Darius walked to the hospital. He was going to pick Lena up. It was the day she was getting discharged, and Darius couldn't contain the smile on his face. He was beyond happy when he got the message from the doctor the other night.
'Darius, I am happy to tell you that the surgery was a success and Lena is now out of danger.'
Darius couldn't contain himself that night, he was filled with joy when he saw it and he knew that five months of thinking had been solved.
"Now all I have to worry about is making her happy and putting food on the table for both of us." Darius thought to himself as he walked to the hospital, he was not going to be worrying about his sister leaving him in the world all alone.
"Still, all this is possible because of her in a way." Darius was looking at his hands, his thoughts had led him to something he was not even thinking of, but it was there to see.
If it was not for Lena's, he wouldn't have gotten the powers he had now, he would still be an F-ranked warrior that everyone would pick on.
"Well, I am technically still an F ranked but then there is no way these powers will be hidden for long." Darius stroked his chin, he knew that he was going to need to make sure that nothing was going to be wrong with Lena and their finances, so he was going to look for a way to get more raids and be sure that there was enough for them.
When Darius got to the hospital, the nurses were happy to see him, without knowing Darius had worked his body out to the extent that he was looking like an embodiment of perfection.
"Hello Mr. Winters," The nurse at Reception greeted Darius, she stared at Darius, shocked to see him standing there looking at her like that. "You must be here to see your sister?"
"Yeah, I am here to pick her up." Darius had a smile on his face, he was not going to be getting over the fact that he was going to be able to take Lena home and take care of her.
"She's getting discharged?" The nurse sounded happy for Darius. "Thank goodness, I know you must have worked hard to make sure that it would be possible."
Darius scratched his head, he knew that there was nothing he wouldn't do to make sure that Lena was okay. "That's how brothers are meant to be with sisters, I will have to make sure that she is going to be okay."
Darius didn't know what he was going to call it, but he knew that he was always going to look for a way to make sure that his little sister was going to get the life she deserved.
The nurse was moved with Darius' words, she was not going to be able to hold in her tears of joy. "Aren't you meant to be seeing the doctor? Don't let me hold you from seeing Lena."
Darius smiled as he walked past the nurse, he waved his hand. "I will see you around."
The nurse waved back with a smile still on her face.
Darius got Lena's ward, but she was not there, Darius went into a state of panic. He was not sure what had happened, he looked around but she was not there.
Darius turned and dashed for the doctor's office, he was not going to be standing there, and his sister was missing.
Not wasting any time, he burst the office door open. "Doctor Craig, do you…"
Darius paused when he saw Lena wearing a stethoscope, sitting across from Doctor Craig as he was talking to a patient.
"Brother!" Lena sprang up from the chair, she wasted no time to hug Darius.
Darius was relieved, he didn't want to imagine that there was something wrong with his sister.
"I will talk to you soon," Doctor Craig had finished talking to the patient, once the patient was out of the room. Craig turned to Darius, he was smiling a lot. "Sorry if you had a tough time looking for her, she wanted to follow me to the office and play with those."
Darius looked at his sister and he could see the stethoscope on her neck.
"So doc, is she going to be a lead surgeon?!" Darius joked around, Doctor Craig laughed when he heard it.
Darius let go of Lena, he walked close to the doctor. He was sure that he hadn't thanked him for all the good things he had done for them.
"Words can't describe how happy I am that I got the chance to meet someone like you, if not I would not have imagined what would Lena's fate." Darius was thanking Doctor Craig, he knew that if it was someone else, then he might have never gotten to be with his sister.
Craig smiled and placed his hand on Darous' shoulder. "You are a good man, Darius, so don't thank me that much. If you hadn't done something, you would not have had a chance to see her again."
Craig was not going to let Darius keep thanking him like it was only him that did something to save his sister when he knew that almost all the main work was done by Darius and his brave heart that did it.
"Now the only thing you have to worry about is what you are going to be doing from now on. I presume you will be going on more raids from now on." Doctor Craig turned to Darius, he looked lost.
"Uhm, I don't know what that looks on your face is but then I want to believe that you already have an idea on raids."
Darius sighed. He was not going to push it further. He knew nothing about the raids or what he would do next after all those things.
"I don't know much about the raids and Warriors Association, I just joined the raid team for the last uncharted dungeon." Darius was looking at Craig, he didn't know what he was going to do if he was to head for a raid.
Craig was surprised when he heard that Darius had no idea what he was going to be doing next. "Then why not head to the Warrior's Lobby? You will find a raid team there and who knows, you might find a guild in need of a warrior."
Darius felt relieved when he was reminded of the lobby, the main reason he was not going to the lobby was because of his rank. He would get mocked if he were to step into the Lobby, but now with his strength he would be able to match up.
"I forgot about them, I don't know if they would take an F ranked." Darius knew that the warriors would not be welcoming to his rank, and they would do anything possible to make sure that they would not throw her out of the lobby if he was to step in like that.
Doctor Craig turned to look at Darius, he had a smile on his face. He was sure that nothing was going to make anyone even mock him.
"You will be fine, I am sure there would be jobs for warriors in your rank so you won't be having a problem." Craig was looking at Nathan, he had a smile on his face. "All you need to do is head out there and make sure that nothing is going to stop you."
Darius knew that the doctor was not lying and with his new powers, he was not going to be having any issue. 'All I have to do is make sure that nothing is going to be keeping me from making enough.'
Darius smiled, he knew that he was worrying way too much.
"Yeah, I have to make sure nothing is going to be in my way. Besides, if I don't think straight, there will be no way for me to even make enough one person talk more of two now that Lena is healed."
Doctor Craig was happy to see that Darius was optimistic, it was not easy for him in any way, but if there was one thing, it was a relief seeing him smile like that.
"Now take your sister and head home, I think she has had enough of this hospital smell." Craig gestured Darius to leave with Lena, Darius went over to his sister, taking her hand, they waved the doctor goodbye before leaving the office.
