Chapter 86 :

Karan leaned forward, smirking. "Alright, since we're on the topic of iconic moments, let's talk about something that recently came to my attention. The fastest hundred in IPL history."

Advay tilted his head, smirking. "Oh? You mean my actual job?"

Karan grinned mischievously. "Oh no, darling. I mean the reason behind it."

Ananya froze for a second. "Oh god."

The screen behind them suddenly lit up with a highlight reel of Advay's insane 29-ball hundred, the fastest in IPL history.

Advay walking in to bat, eyes locked in.Smashing the bowlers all over the park—fours, sixes, pure destruction. The final six to bring up his hundred in record time. The commentators going wild.

The clip ended, and Karan turned to Advay, raising an eyebrow. "Tell me, Advay… were you playing for RCB that day, or were you playing for love?"

The audience burst into laughter, and Ananya immediately covered her face.

"I knew you were going to bring this up," she muttered.

Karan pointed at her. "Of course I was! Because let's be honest—this isn't just any century. This is a romantic century."

Advay chuckled, shaking his head. "I wouldn't call it that."

Karan gasped dramatically. "Oh really? So you're saying the bet didn't happen?"

Ananya, still hiding her face, groaned. "Karan, please."

Karan ignored her and turned to Advay. "Come on, tell the world—what was the bet?"

Advay smirked, glancing at Ananya before looking back at Karan. "Alright, fine. The second time we met, I asked for her number."

Karan leaned in. "And?"

Advay chuckled. "And she said I'd have to earn it."

The audience erupted in cheers.

Karan clapped excitedly. "OH MY GOD. I love this woman!"

Ananya rolled her eyes. "Yeah, yeah."

Karan turned back to Advay. "So what did she make you do?"

Advay grinned. "She said that if I scored a hundred in my next match, she'd give me her number."

The crowd reacted with gasps and laughter.

Karan gasped dramatically. "A HUNDRED?! Not even like… a fifty?! This is what we call elite standards, ladies and gentlemen!"

Ananya laughed, shaking her head. "Listen, I wasn't expecting him to actually do it!"

Karan grinned. "Oh, but he did. And then, if I'm not wrong, Advay, you added another clause, didn't you?"

Advay leaned back, smirking. "I did. I told her that if I scored the fastest hundred in IPL history, she had to go on a dinner date with me."

Karan placed a hand on his heart. "This is cinema. This is romance. This is why I love cricket."

The chat went wild as the screen replayed Advay's 29-ball hundred.

Karan looked at Ananya, shaking his head. "So tell me, when you saw him smashing bowlers like they were kids, did you realize… 'oh crap, I might actually have to go on this date'?"

Ananya laughed. "Yeah, when he hit like 70 in 20 balls, I was like—oh no, he's serious."

Advay grinned. "I told you I don't lose bets."

Karan sighed dramatically. "Ladies, this is what you call dedication. If a man isn't scoring record-breaking hundreds for you, is he even worth it?"

The audience burst out laughing as Advay smirked, while Ananya just shook her head, knowing this story would live on forever.

Karan leaned forward, his eyes twinkling with excitement. "Okay, now that we know Advay is willing to shatter records for love, let's go back to the beginning—your first meeting."

Ananya smiled, glancing at Advay. "The first time we met was actually at a restaurant when he was still playing for Karnataka. We just talked briefly and left."

Karan raised an eyebrow. "So, no sparks? No love at first sight?"

Ananya shrugged playfully. "Nope. Just two strangers crossing paths."

Advay, leaning back, smirking, finally spoke up. "She forgot to mention that she was the one staring first."

Ananya snapped her head toward him. "Excuse me?"

The audience burst into laughter.

Karan clapped his hands together. "Oh, this just got interesting!"

Ananya rolled her eyes. "He's making things up."

Advay grinned. "Am I?"

Karan pointed at Ananya. "Darling, were you staring?"

