Yearning for Yesterday

FREYA

My footsteps echoed loudly across the dimly lit space as I climbed upwards towards my goal, a lightfly lantern in hand guiding my way. A musty smell clung to the air, coating my nose with every inhale.

The servants' stairways would now be put to optimal use. I couldn't be seen visiting the East wing of the castle as often as I was about to.

These rooms were hardly occupied so this portion of the stairways remained mostly unused. The thick veils of spiderwebs told me I wasn't the only being happy about that. Thankfully, I had no fear of spiders; Hella would be freaking out if she were here.

Onwards, I marched until I got to my destination. Like almost every other room in the castle, this stairway led me to a dressing room, and a moment later, I opened the door to the room Adrien was occupying.
