Into the Unknown

Leah's fingers hovered over the keyboard for a moment before she copied the entire forum post into a document.

Just in case.

She leaned back, rubbing her eyes. The glow of the screen made them ache, but she couldn't look away. The words "don't go in" stuck in her head like a warning she wasn't sure she wanted to listen to.

Was this real? Was she really considering chasing a ghost story?

Her body was screaming for sleep, but her mind wouldn't shut off.

She closed her laptop, stood up, and stretched, her muscles stiff from sitting too long. With a sigh, she grabbed a notebook from her desk and jotted down quick notes keywords, the coordinates mentioned in the forum, a rough plan.

If she was doing this, she had to be prepared.Leah grabbed a duffel bag and started packing.

Notebook & Pens – to document.

everythingCamera – for proofPortable.

Charger – no power, no research.

Flashlight – always useful.

Basic Clothes – just a few changes, she wasn't planning to be gone long.

Pocket Knife – for… safety? Yeah, let's call it that

Water & Snacks – because gas station food wasn't always an option.

It felt ridiculous. Packing like she was going on some grand adventure when, in reality, she could be driving into nothing.

She zipped up the bag and tossed it by the door.

A yawn finally caught up with her, the exhaustion of the day pressing down on her shoulders. She pulled off her hoodie and crawled into bed, staring at the ceiling as her thoughts kept running.

Was she making a mistake?

Maybe.

But there was only one way to find out.

Tomorrow, she'd hit the road.
