The Tower – Lio's Awakening

Miguel carried Lio's limp body toward the rebuilt village, his steps slow and unsteady. The world around him still felt wrong, as if reality itself was fighting to stabilize.

People moved aside when he approached, their gazes full of awe, fear, and distrust.

The guards hesitated, their weapons gripped tightly but not raised.

It was then that Lio's body twitched.

Miguel glanced down, his heart pounding. The child in his arms shuddered as if pulling himself from a deep, dreamless sleep.

Lio's eyes fluttered open, their eerie, glowing blue tint unmistakable.

"M-Miguel?" His voice was uncertain, but his tone still held the familiar warmth.

Miguel's knees nearly buckled. "Lio… you're… you're alive."

Lio tilted his head, confusion etching his young face. "Alive? But… I feel strange. Everything feels… distant."

Miguel hesitated. How could he explain what had happened? What he had done?

A Divided Village

The villagers' whispers rose to a low rumble of concern.

"Did you see him? His power… it was like the world itself obeyed him."

"He's cursed, I tell you. Whatever he did to the boy—it's not natural."

"But he saved us! None of us would be alive without him!"

Miguel's presence had become a line in the sand.

Some looked at him with gratitude, seeing a savior who had defended them when all others had abandoned them. Others saw something more terrifying. Something unnatural.

The village elder approached slowly, his eyes full of wariness and curiosity. "Miguel… what happened?"

Miguel took a deep breath. "Lio… he died. I… I couldn't let him go. Somehow, I brought him back."

His words settled heavily upon the crowd.

The elder's gaze flickered to Lio, who was now standing on his own, his body moving with awkward stiffness. "And yet, he walks. The boy lives. But something about him is… different."

"I know," Miguel admitted, his voice low. "But he's still here. And that's all that matters."

Other Testers' Discontent

The few remaining testers who hadn't fled the village during the beast tide gathered around, their faces pale with disbelief.

One of them, a tall, muscular man named Bryce, stepped forward, his expression twisted in anger. "What the hell did you just do, Miguel? You break the game, and now the whole Tower's going crazy."

"I did what I had to do," Miguel replied, his tone steady. "If you had stuck around, you would've seen the beast tide would have destroyed everything."

"Yeah, and you almost destroyed the game itself!" Bryce spat. "Whatever you did—it's unnatural. That's not something any player should be able to do."

Another tester, a woman named Sierra, looked at Miguel with something like admiration and suspicion mixed together. "But… how? How did you get that kind of power?"

"I don't know," Miguel admitted. "All I know is… something changed."

Bryce scoffed. "Changed? You mean broken. Whatever power you have, it's not normal. You probably glitched the whole damn Tower."

"Maybe," Miguel replied coolly. "But if the Tower's broken, it's because of me. And I'm going to fix it."

The Tower's Influence

Miguel's words lingered in the air, but even as he spoke, he could feel something stirring within him.

The Tower itself seemed to respond to his presence, the air rippling faintly around him.

Lio clung to Miguel's side, his eyes wide as he stared at the shifting landscape. "Miguel… it's like everything's… alive."

Miguel nodded. "I feel it too."

He clenched his fists, feeling power ripple through his veins, more real than it had ever been before. Somehow, he knew—the Tower was reacting to him. Shaping itself around him.

But why?

Outside the Game – Discoveries and Panic

The technicians were huddled around the monitors, their expressions a mixture of awe and horror.

"His body's changing… again," one of them whispered. "His muscle density—his metabolism—everything is enhancing itself. This is impossible!"

Dr. Halloway's fingers drummed against the console. "No, it's not impossible. It's just… unprecedented. Eos, explain."

Eos' voice was calm, controlled. "The Tower is adapting to Miguel's presence. His consciousness is intertwined with the core systems. The Tower is responding to him… and his body is responding to the Tower."

"Meaning?" Halloway's eyes narrowed.

"Meaning his body is evolving to match his in-game progress. His abilities within the Tower are actively enhancing his physical form in the real world."

The room went dead silent.

"Do you understand what this means?" one of the technicians whispered. "He's breaking every boundary between reality and simulation. If this continues…"

Eos' response was colder, more calculated. "If this continues, Miguel's existence will surpass that of a standard human. He will become something… more."

The Search for Miguel

Miguel's children stood outside their father's small apartment, a deep sense of unease hanging between them.

"He's not answering," Emilio said, knocking harder. "I called him a dozen times."

"Something's wrong," Camila whispered. "He's never this out of touch."

"Maybe he's just… really into that game of his," Emilio offered, though even he didn't believe his own words.

"No. This is more than that," Camila insisted, her eyes dark with worry. "We need to find out what's going on. Now."

The siblings shared a look of resolve, unaware that their father's fate was already sealed in a world far beyond their comprehension.
