Episode 1: My Name Is Azem

Scene 1.0: Amaurot, Library, Time: Unknown, Age: 20 Years Before The Final Days [Dynamis Incident]

Luminescence teleports Runa to the time when she was a child in Amaurot and to her shock, she sees that her original self looks exactly as she does, but as a Hyur as the child is crying her eyes out. Before Runa could tell off Luminescence, she started hearing the whispers of the Ancients around her saying that this girl is the daughter of a pair of reckless daredevils that always caused more trouble than they were worth. They called her father a worthless failure of an Azem and her mother an unhinged barbarian unlike the great Lahabrea and his wife, Athena. Upon hearing that, Runa is enraged as she knows what became of both Lahabrea and Athena in the end. Before Runa could approach her ancient self, she is shocked to see Venat console the child that the now Au Ra can't help but to tear-up seeing this as her past memories of this moment comes to her mind instantly.

(Teen) Venat:

(Warm Yet Sad Smile)

There, there. You must be Theia. I am Venat, a friend of your parents. I was asked to care for you in their stead. From now on, I will be your mentor and friend if you will allow me.

(Kid) Theia (Runa):

(Sobbing, Hugs Venat Tightly)

And the conversation was getting good too. Fine! But know this…"Azem"…Never Say Never. Because Sooner Or Later, It Will Happen.

With a snap of her fingers, Luminescence teleports Runa and herself a few months later into the future where her Ancient Child Self, Theia is gathering a few books for her studies under Venat. Suddenly she sees 2 boys: One whose is oozing charisma as he looks like a deity on how he smiles; the other has a sour yet serious expression on his brow, almost like he has a chip on his shoulder and would snap at everyone and anyone on blink of an eye; studying together. Theia find them curious as these two boys look like extreme opposites to one another and wonders why they are together. Since Theia learned the techniques of a Job Class that will be called Rogue/Ninja in the future, she uses the "Hide" Ability in order to get close to them without being seen. As Theia got close, she got spooked for a second as the serious boy glared in her direction. She wonders if she was spotted, but refuses to believe it since Venat taught her how to pull off "Hide" with perfection that not even the current seat of Emet-Selch notices her. The serious boy looks away from the girl as she breathes a sigh of relief, thinking it was a fluke as she continues to approach them, but more carefully now since that glare of the boy made her a tad paranoid. The boy once again looks at her direction and he seems more annoyed and irritated than before. She thinks it must be someone standing behind her that is irking him, but to her surprise, there's no one behind her.

??? (Lively Boy):

(Carefree Smile)

Is that girl catching your interest? I will be honest, she does peak my interest as well.

(Kid) Hythlodaeus:

I will admit that her Hide Ability is pretty well developed, she can easily get pass someone like Elidibus and he would not notice. Do you not think so, Hades?

I'm afraid to ask, but what happens next?

Luminescence snaps her fingers and teleport themselves to a meadow field where Hades summons his DRK Sword as Runa's Ancient Self, Theia is looking at her Job Classes and decides to go PLD, but her Sword and Shield shatters upon summoning them. She said that she forgot to repair them so she will go WAR instead of PLD, but the same happened with her Ax as it shatters upon summoning. She keeps summoning her weapons from every one of her Job Classes, but they all shattered. It turns out that after her training sessions, she has a bad habit in forgetting to repair them after use. Hythlodaeus offers to repair them for her, but she says she doesn't want to trouble him on which Hades replies that she already caused trouble by not being responsible herself. Theia, furious at Hades' remark, she sticks her tongue out at him which pisses him off. Hythlodaeus just chuckles and replies that it is no trouble and that he's happy to help his "New Friend". Theia is beaming with joy that Hythlodaeus called her his friend while Hades scoffs in annoyance. She notices that and sneers at him which irritates him even further; Hythlodaeus notice this and can't help but chuckle. While repairing the weapons, he notices who gave the girl her weapons, but decides to keep the knowledge to himself as he wants to see both Hades and the girl's reaction when the truth comes to light [No Pun Intended, Dear Readers 😹]. Hades and Theia battle it out, but Hades' battle experience is higher than Theia that mid-battle Hades manages to destroy the girl's PLD Weapon that she's forced to switch classes as Venat stands next to Hythlodaeus to watch the fight. Every single time, Hades manages to overpower Theia and destroys her weapons. She switches to her final class: DRG and manages to keep up with his DRK Strength that she manages to destroy his weapon in retaliation for destroying hers. Thinking she won, the girl drops her guard and Hades switches to BLM as he casts Flare on her, winning the fight then and there.

(Kid) Theia:

(Furious)

You Cheated!

