Uninvited Guest

Leah slid into the driver's seat, slamming the door shut. Her fingers trembled slightly as she jammed the key into the ignition. Just drive. Get the hell out of here.

The engine roared to life, and she exhaled, gripping the wheel. Finally.

But then movement.

A dark figure loomed just outside her window.

Leah turned her head and nearly jumped out of her skin.

"FUCK!"

She scrambled back against the seat, heart slamming into her ribs. The man from the bar the one from the shadows stood right outside her car, watching her through the glass.

She hadn't even seen him move.

His smirk was slow, lazy, like he was enjoying her reaction. "Leaving so soon?"

Leah's pulse pounded. How the hell did he get there so fast?
