The day of the elemental awakening test had finally arrived. At the age of 11 Raze and Keal stood among dozens of other children in the village square, their eyes filled with both excitement and apprehension. The test would determine their future. For Keal, it was a confirmation of the talent he had already displayed. For Raze, it was a moment of reckoning.
both were nervous especially Raze his mother's warning was the only thing that to be played in a loop
'you may not get an element at all'
NYX,keal, and Raze all started the journey to the town that day for the test it was just a 2-hour journey from their village.
when they reached the town, Both Keal and Raze were stupified with the development unlike the village there were house nice houses and villas and they could see a huge castle which was very far away towards the city capital still they could see it as it was really huge
well the infrastructure is the same compared to my world
they walked ate some food and reached a tower like castle so hude in diameter and high they asked the guards about the starting time of the test
its just about to start plz get inside
they entered the castle and there they saw so many children the castle looks even bigger from inside at the center there was an elder, a thin, frail man with a long gray beard, stood before them. Behind him, a tall crystal monument pulsed with faint energy. It was called the Elemental ball, a relic capable of revealing one's strongest elemental affinity.
"Each of you will step forward, place your hand on the crystal, and let your magic flow," the elder explained. "The prism will respond to your soul's affinity and reveal your destined element."
Keal was practically vibrating with anticipation. "I can't wait for my turn! Raze, what do you think you'll get?"
Raze forced a chuckle. "I… I don't know."
In truth, he was terrified. What if Nyx was right? What if he had no magic at all?
then the elder explained how will the ball work
The elder held up a smooth, crystal-like orb, its surface shimmering faintly.
'This ball will reveal your element,' he explained. 'When you place your hands on it, it will react to the mana within you and change color accordingly. Each element has its own unique glow—'
He paused before listing them out:
Fire glows red
Water turns blue
Air shines white
Earth becomes brown
Lightning crackles with blue sparks
Ice glows light blue
Lava burns orange
Mercury takes on a silver sheen
Light radiates brilliant gold
Darkness manifests as pure black
Gravity shifts in a dark, swirling aura
'For those with dual elements, the colors will mix or appear in patterns. Now, step forward one by one.'"
One by one, the children stepped forward. The first boy placed his hand on the crystal. A moment later, a faint blue shimmer appeared—Water. The next child's result was Fire. Another got Air. Cheers erupted for a girl who received a rare Ice affinity.
Then came Keal's turn.
He stepped forward confidently, placing his palm against the cool surface of the prism. Almost immediately, a golden glow burst forth, illuminating the square. Gasps filled the crowd.
"Light!" someone whispered. "He has the Light affinity!"
But before the amazement could settle, another color flickered into existence. Streaks of violent blue energy crackled alongside the golden glow.
"Lightning?!"
The crowd exploded into cheers. A dual-element wielder was extremely rare. Keal had not only inherited Light, the element of purity and speed, but also Lightning, the element of destruction and unmatched agility. It was a combination fit for legends.
Keal grinned, basking in the admiration of the onlookers. He turned to Raze, eyes shining. "Did you see that? I'm gonna be unstoppable!"
Raze smiled weakly, trying to ignore the tightening in his chest. "Yeah… that was amazing."
The elder stepped forward, his eyes gleaming. "Keal Tenebris, you have been blessed with greatness. Train hard, and you may become a mage of legend."
Keal puffed up with pride, stepping aside as the elder called the next name.
"Raze Tenebris."
Silence fell over the crowd. Raze swallowed hard and stepped forward. His palms were sweaty as he reached for the crystal. He closed his eyes and prayed. 'Please… just give me something.'
Anything plzzzzzzzz.
