Leah's fingers tightened on the steering wheel, her pulse hammering in her ears. Did he just say?

Her eyes narrowed. "Me?!"

The man chuckled, low and smooth, like he found her reaction entertaining. He leaned in slightly, resting a hand on the edge of her window. Too close.

"Is that so hard to believe?" His voice was rich, teasing, but there was something unsettling beneath it something that made her stomach twist.

Leah scoffed, masking the unease crawling up her spine. "Yeah, actually. I don't even know you."

His smirk didn't fade. "You will."
