Don’t Cry, Be Good

When she realized she was lying in Gu Muchen’s arms, she stiffened up. Then she scrambled away from him like a scared rabbit, kicking and pushing him with big movements. She hurried back to the corner where she was before, lowering her head and nervously playing with her hands.

Gu Muchen hadn’t been holding her very tightly, so when she pushed him, his arms became empty right away, and the warm feeling between them disappeared just like that.

"You're quick to use and throw people away, aren’t you?" he said sarcastically.

Gu Muchen put his arms down, sat up straight, and looked straight ahead. He didn’t touch her or look at her, but his voice clearly showed he was unhappy.

Ye Chu’s cheeks turned red, and her little hands twisted together tightly.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to..."

"See, you’ve wrinkled it," Gu Muchen said, straightening his body just a little, showing Ye Chu the suit she had messed up, especially the collar that she had pulled and rubbed.
