Leah tore her gaze away, heat creeping up her neck. What the hell was she doing? She wasn't here to admire dangerously attractive men especially ones who stared at her like she was prey.
She took a sip of water, focusing on the coolness against her lips. Ignore him.
But then a firm arm wrapped around her waist.
Her entire body stiffened. The touch was casual, almost lazy, but possessive. Like she belonged to someone.
"What do we have here?" A low, unfamiliar voice murmured close to her ear, his breath warm against her skin. Leah turned sharply, coming face to face with another man tall, lean, and equally as beautiful as the one in the shadows. His golden eyes gleamed with amusement as he tightened his grip.
Her pulse spiked. Who the hell did he think he was?
Leah shoved his arm off her. "Don't touch me."
A slow smirk spread across his lips. "Feisty."
She could feel the weight of the entire room watching, but one stare in particular burned hotter than the rest. The man in the shadows.
And he did not look amused.