Ananya huffed. "Okay, maybe for like a second! But only because I was trying to figure out if it was really him."

Karan gasped dramatically. "OH. MY. GOD. You were starstruck!"

Ananya covered her face. "I was not!"

Advay grinned. "She totally was."

The chat went crazy.

Karan laughed, shaking his head. "Okay, okay, so the first meeting was nothing major. What about the second time?"

Ananya sighed. "The second time we met was actually during the MRF shoot. That's when we properly talked for the first time."

Karan leaned in. "And? What was your first impression, Ananya?"

Ananya smirked. "Honestly? I thought he'd be intimidating because of the way he plays on the field. But he was actually really chill."

Advay grinned. "Surprised?"

Ananya nodded. "Very."

Karan turned to Advay. "And you? First impression of her?"

Advay smirked. "I thought she talked way too much."

The entire audience erupted in laughter.

Ananya gasps, smacking his arm. "Excuse me?!"

Karan was in tears laughing. "OH MY GOD. THE SHADE."

Advay, laughing, held up his hands in defense. "In a good way!"

Ananya crossed her arms. "How is 'talking too much' a good thing?"

Advay grinned. "It meant there was never an awkward silence."

The crowd awwed, and Ananya softened slightly. "That was smooth. I'll allow it."

Karan shook his head, still laughing. "You two are hilarious. And the best part is, you didn't even realize back then where this was headed."

Ananya smiled. "Not at all."

Advay smirked. "But I had a feeling."

The audience cheered as Karan dramatically placed a hand over his heart. "Ugh, I love this."

Karan rubbed his hands together excitedly. "Alright, it's time for one of my favorite segments—'How Well Do You Know Each Other?'"

The audience cheered as an assistant walked in, placing buzzers in front of both Advay and Ananya.

Karan smirked. "Here's how it works—I'll ask a question about one of you, and whoever buzzes first gets to answer. If they're right, they get a point. If they're wrong, the other person can steal."

Ananya grinned, cracking her knuckles. "I'm so ready for this."

Advay smirked. "Let's see how well you actually know me."

Karan picked up his cue cards. "Alright, first question—what is Advay's biggest superstition before a match?"

BEEP!

Ananya slammed the buzzer instantly. "Easy. He always puts on his left pad first before walking out to bat."

Karan raised an eyebrow as he looked at Advay. "Is she right?"

Advay sighed, smirking. "Yeah."

The audience cheered as Ananya fist-pumped. "One point for me!"

Karan grinned. "Alright, next question—what's Ananya's comfort food?"

BEEP!

Advay hit the buzzer first. "Mac and cheese. Specifically, the truffle mac and cheese from that restaurant in Bandra."

Ananya stared at him, genuinely impressed. "Okay, I didn't think you'd get that specific."

Karan laughed. "Oh, so we do pay attention, huh?"

Advay smirked. "I always pay attention."

The audience awwed as Karan fanned himself dramatically. "Ugh, stop, this is too adorable."

He flipped to the next card. "Okay, what's Advay's biggest pet peeve?"

Ananya quickly hit the buzzer. "Oh, this one's easy. He hates when people are late."

Karan looked at Advay. "True?"

Advay nodded immediately. "Oh, 100% true."

Ananya grinned smugly. "That's why I'm always on time for our dates."

Advay smirked. "Yeah, because you know I'd leave without you."

The audience burst into laughter as Ananya playfully shoved him.

Karan clapped. "Okay, next one—what's Ananya's most annoying habit, according to Advay?"

BEEP!

Advay slammed the buzzer instantly. "She takes forever to decide what to eat at restaurants."

Ananya gasped. "HEY!"

The audience erupted in laughter as Karan dramatically placed a hand over his heart. "Oh my god, yes!"

Advay grinned. "Tell me I'm wrong."

Ananya crossed her arms. "It's called exploring options!"

Karan laughed. "Darling, it's called wasting time!"

The scoreboard now showed Ananya - 2, Advay - 2.

