When Food Disappears, How Can You Blame a Passing Dragon Cub?

Faced with Blue Poison's offering of food, Kanna happily opened her mouth.

Even though eating one piece at a time was very satisfying, this method of nibbling turned out to be a rare delight—especially when being fed by such a lovely girl.

After finishing, the two left the cake room hand in hand.

…During tea time, a few operators entered the pastry room. Seeing the display counter completely empty, they scratched their heads—had the pastry chefs all taken the day off?

Soon, word spread throughout Rhodes Island about the mysterious disappearance of all the cakes from the cake room. By the time the news reached Amiya's ears, nearly a week had passed.

Curious, she reviewed the surveillance footage from that time and discovered the culprit behind the vanishing cakes: none other than Kanna Kamuy, who had been using her charming looks to trick operators into handing over snacks. In fact, she'd earned the notorious title "The Extremely Hungry" among them.

However, since Blue Poison was unaware at the time of the young dragon's dangerous potential, she did not reprimand Blue Poison for making such an ill-advised decision. Instead, she simply announced a new Rhodes Island rule: "Young ones and dragons must be accompanied by another person to enter the cafeteria," which was posted at every cafeteria entrance.

Although this notice did spark an attempt by one particular dragon to incite a rebellion among the island's children, she overestimated her own abilities. The children she'd tricked with food were quickly spotted by a little donkey via the island's surveillance cameras, who then notified their parents or teachers to intercept them halfway. By the time the commotion reached the command room, she found herself completely alone.

Facing the outcast's feigned sorrow and the sweet treats in Blue Poison's hands, she swiftly announced her surrender. This incident marked the first "rebellion" on Rhodes Island, easily quelled by the "Demon King"—later known in history as the Sweet Treat Uprising.

Later, after leaving the cafeteria, Kanna wanted to visit the bridge. Blue Poison, after a moment's thought, agreed and took her on an elevator ride to the bridge.

"Ah~ Although this hot wind is a bit uncomfortable, standing on the bridge with such a magnificent view really clears the mind. What do you think, Kanna… Kanna?… Kanna!"

Taking a deep breath, Blue Poison stretched and gazed out over the endless wilderness, letting out a sigh of contentment.

But when she finished her reverie, she realized the child was missing. "Where's Kanna? That big Kanna was just here!" Her face turned to panic as she scanned the surroundings.

"Blue~ Poison~" At that moment, Kanna's voice reached her ears—but not from around her, rather from above her head.

Following the sound, Blue Poison looked up and was nearly frightened out of her wits.

On the observation deck at the very top of the bridge, several dozen meters above, Kanna was standing at the edge, waving at her.

"When did you get up there…? Come down quickly!"

Having never encountered such a situation before, Blue Poison was nearly brought to tears.

Then, with a whoosh, a purple cursor shot from Kanna's hand and landed beside her, emitting faint electric currents. In an instant, Kanna abruptly appeared right at the cursor's location.

Seeing Blue Poison on the verge of tears, Kanna hurried over.

"Don't cry, Big Sister Blue Poison. It's Kanna's fault—I promise I won't be naughty again."

Earlier, being in such a high place had excited Kanna. Seizing the moment, she had used the effect of "Stardust Repositioning" to toss a Thunder Wedge to the top, quickly reposition herself, and then cancel the previous Thunder Wedge.

Blue Poison, who hadn't seen Kanna's earlier test, turned around only to find that Kanna was not by her side but dangerously perched at the edge of the observation deck.

Seeing Blue Poison's anxious expression, Kanna realized that Blue Poison did not yet understand her abilities. If she were in her shoes, seeing a child standing at such a dangerous height would be equally alarming—especially if it were someone she cared about. So she immediately used "Stardust Repositioning" once more to "fly" down from above.