(Kid) Hades:

(Furious)

I CHEATED!?!?!? You are the one switching weapons as soon as I had the upperhand. Do not blame me that I also had a class under my sleeves for a situation like this.

(Kid) Theia:

(Kid) Hades:

(Teen) Venat:

I get the feeling they are enjoying themselves very much. Venat pulling pranks on him every chance she gets.

Runa:

(Sad Smile)

Luminescence:

Runa:

She did raise me after my original parents passed away. I remember now. My Parents were her teachers. My father was the Azem before her. My mother…she taught Venat on how to be the way she is. They died…helping Lahabrea uncover the truth behind Athena's Madness. They…were her last victims before he put a stop to her…until the now me, Runa was summoned to deal with the whole Pandæmonium mess after saving the world from the Final Days and I had to help put her down for good.

Luminescence:

Stories change per person. You are not the exception nor the rule. I learned that long ago when I gained the power I have now.

Runa:

(Saddened, Tearing-Up)

Yeah…I am sorry. But…can you give me a moment?

Luminescence:

After Runa calms down, Luminescence snaps her fingers and teleports them to see more of Runa's life as the Ancient Theia, there Luminescence shows Runa meeting and interacting with the Ancients who will eventually become "The Twelve" with one of them admiring both Venat and Theia in a way that Runa is disturbed as this one is completely attracted to them both, but mostly Theia as they are around the same age. This one is who will become Azeyma as she would always bestow gifts to both Venat & Theia, but the gifts given to Venat are symbols of respect while for Theia, the gifts given to her by "Azeyma" are that of the intimate kind. The Runa facepalms and wonders why does she have that effect on certain women as she remembers as Runa's childhood friends as in the orphanage acting around her in a similar way as the Twelve behaved towards her past self. Luminescence then shows Runa her interactions with Hades who would end up succeeding the Leader of the Convocation of Fourteen by becoming the New Emet-Selch. Originally Hythlodaeus was offered the position due to his higher level, but declined it because he knew his talents was not suitable for the position and nominated Hades for it. Hades reprimanded Hythlodaeus and told him not to do this, but he smiled, shakes his head as he tells Hades he's no leader as he does not have the strength nor resolve to do the most important decisions when the times call for it and he will not do so if said time comes. Theia jump into the inquiry, infuriating the Convocation towards her, an outsider to interfere with their proceedings. Venat silences them all by announcing that she is stepping down as the seat of "Azem" as well and that her successor has every right to make her voice heard. With Venat saying that, every member of the Convocation were stunned silent, a good number of them infuriated like Lahabrea, Igeyorhm; but others like Loghrif, Mitron and the new Elidibus, Themis finds Theia as interesting as Venat as they support Venat in letting Theia speak. Theia, now the new Azem convinces Hades that Hythlodaeus speaks the truth and he is the only one that deserves the seat of Emet-Selch right now. Hades looks around and even though many in the Convocation finds Azem to be much of a nuisance as her predecessor, they agree with her words. Hades submits to Theia's Determination and embraces his role as the new "Emet-Selch".

Runa can't believe her past self did that, but upon reflection on her own life as Runa Pendragon, she sighs humorously and admits this is her nature no matter what life she has led before. As time went on, Azem would become friends with those who supported Venat like Elidibus, Loghrif and Mitron as they are enjoying a meal together after a meeting of the Convocation of Fourteen, she notices that Loghrif and Mitron are a little too close. Azem was shocked to the point that Mitron stated talking romantically towards Loghrif that the black-haired beauty started laughing & blushing and asks Mitron not to do this in front Elidibus and Azem are watching, but she tells Loghrif that her love for her will not be denied as they all laugh. Azem, hiding her discomfort tells both Mitron and Loghrif that she needs to meet up with Emet-Selch and Hythlodaeus in a few minutes, but it was nice talking with them as she asks Elidibus if he can accompany her to meet up with her friends which he gladly accepts. As soon as they are alone, Azem stops with a sad look on her face which Elidibus finds curious for he knows Azem is not one to get like this at a moments notice.

Elidibus:

Are you well, Azem?

Azem:

Themis…Can you hear me out for a few minutes? I want your advice.

Elidibus:

I am honored for you usually go to Hythlodaeus for his wisdom. What is troubling you?

Azem:

(Sad Sigh)

Well…It is about Loghrif and Mitron. They are both Female, but they love one another in such a way…I am…confused.

Elidibus:

Understandable. Many in the Convocation would deem such a union inefficient for procreation and the expansion of one's lineage like Lahabrea and Igeyorhm would argue. Is the root of your confusion about that?

