data pad: "Tests show the frosting's hardening effect can withstand dagger strikes…"

"But not dessert fanatics." Navia lifted her skirt, revealing three napping Blubberbeasts. She suddenly chuckled. "Not a total loss—tonight's emergency plan was ten times more exciting than last year's jewelry exhibit."

Charlotte raised her camera from the wreckage. "Spina di Rosula's young lady becomes the Dessert Warrior! This special issue will be called *Frosting Armor and the Blubberbeast Waltz*!"

As dusk soaked the shop, Navia used the sugar glass armor as a canvas. Lumine watched her sketch gala designs with an otter's tail brush, gradient sugar grains blending into a starry sky under twilight.

"Add two hundred sets to the official order." The young lady's feathered pen tapped the modification plan. "Must switch defense modes—rainbow frosting for the ball, pepper spray for security."

Kazuha aimed the analyzer at the sugar sample: "Need to solve the Blubberbeast attraction effect…"

"Keep it." Navia flicked sugar crystals from her sleeve. "Those little ones are better at causing chaos than guards."

They didn't notice the figure on the opposite balcony. Furina peered through a telescope, her notebook filled with "Frosting Armor" notes, the last line reading: *Pair with sea salt cream hair accessories.*

The next day's repairs lasted until late night. As Lumine adjusted the new humidity-proof display case, a muffled thud came from the basement. Navia's leftover sugar sample was growing in a petri dish, crystalline veins forming the Spina di Rosula emblem. Kazuha raised the alarm, then lowered it. "Seems Dewlight Spring microbes and desserts create奇妙反应 (wonderful reactions)."

The otters suddenly lined up in alert—Clorinde was testing the wall's sugar coating. As her sword slashed, rainbow light refracted into twelve rose illusions, the blade stopping half an inch from the glass armor.

"Preorder twenty sets." The swordswoman sheathed her weapon. "Useful for chasing the House of the Hearth's puppeteer."

Moonlight flowed over the sugar ruins, the Palais Mermonia's projection across the street switching to a new legal promo. In one fleeting shot, Neuvillette's scepter seemed to have specks of sugar.
