Tegeshi was looking at Darius, he couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"What in the world do you mean that you're an F rank?" He was trying to find out what the young man meant by he was still an F rank.
"Well, for starters, it's the rank I got at the evaluation. I have not gone there again so it's kinda stuck with me." Darius explained that he was looking at Tegeshi.
He knew that the warrior's evaluation would show him his real rank if he was to go for it again, but something made him want to avoid it for the time being.
Tegeshi was beyond surprised when he heard that Darius was an F rank, he could have sworn that the boy was an F rank.
'So what is he? Some kind of error ranked?' Tegeshi was looking at Darius, he was not sure if there was going to be a clear explanation of what was even going on, but then he didn't want to push it further with Darius.
"Alright, my advice when you have the time, book another evaluation test and go for it. There has to be something you missed in the first one." Tegeshi stared at Darius, the man in front of him was a mystery and he knew that there was something about him that kept shaking in his head.
Darius smiled, he was happy that he had his weapons so he knew that he was ready for a raid, but then he didn't know what he was going to meet there. 'This isn't going to be like last time!'
Darius recalled the Basilisk and what it had done to him, the way he was helpless with nothing to do but pray that the beast wouldn't kill him. Darius held the blade tight as he muttered to himself.
'This time, I won't be so weak!' Darius stared at the blades, he wasn't lacking anything so it was time for him to leave.
"Thank you so much Mr. Hanzo!" Darius smiled.
The blacksmith was looking at him, he shook his head. "I should be thanking you, this is partly why I retired as a warrior. So I would be able to see magnificent warriors like you and make weapons for them."
Hanzo kept the smile on his face, he was there for the thrill of the job, and that day was no different.
Darius hung the swords on the strap, then on his back, before he turned to walk away. He turned to look at Hanzo one more time, giving him a heartfelt smile, then leaving the workshop.
Hanzo was still smiling, for some reason he knew that Darius was not like other warriors, he was something different and it was not even clear how but he was someone who seemed like he would be part of something huge.
'His presence felt so different, it was a mixture of different things. Maybe it was becasue he was in a good mood but I know that there is something about this warrior that is going to be different from the others.' Hanzo turned to the pictures on the wall, it was like he was certain that something huge was coming.
'Darius Winters, I would love to see how far you go.'
Darius had gotten to the warrior's lobby, he walked in and scanned around. He saw that people there were all busy waiting for their next raid, it was mostly warriors with no guilds that came to the lobby.
They would come there and take dungeons that were unattended, smaller guilds would take warriors who wanted to tag along for a price. It was the way of living, but then….
No one would want to take an F ranked along, they would see them as burdens that they didn't want to carry.
Darius was looking around, he didn't know who would pick him or who would even think of letting him tag along.
"This has to be one of the reasons why I hate my rank. I don't know what I am going to do with it!'
Darius knew that nothing was going to make anyone even want to work with him at the moment because of his rank, so he was going to look for raids that would need someone on any rank.
He kept looking around, not knowing what he was going to find, not looking where he was going. Darius bumped into someone.
"Ah shit,"
"I am so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going…" The man was apologizing, he looked at Darius. "I am so sorry, I hope I didn't ruin anything."
Darius shook his head, he was looking at the strange man and he could tell something was bothering him.
"Oh thank goodness, and I thought I was going to be handling another problem aside from finding people to join me on a raid." The man turned, and was about to walk away.
"You're looking for people to join you on a raid?" Nathan asked him, he didn't know if he was going to worry because he was an F rank, so he was going to try his luck and see what was going to happen.
The guy turned to look at Nathan, he had a weird look on his face. "You're not in a guild?"
Darius shook his head, he was not sure why anyone would think he was in a guild.
"So you can join in a raid?" The guy was walking closer to him, he was acting a bit weird.
"Notice, the human in front of you has his stress level rising!" Azree gave Darius a notification.
'I know I am also surprised but then I don't know why he might look this surprised.' Darius was looking at the man, he didn't know what to expect.
"Are you willing to join me and a few others on a raid? The pay is decent, twenty-five grand." The man was looking at Darius, he was waiting for his answer.
Darius smiled a bit, he didn't know if he was going to call it luck or fate but he needed to know something.
"It depends though,"
"On what?"
"Are you willing to let an F ranked tag along?"
The man stared at Darius, he was not sure what it was, but he knew that Darius was not an F rank.
"You don't look like an F rank, will you be able to keep up with B ranks?" The man asked, he was looking at Darius to know if it was going to be a good idea to bring him along.
"Yes, I will be able to handle myself." Darius gave him a quick reply, he didn't want to spend another hour looking for a guild to join.
"That is great, at least I know you won't be a problem." The man brought out his hand to shake Darius. "The name's Theo, Theo Sung."
Darius shook his hand, he smiled. "I'm Darius Winters."