Karan smirked. "Alright, last question. This will decide the winner—what is Advay's guilty pleasure?"

Ananya immediately slammed the buzzer. "Watching fan reactions after matches."

Karan blinked in surprise. "Wait… what?"

Ananya grinned. "Yeah. After every match, whether he's played great or had an off day, he secretly watches all the fan reactions on Instagram and Twitter."

The audience burst into laughter as Advay groaned, shaking his head.

"Wow," he muttered. "Betrayal on live television."

Karan was losing it. "Wait, wait, wait—so you're telling me that THE Advay Rai, the record-breaking IPL champion, the guy who won a final with a last-ball six, sits in his room scrolling through memes and reactions about himself?"

Ananya laughed. "Oh, absolutely. He acts all cool and unbothered, but the minute he's alone, he's checking everything."

Advay rubbed his temples. "I feel so exposed right now."

The audience was dying of laughter as Karan dramatically placed a hand over his heart. "I love this. I love that even a man who has achieved everything still wants to see what fans are saying about him."

Ananya smirked, nudging Advay. "He even laughs at the memes."

Advay sighed. "Some of them are funny, okay?"

Karan clapped his hands, laughing. "Okay, that's it. I have my favorite revelation of the episode!"

The scoreboard now showed Ananya - 3, Advay - 2.

Karan grinned. "And with that, the final score is Ananya - 3, Advay - 2! Ananya wins!"

Ananya grinned, raising her arms in victory. "YES!"

Advay rolled his eyes. "I demand a rematch."

Karan laughed. "Sorry, darling, the results are final. Ananya knows you better."

The audience cheered as Ananya smirked smugly, while Advay just shook his head, knowing he'd never live this down.

Karan leaned back, smirking. "Alright, let's shift gears a bit. We have to talk about your future. Advay, let's start with you—RCB fans are dying to know. Will you be staying with the team next season?"

The audience immediately erupted in cheers, waiting for his response.

Advay chuckled, shaking his head. "I mean, it's not in my hands, right? The franchise has to retain me for that."

Karan raised an eyebrow. "Come on, do you want to stay?"

Advay grinned. "I love RCB. I love the fans, I love playing at Chinnaswamy… but retention isn't my call."

Karan smirked. "So if Virat and the management don't retain you, will you walk over to their office and personally fight them?"

The audience burst into laughter, and Advay played along, cracking his knuckles. "I might."

Ananya laughed, shaking her head. "He would, honestly."

Karan grinned, turning to the camera. "RCB management, if you're watching this… you better retain him, or you'll have a very angry fanbase coming after you."

The audience cheered again, chanting 'RCB! RCB!'

Karan then turned to Ananya. "And what about you? You have some really exciting films lined up, don't you?"

Ananya nodded. "Yeah, my next film is already in post-production, and I'm set to start filming another project early next year."

Karan smiled. "Busy schedule, I see. So how are you two planning to balance all this with wedding planning?"

Advay and Ananya looked at each other and shrugged at the same time.

Ananya laughed. "We'll figure it out as we go."

Advay smirked. "Or we'll just let our families handle everything."

Karan grinned, shaking his head. "Typical. Let's see if that plan works!"

Karan clapped his hands together. "Alright, now it's time for one of my favorite segments—the Call a Friend Challenge!"

The audience cheered as the screen behind them lit up with the segment title.

Karan grinned mischievously. "Here's how it works. You each have to call a friend, and they have to answer within three rings. If they pick up, you win. If they don't, well… it means you need better friends."

Advay chuckled. "That's brutal."

Ananya smirked. "Okay, I already know who I'm calling."

Karan raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Who?"

Ananya grinned as she grabbed her phone. "I'm calling Suhana."

The audience cheered as Ananya quickly dialed Suhana Khan's number.

The phone rang once.

Twice.

On the third ring, Suhana picked up. "Hello?"

The crowd erupted into cheers.

