FREYA
Darkness had fallen upon us.
The sun retreated from the sky, handing over its position to the haunting moon. She stretched lazily across the night sky, bathing the palace with her sleepy gaze and touching everything with her long moonbeams.
The day had quieted down and the castle was finally going to sleep.
It was time!
I had been waiting for this all day, the anticipation growing and almost driving me mad.
Ana helped me dress up tonight since she was now aware of Adrien's presence in the castle. The soft rustle of silk skirts echoed in the corridor and my hair was braided and tucked in a snood, hiding away the white strands, the scent of jasmine oil lingering around me. It would be too easy for anyone to spot my hair, so I concealed them carefully.
I had not been totally sure about showing Ana the truth; I trusted her, yes but it was Adrien. My paranoia always made me hesitate to fully trust others with him. Especially in these delicate times.
