A Mysterious Figure Helped Her Out of the Predicament

Isabella's voice trembled with guilt, making her friends think that Skyler was bullying her again.

"What's wrong with you? Coming here to make trouble? Why would Isabella take your ring?"

"Yeah! Everyone knows you're so poor, Skyler, that you had to sell your body back in college. What could you possibly have that Isabella would want?"

"Exactly! Even Liam didn’t want you. Who do you think you are, still acting like the White family’s young miss?"

"Hey, manager, why haven’t you kicked her out yet? This kind of low-class woman shouldn’t even be allowed in here. She’s disgusting!"

The so-called rich ladies quickly defended Isabella.

Not long ago, these same people had fought to befriend Skyler.

But now that she had lost everything, they all turned against her.

However, Skyler didn’t seem to hear their insults at all.

Her clear eyes stayed locked on Isabella’s face. Her voice was calm but firm. "Isabella, I’ll say it again. Give me back my ring."

"When did I take your ring? Stop slandering me! Skyler, get out of here, you dirty—"

Smack!

Before Isabella could finish, Skyler slapped her hard.

Isabella stared at her in shock.

"You… You actually hit me!" Isabella shrieked.

Not just Isabella, but even the rich girls around her and the other restaurant guests were stunned.

Skyler spoke slowly and clearly, "Isabella, I want my ring back. If you lie to me again, I’ll slap you again. You know me, Isabella. I always keep my word."

"You… You b*tch!" Isabella was too shocked to react for a moment.

"What gives you the right to hit me?! Skyler, you shameless slut! You’re gonna regret this!"

Isabella lunged at Skyler, and the two of them tumbled onto the couch.

Sophia rushed over to help, but the other rich girls joined in, and soon, chaos broke out.

"What’s going on outside?"

A deep, calm voice came from inside the restaurant.

"Assistant Moore!"

The manager saw the man walking out of the VIP room and immediately rushed over, completely ignoring the fight.

"Why did Assistant Moore come out? If you needed something, you could have just rung the bell..."

The manager was panicked.

The VIP room guest had a difficult personality. If even the smallest thing disturbed him, the entire restaurant would be in trouble.

And now, even his assistant, Moore, had come out.

Everyone was probably going to suffer today.

But the young man called Assistant Moore didn’t seem angry at all. He just leaned in and whispered something to the manager.

While speaking, his gaze stayed on Skyler.

At that moment, Isabella had pinned Skyler down, making her bite her lip in pain.

When Skyler looked up, she saw a young man standing beside the manager, frowning at her.

Her heart skipped a beat. A bad feeling crept up inside her.

Was he going to kick her out?

After a while, the young man left, and the manager came back, panting.

"Enough! Stop this nonsense!" he yelled. "You two! Go pull them apart!"

The waiters rushed over to break up the fight.

After much effort, they finally managed to separate them.

Isabella’s left cheek was swollen, and her once-perfect hair was now a messy disaster.

Skyler, on the other hand, had no visible injuries, but her body was sore from the pinches Isabella had secretly given her.

Seeing the manager arrive, Isabella smirked at Skyler through her messy hair.

"Skyler, are we getting kicked out?" Sophia asked nervously, grabbing Skyler’s hand.

She had seen the man come out of the VIP room. That room wasn’t open to regular customers. The people inside were probably not people she, a second-generation rich girl, could afford to offend.

Skyler pursed his lips and didn’t say anything, but he held Sophia’s hand tightly. His palm was sweaty.

Just then, the manager walked over with a serious expression.

"I'm sorry, but we cannot serve these customers. Someone, please escort them out!" he ordered.

To their surprise, the waiters didn’t escort Skyler out. Instead, they walked over to Isabella and her friends, asking them to leave.

"What? Are you mistaken? I’m Isabella, the daughter of the Jones family! You told the manager to throw out Skyler, so why are you dragging me out?" Isabella yelled.

"I'm sorry, Miss Jones," the manager said, "but the restaurant will no longer welcome you. For the sake of both our reputations, please leave with your friends."

"No! I don’t believe it! I want to speak to your manager in person!" Isabella shouted.

But the manager was already standing beside Skyler, rubbing his hands nervously, looking humble.

"Miss Skyler, are you okay? Did you get hurt anywhere? This was all a misunderstanding. Please don’t take offense. You can come to our restaurant anytime in the future, even without a membership. And today’s meal will be on the house."

Skyler was stunned. Her eyes were filled with disbelief.

She thought she would be the one getting kicked out.

Could it be that the person who just got kicked out was...

Sophia snorted unhappily. "On the house? Do you think we care about your free meal? You lowly, narrow-minded man!"

"Yes, yes, I was narrow-minded," the manager quickly said. "Miss Skyler, Miss Sophia, please allow me to make up for my mistake. You’re welcome to dine in the VIP room. It’s the least I can do to apologize."

He wiped his sweat, trying to be as flattering as possible.

He hadn’t expected Skyler to have such powerful connections.

All it took was one argument for a VIP in the private room to take notice of her.

"Master Lee, the dispute outside has been settled," William, the first assistant, reported respectfully to Logan inside the VIP room.

Logan, who had ordered William to resolve the situation for Skyler, sat at the head of the table with an expressionless face. His sharp eyebrows furrowed slightly, and his deep eyes remained fixed on the woman sitting outside.

The glass walls of the VIP room were specially designed. Those inside could see out, but outsiders couldn’t see in.

Through the glass, Logan had witnessed the supposedly weak and submissive woman get into a public fight.

"I looked into Skyler, Master Lee. She’s really nothing special! She got into a fight out there… all over a ring!"

At that moment, Logan’s second assistant, Noah, walked in with a look of disdain.

William and Noah were brothers, both sons of Uncle Moore.

But compared to William, Noah clearly disliked Skyler more.

"A ring?" Logan’s eyes darkened.

"Yeah, just a stupid ring. I don’t know why anyone would bother stealing it," Noah scoffed.

Logan was silent for a moment, his gaze once again landing on Skyler’s face through the glass.

At that moment, Skyler, who had been whispering to her friend, suddenly seemed to sense something. She turned and looked toward the VIP room.

Her once calm expression suddenly changed—her lips curled into a bright, playful smile, and her eyes glimmered with mischief.

Logan’s pupils contracted slightly.

The next second, a gentle and refined man appeared in the hallway outside the private room.

"James, over here!"

Skyler stood up and waved at the man with a dazzling smile.
