Damon's smile faltered for a moment, but then he regained his composure. "I have no idea what you're talking about," he said, his voice smooth.

But Caroline wasn't buying it. She knew Damon was hiding something, and she was determined to expose him.

CONTINUATION

Caroline turned on her heel and walked away from Damon's dorm room, her mind racing with thoughts of how to protect her friend Tiffany.

She quickly made her way to Tiffany's dorm room, her heart pounding with urgency. She knocked on the door, and when Tiffany answered, Caroline pulled her inside.

"Tiffany, I need to tell you something," Caroline said, her voice low and serious.

Tiffany's eyes narrowed. "What is it?" she asked.

Caroline took a deep breath. "It's about Damon," she said. "I think he's using you."

Tiffany's expression changed from curious to defensive. "What are you talking about?" she asked.

Caroline hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But she knew she had to warn Tiffany.

"I confronted Damon, and he denied it, but I know he's hiding something," Caroline said. "I think he's manipulating you to get to Alex."

Tiffany's eyes widened, and for a moment, Caroline thought she saw a glimmer of realization. But then, Tiffany's expression hardened.

"You're just trying to protect Alex," Tiffany said, her voice cold. "You don't know what you're talking about."

Caroline felt a pang of disappointment. She had hoped Tiffany would listen to her, would see the truth.

"Tiffany, please," Caroline said, her voice pleading. "Just be careful around Damon. I don't want to see you get hurt."

Tiffany's expression softened slightly, but Caroline could tell she was still skeptical.

"I'll be fine," Tiffany said. "Thanks for worrying about me, Caroline."

Caroline nodded, feeling a sense of unease. She knew she had to keep an eye on Tiffany, to make sure Damon didn't hurt her.

As she left Tiffany's dorm room, Caroline couldn't shake off the feeling that she had just made things worse.

Caroline decided to do some digging to gather more evidence about Damon's true intentions. She started by asking around, trying to see if anyone else had noticed anything suspicious about Damon's behavior.

As she talked to more and more people, Caroline began to piece together a disturbing picture. Several people mentioned that Damon had been asking questions about Alex's business dealings, and one person even reported seeing Damon snooping around Alex's office.

Caroline's instincts told her that Damon was up to no good. She decided to take her findings to Alex, hoping that he could help her figure out what to do next.

As she arrived at Alex's office, Caroline could see that he was busy on a phone call. She decided to wait, taking a seat in the chair outside his office.

Just as she was starting to get impatient, Alex emerged from his office, a look of concern etched on his face.

"Hey, Caroline," he said. "What's going on?"

Caroline filled Alex in on what she had learned, showing him the notes she had taken. Alex's expression grew more and more serious as he listened.

When Caroline finished, Alex leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers together.

"This is not good," he said. "Damon is definitely up to something. I'm going to do some digging of my own, see if I can uncover more about what he's planning."

Caroline nodded, feeling a sense of relief that Alex was taking her concerns seriously.

As they talked, Jason walked into the office, a curious expression on his face.

"What's going on?" he asked, looking from Caroline to Alex.

Alex filled Jason in on the situation, and Jason's expression grew more and more serious.

"I had a feeling something was off about Damon," Jason said. "I'm glad we're looking into this."

As they continued to discuss the situation, Caroline couldn't help but feel grateful for her friends. Together, they would get to the bottom of Damon's plans and make sure that Tiffany was safe.
