After being called into the private room by Ye Xingguo, Ye Chu immediately noticed Mr. Li sitting in the main seat.

Mr. Li looked like he was in his forties, with thinning hair and a big belly. As soon as he saw Ye Chu, his triangular eyes lit up, looking like he couldn’t wait to devour her.

Ye Chu stood at the door, feeling disgusted by Mr. Li’s gaze.

“Mr. Li!” Ye Xingguo interrupted him. “Your business is huge. How could she not want to? We are honored to have this opportunity!”

Just as she was about to be pulled onto Mr. Li’s lap, Ye Chu had a sudden idea. She quickly lowered her body and sat down on the chair next to Mr. Li instead.

To prevent Mr. Li from pulling her again, Ye Chu quickly poured some red wine into the glass in front of her.

“Mr. Li, I don’t have much knowledge or eloquence. Today, our meeting is fate. I’ll toast to you.” Ye Chu raised the glass to Mr. Li and deliberately softened her voice, saying, “If Mr. Li is willing, please drink this glass of wine?”

“Mr. Li is amazing!” Ye Chu exaggeratedly exclaimed, pouring another glass. “I’ll toast to Mr. Li again.”

As Ye Chu raised the glass, Mr. Li reached out to stop her. He turned his head and stared at Ye Chu’s face, leaning in close to sniff her scent. “Miss Ye, are you trying to get me drunk?”

“Mr. Li, how could you say that? I’m still waiting to do business with you. If I get you drunk, won’t you punish me later?” Ye Chu put down the glass obediently and pushed Ye Xingguo forward while pretending to complain.

Men always wanted to show their power in front of women before they got what they wanted.

“Punish you?” Mr. Li reached out and grabbed Ye Chu’s shoulder, his fingers wandering on her skin.

Ye Chu felt disgusted but still nodded, looking aggrieved.

“Ye Chu is also your daughter, Mr. Ye. If you hurt her, I would feel heartbroken!” Mr. Li looked at Ye Xingguo across from him, speaking in a playful yet threatening tone.

Ye Xingguo quickly smiled and said, “No, no, Ye Chu is just joking with you.”

Looking at Mr. Li's expression, Ye Chu was shocked and tried to withdraw her hand, but Mr. Li dragged her to the sofa and pushed her down while taking off his suit jacket.

"Mr. Ye, why are you still here?" Mr. Li turned his head slightly and glanced at Mr. Ye, smiling, "Your daughter is here, are you going to leave her?"

"How could it be?" Mr. Ye quickly got up and left. When he reached the door, he reminded, "Ye Chu, take good care of Mr. Li."

Mr. Ye left after speaking.

As the sound of the door closing echoed, Ye Chu's heart sank. She had never harbored any hope for Ye Xingguo.

If it weren't for saving her mother, she would never have returned to the Ye family in her lifetime.
