Leave Her Alone!

As Kiyo busied himself in the kitchen preparing dinner, he turned to Kiri and remarked, "You know, Kiri, ever since I decided to leave school, life seems to have become much more peaceful. Today marks our final day in this city…… I'm hopeful that in our new home, I'll find genuine friends who won't judge me for my perceived weaknesses. Instead, they'll stand by me through thick and thin…… Though such people seem rare, I've been fortunate to have met individuals like Shiori and Ayame……. Yeah, I had to let Shiori go, but I trust Goro will take good care of her. And as for Ayame, it seems our paths may never cross again after I transfer.”

Kiyo's phone suddenly rang, drawing his attention away from the conversation. He glanced at the screen and remarked, "Hey, Kiri, it's Ayame calling."

Answering the call, Kiyo greeted, "Hello, Ayame?"

"So, it's your last day in town." Ayame's voice came through the line,

"That's right.” Kiyo responded, “We're wrapping up the preparations now. Planning to leave after dinner."

"We? Are you heading out with someone?” Ayame's curiosity piqued,

Kiyo chuckled and replied, "Yes, indeed. Kiri's accompanying me on this journey."

"Oh, Kiri, of course,” Ayame said, “I wish we could meet one last time."

"That sounds wonderful” Kiyo replied enthusiastically, “Why don't you come over? I'll whip up a delicious dinner for us to share."

Ayame hesitated, "I'm still on duty, you know."

“No need to worry. I have a strong feeling that our paths will cross again” Kiyo reassured her, “and we'll stay connected through calls.”

"Yes, okay. We'll catch up once you've settled in. For now, duty calls." Ayame concurred,

"Alright, take care. Bye." Kiyo bid farewell,

Ayame echoed "You too. Goodbye." Kiyo ended the call……

An hour later, Kiyo and Kiri sat down on the bed, ready to eat their dinner. Kiyo advised, "Take your time, Kiri. Our flight isn't until later."

With a smile, Kiyo began his meal, stealing glances at Kiri as they both enjoyed their dinner together.

After a few minutes, a series of heavy knocks echoed through Kiyo's apartment door. Startled, Kiyo called out, "Who's there?" The pounding intensified, sending shivers down Kiyo's spine.

With growing fear, Kiyo raised his voice, "Who's there?" Without warning, the door was forcefully kicked in, and the room was invaded by the same gang of boys.

Terror gripped Kiyo's heart as he recognized the imminent danger. Desperate to escape, he tried to flee, but one of the boys caught him, ruthlessly grabbing his hair and raining down a barrage of brutal blows.

Amidst the chaos, three boys mercilessly beat Kiyo, while another unleashed destruction, tearing apart everything within his home. The room spiraled into madness as Kiyo suffered through the relentless assault.

With overwhelming force, two boys dragged Kiyo to his knees, pinning him down. As he struggled, another boy stepped forward, sneering, "Kiyo, Kiyo, Kiyo, you've made a big mistake.”

Trembling with fear, Kiyo stammered, "I-I didn't inform anyone." His feeble protest was met with a vicious punch to the face, sending blood splattering across the floor.

At a signal from their leader, the two boys holding Kiyo abruptly released him, causing him to collapse to the ground. Blood streaked across his battered face as he hit the floor.

A sinister grin twisted the face of the leader of boys as he pressed his foot onto Kiyo's injured face, "You pathetic little worm, we'll turn your existence into a nightmare." he bellowed.

Two of the boys grabbed Kiyo’s suitcase and flung it out the window with contemptuous force. Inside, chaos erupted as the gang tore through Kiyo’s home, methodically destroying everything in their path and leaving devastation in their wake.

Laughter filled the room as one of the boys announced, "Hey, check out what I found."

Kiyo's heart sank as he caught sight of Kiri struggling in that boy's grasp, her eyes wide with fear. With a cry of desperation,

"Nooo, please, leave her alone!" Kiyo pleaded out loud.

Kiri's attempts to break free were futile against the boy's iron grip,

In a voice choked with emotion, Kiyo begged, "I'll do anything, just please, let her go!" Tears streamed down his face as he watched helplessly, his heart breaking at the sight of Kiri in distress.

As the pressure on Kiyo's face increased, he continued to cry out, his voice filled with desperation, pleading for Kiri's safety. Despite the pain, he refused to be silenced.

With a sinister grin, the boy's leader barked, "End That Cat!"

Kiyo's heart sank as he watched in horror, his cries growing more frantic. Summoning all his strength, he managed to break free from the boy's grip and lunged towards Kiri. However, before he could reach her, two other boys intercepted him, delivering a barrage of blows that left him reeling in agony.

