Chapter 10: The Unfinished Task and the Worried Young Dragon

After hearing Gavial's words, Aak was quite surprised.

"So, you mean she wasn't actually full just now? She only stopped eating because everyone else had finished?"

Gavial nodded. "Exactly. To have such strong self-control at that age… Kal'tsit, Outcast might have brought an incredible talent to the island."

Kal'tsit didn't say much in response. She simply turned and walked toward the medical department.

"Whether she can become strong or not is something for the future. We have six surgeries scheduled for tomorrow. Gavial, have you arranged everything?"

"Orthopedic surgery? Easy! By the way, I heard that Blaze returned this afternoon. How about having her assist me tomorrow? She's even faster than I am with the chainsaw."

Gavial followed Kal'tsit casually, already discussing the details of tomorrow's surgeries.

Aak, walking behind them, let out a sigh of relief. He thought to himself, Good thing Dr. Gavial is on duty tonight. If it were Mr. Warfarin, seeing Kanna's strange behavior would have caused another chaotic scene.

While most of Rhodes Island's authority rested with Kal'tsit, the nominal leader was Amiya, whom she had yet to meet. Perhaps she needed to see Amiya to fulfill the mission's requirements.

But it was already late, and even if she wanted to meet Amiya, it would have to wait until tomorrow. After pondering for a while, Kanna realized that all her worrying was pointless. No matter what the conditions were, since she was already at Rhodes Island, she would complete the mission sooner or later.

Feeling reassured, Kanna turned over, closed her eyes, and quickly drifted off to sleep, starting a new game in her dreams.

The next morning, Outcast woke Kanna up. According to the message from Kal'tsit, the plan was to first take Kanna to the cafeteria to meet Amiya, then proceed to the medical department for a physical examination. Finally, she would be sent to Perfumer Lena's rehabilitation center, which also served as Rhodes Island's children's center. After that, Kanna would be arranged to stay there.
