Chapter:33

" Space-Time Ninjutsu can actually do something like this?!"

"What a terrifying ability!"

Asuma was so shocked that the cigarette fell from his mouth.

Even though he had witnessed Haruto's abilities yesterday, he now realized that he had only seen the tip of the iceberg.

"This shopkeeper… his Space-Time Ninjutsu is on an entirely different level!"

"If we compare it to Sensei's Flying Thunder God… his ability to manipulate space at will is even more terrifying!"

At this moment, Haruto's power in Kakashi's mind was equivalent to that of a Kage-level ninja.

The fact that such a powerful individual was running a simple shop in Konoha was both shocking and terrifying.

As Kakashi and Asuma exchanged glances, they saw deep unease in each other's eyes.

Asuma suddenly felt that his initial evaluation of Haruto was far off.

"This isn't just about another Nine-Tails attack… this guy could crush the Nine-Tails single-handedly!"

With such terrifying control over space, even a Tailed Beast Bomb would be meaningless.

Fortunately, the Hokage had chosen to maintain a friendly attitude toward this mysterious figure.

If Haruto were an enemy… Konoha would be in serious trouble.

Of course, Naruto, being Naruto, didn't realize any of this.

All he noticed was that the shop had suddenly become larger, and he felt much more comfortable.

"Yoshi! Now there's more space! This is awesome!" Naruto grinned cluelessly.

"Yeah, this feels much better!" Chōji agreed, stuffing another handful of chips into his mouth.

Naruto turned toward the massive golden-framed mirror standing in front of him.

"Boss, this mirror is huge! It must be super powerful, right?" he asked excitedly.

In his mind, bigger always meant stronger. Since this mirror was bigger than a person, it had to be some legendary treasure!

Haruto chuckled.

"No, no, no," he shook his head. "It has no effect in battle."

"WHAT?!" Naruto cried out in shock.

Useless in battle?!

Was his two-thousand ryo wasted?!

Naruto clutched his chest as if his heart had been shattered.

"Don't be so quick to judge," Haruto said with a knowing smile.

"Even if it doesn't help in a fight… that doesn't mean it's worthless."

"Yeah, Naruto! My Gourmet Tablecloth doesn't help in battle either, but I love it!" Chōji said as he chewed happily.

"Exactly!" Ino added. "Since the boss says it's amazing, it must have some other kind of value."

Naruto sighed heavily.

"Fine," he muttered, dragging his feet toward the mirror.

He looked into it—

And immediately froze.

The moment Naruto's eyes met the reflection, he stood completely still, as if he had been struck by lightning.

Haruto smirked.

"So, he's seeing what he desires most."

For someone like Naruto, there were only two possible things he would see in the mirror.

His parents, Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki.

Himself as Hokage.

Which one was it?

Haruto was curious.

Kakashi had been watching Naruto closely from behind.

When he noticed Naruto's blank expression, he instinctively rushed over, concerned that something had happened.

However, as soon as he glanced into the mirror…

Kakashi himself froze.

His entire body stiffened.

His breath hitched.

His lone eye widened in shock.

And then—

"...Sensei?"

A soft, dreamlike whisper escaped from his lips.

"What the heck is up with them?"

The others, confused by Naruto and Kakashi's reactions, began gathering around the mirror.

What did they see?

One by one, the rookies looked into the Mirror of Erised.

The result?

An entirely bizarre scene unfolded.

Each person saw something different, and their expressions varied wildly.

Naruto & Kiba – Their faces lit up with pure joy, grinning like idiots.

Ino & Sakura – They looked flustered, cheeks red with embarrassment, but at the same time, they refused to look away.

Chōji – Stared at the mirror in a trance, mindlessly stuffing potato chips into his mouth, as if tasting the best food in the world.

Asuma – His face turned red, his eyes filled with nostalgia and longing, looking exactly like a middle-aged man reminiscing about his youth.

Then there was Sasuke.

His reaction was the most extreme.

His entire body tensed up.

His breathing became ragged.

His pupils dilated.

And then…

His Sharingan activated.

Suddenly, Sasuke let out a primal roar, as if all his pent-up emotions had burst forth at once.

His one-tomoe Sharingan spun wildly—

And then evolved.

His eyes flashed crimson, forming two more tomoe.

In one instant, Sasuke skipped the two-tomoe stage entirely and awakened the three-tomoe Sharingan.

But the emotional shock was too overwhelming—

His chakra reserves drained instantly.

His body gave out.

And he collapsed.

"BANG!"

The sound of Sasuke's fall jolted everyone out of their daze.

"Sasuke!"

Sakura rushed forward, panic in her voice.

Chōji stopped eating, his expression turning serious.

"I got him."

Kakashi stepped in, retrieving two military ration pills and placing them in Sasuke's mouth.

After a few moments, Sasuke groggily opened his eyes.

He quickly realized what had happened.

His face darkened.

"Tch!"

Embarrassment filled his veins.

"Damn it… I lost control over an illusion?!"

For an Uchiha, that was unacceptable.

Haruto chuckled darkly.

"I see… So Sasuke saw himself killing Itachi in the mirror."

That overwhelming excitement triggered his awakening, skipping directly to the three-tomoe Sharingan.

But his chakra reserves were still too weak.

So he passed out from exhaustion.

Haruto's smirk deepened.

"Well now… things just got interesting."
