Chapter:38

Haruto leaned forward, his voice calm but firm.

"I've said it before—your Three-Tomoe Sharingan is not the strongest form of the Sharingan."

Sasuke nodded slightly, absorbing every word.

"That's why I said you're not qualified to use this yet."

Haruto lifted the small vial of eye drops, letting the light catch the shimmering liquid inside.

Sasuke's eyes narrowed, his heart racing.

"You mean… this potion is related to the Mangekyō?"

Haruto chuckled, shaking his head.

"Yes… and no."

Sasuke frowned, growing impatient.

"What do you mean?"

Haruto twirled the bottle between his fingers.

"These eye drops can heal any eye-related ailment. That includes—but is not limited to—the effects of the Mangekyō Sharingan."

Naruto tilted his head.

"So… how do you use them? Do you just splash it in your eyes?"

Haruto smirked, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"That brings us… to the true secret of the Mangekyō Sharingan."

The air in the shop grew heavy.

Everyone instinctively leaned in, waiting for him to continue.

"The Mangekyō Sharingan is powerful," Haruto said, his voice low and serious.

"But it has one fatal flaw."

Sasuke stiffened, listening intently.

Haruto glanced at Kakashi, who remained silent, his expression unreadable.

"You wouldn't notice this weakness with a normal Sharingan. But the moment you awaken the Mangekyō…"

Haruto's gaze hardened.

"Every time you use it, you lose part of your vision."

A chill ran down Sasuke's spine.

"What…?"

Haruto continued, his voice calm yet weighty.

"The more you use the Mangekyō, the faster you go blind."

Sasuke's hands tightened into fists.

"The Uchiha's strongest weapon… comes at the cost of their own sight?!"

Haruto nodded solemnly.

"Yes. That's why these eye drops are so valuable."

Kakashi narrowed his eye, a deep unease settling in his chest.

(This man knows too much…)

He had never told anyone that his own vision had begun to deteriorate from overusing the Sharingan.

And yet, Haruto was speaking as if he had been watching him the entire time.

Sasuke's mind raced.

Haruto had looked directly at Kakashi when talking about the Mangekyō's weakness…

And then it hit him.

"Wait… what did you mean when you said Kakashi-sensei would need this?!"

The room fell silent.

Haruto smirked but said nothing.

Instead, all eyes turned toward Kakashi.

Kakashi sighed heavily and slowly lifted his forehead protector, revealing his blood-red Sharingan.

"What?!"

Sasuke staggered back, his eyes widening in disbelief.

"Kakashi… has a Sharingan?!"

Naruto's jaw dropped.

"Wait, wait, wait—what?! Kakashi-sensei, you're not an Uchiha!"

Sakura blinked rapidly, trying to process what she was seeing.

"Does this mean… you have Uchiha blood?!"

Kakashi shook his head, his voice tinged with sadness.

"No. This eye… was given to me by a dear friend."

The room grew silent.

Kakashi's gaze darkened, memories flooding his mind.

"A long time ago, on a mission, I lost my left eye. My comrade… a member of the Uchiha clan… gave me his Sharingan before he died."

His voice was calm, but the pain behind his words was clear.

"It was his final gift to me."

Asuma, who already knew the story, placed a comforting hand on Kakashi's shoulder.

"Obito was a hero."

Sakura felt her heart clench, wiping away a stray tear.

Shikamaru, ever the observer, spoke next.

"Then the person Kakashi-sensei saw in the Mirror of Erised… was his friend, wasn't it?"

Kakashi nodded quietly.

Asuma cleared his throat, trying to ease the tension.

"Alright, let's focus back on the item. These eye drops can heal the Mangekyō's blindness, right?"

Haruto nodded.

"That's correct. Even if you overuse the Mangekyō, this medicine can fully restore your sight."

Sasuke stared at the vial in Haruto's hand, realization setting in.

"So that's why this is the greatest treasure of the Uchiha clan… because it removes the one weakness of the Mangekyō."

Haruto grinned.

"Exactly."

Sasuke reached forward carefully, taking the eye drops with both hands.

He held it tightly, as if it was the key to his future revenge.

"If I'm going to defeat Itachi… I'll need this."

Haruto watched him, his smile fading slightly.

He could see the burning hatred in Sasuke's eyes.

(Sasuke, you still don't understand…)

Haruto sighed deeply.

He had seen this same cycle before—revenge, hatred, endless bloodshed.

"I hope you won't let hatred cloud your mind."****"

Sasuke looked up, confused.

"What do you mean?"

Haruto shook his head.

"You'll understand one day."

Before Sasuke could press further, Haruto changed the subject.

"Alright, let's move on to the next item!"

He reached into the remaining ball of light and pulled out…

A scroll with an intricate pattern of glowing symbols.

"Oh! Another scroll-type item!" Ino exclaimed excitedly.

Kiba leaned forward, his interest piqued.

"What kind of technique is it?"

Haruto smirked knowingly.

"This is an incredibly powerful eye technique… one that surpasses the Sharingan in certain ways."

Sasuke's eyes gleamed.

"More powerful… than the Sharingan?!"