Ananya grinned. "SUHANA! You picked up in time!"

Suhana laughed. "Of course! Wait… am I on Koffee with Karan right now?"

Karan leaned toward the mic. "Yes, darling, you are!"

Suhana groaned playfully. "Oh no, this is a setup!"

Karan laughed. "Relax, we just wanted to test how good of a friend you are. And congratulations, you passed!"

Ananya smirked. "I knew you wouldn't let me down."

Suhana teased. "Unlike Advay in the 'How Well Do You Know Each Other?' game?"

Advay groaned. "Wow. I'm getting roasted even off-camera now?"

Karan laughed. "Alright, alright, let's see if Advay's friend will pick up!"

Advay grabbed his phone, smirking. "I'm calling Virat."

The audience went wild.

The phone rang once.

Twice.

Three ti—

"HELLO?!"

Virat's voice boomed through the speaker. "What happened? Why are you calling? Is this an emergency?"

The entire studio burst into laughter.

Advay facepalmed. "Bro, calm down. You're on Koffee with Karan."

There was a pause.

Then Virat groaned loudly. "Oh god. Karan, why are you always dragging me into these things?"

Karan laughed. "Because we love you, Virat!"

Virat scoffed. "Sure, sure. What's going on?"

Karan grinned. "We were just testing if you're a good friend or not, and congratulations, you passed!"

Virat mock-gasped. "Oh wow, what an honor. Should I frame this moment?"

Advay chuckled. "Yeah, yeah, you're a great friend. Now go back to whatever you were doing."

Virat laughed. "Tell Ananya not to let you win the rapid-fire round."

Ananya smirked. "Oh, don't worry. That's already handled."

Karan clapped. "Well, that was perfect! You both have great friends!"

The segment ended with the audience laughing, and Karan preparing for the next round.

Karan rubbed his hands together, eyes twinkling. "And now, it's time for the most anticipated part of the show—the Rapid-Fire Round!"

The audience erupted into cheers, and an assistant placed the iconic Koffee with Karan hamper on the table between Advay and Ananya.

Karan grinned mischievously. "Alright, you both know the rules. Fast answers, no dodging, and maximum honesty. The one with the wittiest and most entertaining responses wins this beautiful hamper."

Advay leaned back, smirking. "I already know this is going to be dangerous."

Ananya grinned. "Oh, it definitely is."

Karan turned to Advay first. "Alright, since you already look nervous, let's start with you."

Karan: "One thing Ananya does that annoys you?"

Advay: "She asks for a bite of my food and then steals half of it."

(Ananya gasps, while the audience bursts into laughter.)

Karan: "Who apologizes first after a fight?"

Advay: "We've never fought."

(Karan's jaw drops, and the audience reacts in shock.)

Karan: "Wait, what?! Never?!"

Ananya: "Nope. Not even once."

Karan dramatically clutches his chest. "Oh my god, you two aren't even real!"

The audience laughs as Advay smirks. "We're just that good."

Karan: "If not cricket, what would you be doing?"

Advay: "Still the owner of Swiggy and Liverpool FC."

(The audience erupts in cheers, and Karan whistles.)

Karan: "One cricketer Ananya finds attractive—besides you?"

Advay: "Jasprit Bumrah. I've already accepted it."

(Ananya laughs, while the audience cheers.)

Karan: "A Bollywood actress you'd love to do a romantic scene with?"

Advay: "Uhh…" (glances at Ananya, smirking) "…I'd rather not get punched today."

(The audience erupts in laughter.)

Karan: "One actor you think is overrated?"

Advay: "I enjoy my career, so I'll pass."

(Karan fake-groans, and the audience laughs.)

Karan: "What's more nerve-wracking—facing a super over or proposing live on TV?"

Advay: "Proposing. At least in a super over, I can hit my way out of it."

(The audience awws, and Ananya smiles.)

Karan smirked. "Alright, now it's your turn, Ananya!"