Azem:

The Power of Love and One's Duty to Continue Their Legacy. Many would say One's Duty is far more important than Love as Lahabrea would adamantly proclaim while others like Igeyorhm would debate that both are not only probable, but possible. Knowing Venat, she would say Love is the most important element in the entire union for without it, a Union would be would bear a flawed legacy.

Elidibus:

Did you encounter other Females approaching you in the same manner as Mitron approached Loghrif?

Azem:

(Looks Away In Distraught, Morbid Smile)

Luminescence smiles annoyingly and snaps her fingers and shows Runa that Azem is standing in front of a very familiar house; Azem knocks on the door and a young girl opens it; this girl has pale skin, blonde hair and blue eyes holding a Snow White Happy Bunny that Azem is taken aback by her beauty, but Runa screams in shock as she recognizes the young girl. Luminescence smiles at Runa evilly as she knows why. Mitron appears behind the girl and welcomes Azem to their home. Azem was already uncomfortable before coming to Mitron's house, but for some reason she feels more so now than before as the girl looks at Azem like she's studying her. Mitron introduces the little girl holding the Happy Bunny given to her by Loghrif as her little sister, "Luna" and asks what brings her here as Luna serves them tea. Unsure how to ask Mitron about her relationship with Loghrif, Azem has 3 ways to ask Mitron: [Semi-Direct Question] "How Did You And Loghrif Met?", [Indirect Question] "What Are Your Usual Duties In The Convocation?" and [Direct Question] "When Did You And Loghrif Fell In Love?"; however Azem has a feeling that she will ask all 3 questions in order to understand the entire situation completely.

What Are Your Usual Duties In The Convocation?

As Azem you are aware of this, but since you are Venat-Sama's Pupil, there is a structure to your reasoning. I am Mitron, The Mariner – Magister of Nautical Affairs and Surveyor of Aquatic Creations. Well…um…Loghrif is the Pastor of the Convocation. She is the Cataloger and Caretaker of Terrestrial Creations. Since she is the Cataloger and Caretaker, she usually gets in trouble with a few of our creations at the Akadaemia Anyder as she happens to be a tad forgetful.

I was planning on visiting Loghrif to get her side of the story, but I would be rehashing what Mitron just told me. Also…I do not want to open-up old wounds like this. If Loghrif really went through that, making her relive it would be torture.

After finishing their tea and hearing Mitron's "Hopelessly Enamored" Tales of her and Loghrif, Azem finally understands that Nature of Love can bloom in unexpected situations. Looks like she will have a long talk with the Ancient that will become "The Goddess Menphina" about this. As Azem leaves, she thanks both Mitron and Luna for their hospitality and when Azem is far away enough, Luna pulls on Mitron's Cloak as she ask her little sister what's wrong. Luna says that Azem is so pretty and kind that she wants to have the same relationship with her as Mitron and Loghrif have. Mitron pats her head, gives her a thumbs-up with a smile and says she believes they will. Runa is distraught as she realizes that her fears are true: Luna is in reality her Childhood Friend, Artemis who is literally the younger sister of the Original Artermis. Before Runa could answer, Luminescence shushes her and points at Runa's past life as Azem enters her home to see Venat there and is shock to see her there…

Azem:

(Shocked)

Venat!? What do I owe this visit from you?

Venat (?):

(Laughs)

Azem:

(Confused)

(Smiling)

Well…let's skip a few years ahead. Nothing of importance happens during these times. Let's do a meeting in Amaurot and then do a few quick time skips.

Luminescence snaps her fingers and teleports themselves to the Market Place that closely resembles Ul'dah's Sapphire Avenue Exchange; there Azem meets up with Mitron & her little sister and talk every time they meet there. At times Azem would meet only Luna during her travels to the market and they would interact like "Sisters", but as time moves on, Luna becomes an adult resembling her future Viera Self but as a Hyur. Luna indirectly was hinting to Azem how she feels for her, but since Azem is dense when it comes to someone sending her romantic hints, she would do the same thing back at Luna with her usual goofy look and smile on her face. Runa sees her past self and is so ashamed on seeing how dense she is, the now Au Ra blushes so hard, she look like a Ruby Tomato, facepalming in shame as she finds out that her Artemis has always had feelings for her that has transcended time and space; and behind that facepalm, Runa for some reason can't help but to smile happily as her heart is pounding that she, in a way can't believe that she in fact is in love with her. Luminescence isn't fooled by Runa since she herself is a Dark Deity, she can sense Runa's True Feelings without even trying as the Devil smiles evilly and wonders how she can use this for her amusement…