They overpowered him, restraining him as he struggled against their hold.

Kiyo's efforts to break free were in vain, his cries growing louder as he witnessed the unfolding horror. The boy's cruel grip on his hair forced him to face Kiri, whose eyes were filled with pain.

"Watch what will happen to your precious cat. Kiyo!" Whispering menacingly, the boy taunted Kiyo,

The boy seized Kiri by the neck and began choking him mercilessly.

Kiyo's heart wrenching screams echoed through the room as he desperately struggled against his restraints, his heart wrenching at the sight of Kiri's distress. Despite his best efforts, he remained trapped, helpless to save her.

Kiri's cries echoed with agony as she fought against the tightening grip, each struggle more desperate than the last. Despite Kiyo's frantic pleas, the pressure only intensified, suffocating her cries until they fell silent.

A chilling stillness settled over the room as Kiri's movements ceased, her body limp and lifeless. Kiyo's eyes widened in horror, his own cries silenced as he realized the unfathomable truth.

The boy continued to choke Kiri, while Kiyo, his expression void of emotion and filled with disbelief, uttered softly, "Leave her alone." His gaze remained fixed on Kiri, the weight of the situation sinking in with each passing moment.

As the boy released his grip and dropped Kiri's lifeless body to the ground, Kiyo's sense of disbelief only deepened.

Though the boys departed quietly, leaving Kiyo alone with his grief, he remained seated, tears streaming down his face as he looked upon Kiri's motionless form.

After a few moments of profound silence, Kiyo mustered the strength to approach Kiri's side.

As he gently placed his hand on her, a surge of shock coursed through him. With wide eyes, Kiyo realized the truth: Kiri's heart lay still, her eyes filled with unshed tears,

Kiyo let out a piercing scream, its intensity reverberating through the air, carrying with it a raw pain that seemed to echo in the depths of his soul. Tears welled up in his eyes as he surrendered to the overwhelming flood of emotion, his cries echoing the anguish within.

Shaking uncontrollably, blood staining his clothes, and tears streaming down his face, Kiyo's desperate cries for Kiri pierced the night air. Clutching her tightly in his arms…….

In the cover of darkness, with rain pouring relentlessly, Kiyo stood outside his home, the shovel in his hands carving out a grave in the sodden earth.

Tears mingled with raindrops as memories of Kiri flooded his mind, each flashback a painful reminder of their time together.

Halting his digging, Kiyo tenderly held Kiri into his arms, a fleeting smile breaking through his sorrow as he beheld her once more. With a heavy heart, he gently lowered her into the waiting grave, his gaze locking with hers in a silent exchange of love and longing, the rain serving as a mournful backdrop to their final farewell.

With a trembling hand, Kiyo extended his finger towards Kiri's mouth, hoping Kiri would lick it one last time.

But as his finger grazed her still form, the harsh reality of her absence hit him like a tidal wave.

Overwhelmed by uncontrollable rage, Kiyo let out a primal scream, his anguish echoing through the empty night as tears streamed uncontrollably down his cheeks.

With a heavy heart and tear-streaked cheeks, Kiyo rose swiftly, his hands moving with determined urgency to fill the open grave. Each shovelful of earth felt like a burden, weighing down his soul with the weight of his grief and regret.

Once the grave was completely filled, Kiyo dropped to his knees and gently placed a stone atop the mound of freshly turned soil, a solemn gesture of remembrance and apology.

"I'm sorry, Kiri," he whispered, his voice barely audible above the sound of his own sorrow. "I couldn't save you." His tears continued to fall, a silent testament to the depth of his anguish and remorse.

With tears streaming down his face, Kiyo rose to his feet and staggered away, his steps heavy with sorrow and self-doubt. He sought solace on a nearby bench, where he collapsed, overcome by his emotions.

Kiyo sat there, tears staining his cheeks. "Why am I so powerless? Why am I so weak?" he agonized silently, his voice choking with anguish.

"I don't belong in this world. It's all my fault," he lamented, consumed by guilt and self-blame.

Gazing skyward, Kiyo unleashed a piercing scream that echoed through the night, his voice fraught with anguish. "Why was I brought into this world? Whyyyyy?" he cried out, his words carrying his deep sense of despair and existential torment.

Tears streaming down his face once more, Kiyo's gaze fell upon a speeding truck hurtling down the road. His eyes widened in alarm, and a tremor ran through his body, anger seizing him.

With an angry scowl etched on his face, Kiyo rose to his feet and marched toward the road. As the truck loomed closer, he sprinted and leaped in its path. The truck's brakes screeched, but it was too late. A deafening crash echoed through the air, accompanied by the sight of blood splattering into the air.