Karan: "Who is messier—Advay or you?"

Ananya: "Him. No contest."

(Advay looks offended while the audience laughs.)

Karan: "One cricketer you'd never want to babysit your future kids?"

Ananya: "Yuzi Chahal."

(The audience bursts into laughter.)

Karan: "One thing Advay does that makes you melt?"

Ananya: "Whenever he just randomly hugs me out of nowhere."

(The audience awws, while Advay smirks.)

Karan: "If you had to set up a blind date for Advay—if you weren't in the picture—who would it be with?"

Ananya: "Oh, I'd never let that happen. I'd haunt him."

(The crowd erupts in laughter.)

Karan: "What would you do if Advay shaved his head tomorrow?"

Ananya: "Pretend I don't know him."

(Advay laughs, shaking his head.)

Karan: "What's something about Advay that the world doesn't know?"

Ananya: "He remembers every detail about the people he cares about. Birthdays, favorite foods, little habits—he notices everything but never makes a big deal out of it."

(The audience awws, and Karan dramatically clutches his chest.)

Karan: "Between the two of you, who's more likely to go viral for something dumb?"

Ananya: "Me."

(Advay instantly nods, making the crowd laugh.)

Karan grinned, placing his cards down. "Alright, that was hilarious! You both did so well… but I have to declare a winner."

He dramatically looked between them before pointing at…

"ANANYA!"

The audience cheered as Ananya threw her hands in the air. "YES! I knew I'd win this."

Advay shook his head, smirking. "This is rigged."

Karan laughed. "Nope! She was funnier!"

Karan grinned, leaning back in his chair. "Well, that was hilarious. I have to say, this has been one of my favorite episodes so far!"

Advay chuckled. "You say that to everyone, Karan."

Karan gasped dramatically. "How dare you? I am deeply hurt. But fine, let's wrap this up with one final question before we go."

He turned to both of them, smirking. "When's the wedding?"

The audience erupted in cheers, while Ananya and Advay exchanged amused glances.

Ananya sighed, shaking her head. "I knew this was coming."

Advay smirked. "You always do this."

Karan grinned, shrugging innocently. "I have to ask! The world needs to know!"

Ananya crossed her arms playfully. "Oh, so now you're turning Koffee with Karan into a wedding announcement show?"

Karan dramatically placed a hand over his chest. "Darling, I would if I could! Imagine the TRP ratings!"

The audience laughed as Advay leaned back, smirking. "I think we'll keep you waiting a little longer, Karan."

Karan groaned dramatically. "Ugh, you're killing me! Not even a hint?"

Advay, smirking, leaned forward. "Alright, fine. I'll tell you."

The audience gasped, and Karan's eyes widened in excitement. "Wait, really?! Oh my god, hold on—let me take a sip of coffee first!"

Ananya shook her head, laughing. "You're too excited for this."

Karan set down his cup, clasping his hands together. "Okay, I'm ready. Hit me with it."

Advay smirked, looking straight at the camera. "February 19, 2021."

The audience exploded into cheers and applause.

Karan gasped, putting a hand over his mouth. "OH. MY. GOD! This is huge! We got the exclusive wedding date reveal on Koffee with Karan!"

Ananya laughed. "Happy now?"

Karan fanned himself dramatically. "I need a moment. I am overwhelmed with joy."

Advay chuckled. "We figured you'd get it out of us eventually, so why fight it?"

Karan grinned. "I love you both. This is the best episode ever. And now, I expect a front-row seat at the wedding!"

Ananya smirked. "You'll get an invite… but front row? We'll think about it."

The audience laughed as Karan groaned. "Unbelievable. Anyway, thank you both for coming—it's been such a fun episode!"

The studio erupted in applause as Karan turned to the camera. "And that's it for today! This has been Koffee with Karan, with two of my absolute favorites, Ananya Panday and Advay Rai! See you next time!"

The cameras cut, officially ending the episode.
