Class Awakening 1

The leaderboard stabilised and froze on the number one billion. Relief came from the knowledge that any and everyone who could look up to that leaderboard had survived but chaos soon ensued as the survivors started questioning what had happened to the rest, where they dead or where they returned and if so did they really win?

The scary looking being soon broke the tension and silence by introducing himself and a few basic details of the "Game" as he called it. "Listen up weaklings! Look at you, you and your delightfully fear stricken and confused faces, anyone could read your thoughts like a book." He said menacingly whilst relishing the mental turmoil the survivors where going through. "Ok enough with the unsavory atmosphere, let me get to business. Out of all the sentient beings on Earth, a billion survived, and so since a lot of you survived the game has relegated you to different severs which just like this one is overseen by a Guardian."

He paused as if the next part annoyed him to say, "I aargh as your Guardian am tasked with the duty of guiding you through the First Turn's sequences and afterwards you will be partially on your own. Yaaay! Ok! You must be wondering why and how you got here and how you can return to your old lives? Well you can't that is unless you conquer this place known as the God's game realm. How can you conquer it you ask, weeeell by being as entertaining as you can for the Greater beings so as to garner their favour. The more favourable you are to them the more rewards, attention and power you will get in the form of donations, sponsorship or other stuff I'm not allowed to reveal yet. Right now since it is still the introductory phase their influence is still blocked off. If you want power and if you hope that one day you can return to your old lives then live, play and best of all survive!"

"In this turn you will have the chance to awaken your class, most have you have managed to awaken your unique skills. Just like how you awakened in Turn 0, you must also do the same here if you want to increase the odds of survival. Ok I am done here. Good luck insects hope when we meet in the next turn they will be less of you!" He muttered the last part cynically.

As soon as the Guardian finished and left, the screen appeared again.

Everything goes black.

Leon and various others opened their eyes to find themselves in a large hall which had three floors. The first floor of the hall had a lot of shelves filled to the brim with unique looking books, some glowing, some scary looking but all in all the hall looked enchanting. At the centre of the large ovoid hall was a woman sitting behind an oak table filled with open books. She sneaked a look at the new arrivals from behind the book she was holding and smiled.

The woman looked cute yet pretty, wise yet innocent. She had long ears and beautiful silver hair. Leon wondered to himself if she was one of the mythical creatures he had only heard of in stories. Was she an elf? Leon mumbled to himself. She made a gesture for the group to come closer. The group, especially the guys enchanted by her beauty did not stand on ceremony, they walked over as fast as they could whilst trying to maintain a good image of themselves to the elf librarian.

Once the group was gathered, the Elf introduced herself as Arya the overseer of the Arched Library. She told the group that inorder to awaken the class they had to hold the crystal ball on her table and a book perfect for the participant will appear, though it was limited to the first floor. She also told them that they could access higher floor books by exchanging achievement points for the priviledge.

"Open your status windows to access your achievement tokens. Achievement tokens are based off of you accomplishments in the game so far and they vary from player to player." Just as she finished talking all of the players in the library including Leon opened their status windows.
