Chapter 15 Within the Dhampir Citadel

Chapter 15 Within the Dhampir Citadel

"Hello? Maya? Maya! Are you alright?" Elara's worried voice crackled through the communicator, laced with desperation.

Back on the Dhampir planet, Draycen stood beside the unconscious Maya, his gaze fixated on her. Reaching into her pocket, he pulled out a small doll, inspecting it with a twisted smile. "Your sister is in danger here, Elara," he said coldly, his voice reverberating through the communicator. "You'd better hurry."

Elara's heart sank. "What? No! I shouldn't have sent her to that cursed planet!" she shouted, panic rising in her chest.

Frantically scanning her surroundings aboard the spaceship, Elara felt the crushing weight of guilt. Before she could make a move, the ship jolted slightly, signaling its re-entry into Earth's atmosphere. Her anxiety deepened as Earth's vast expanse came into view.

Waiting for her on the landing platform was Thalaya, her mother, radiating calm and composure. But as Elara disembarked, pale and full of despair, Thalaya immediately knew something was wrong.

"What's happened, Elara?" Thalaya asked sharply, her telekinetic abilities already reaching out to stabilize the spaceship.

Elara grabbed her mother's arm. "We need to go back—turn this ship around! Maya is in danger!"

Without hesitation, Thalaya nodded. "Hold on tight. I'll take care of this." With a flick of her wrist, she propelled the ship back toward the Dhampir planet using her telekinesis.

A nearby scientist, startled by the sudden maneuver, protested, "Madam, we were supposed to return to Earth!"

Elara turned to the group of scientists, her voice shaking but determined. "Please, help me save my sister. I can't do this alone."

Though hesitant, the scientists exchanged glances. "We're with you," one of them said, stepping forward.

Despite the heavy ship, Thalaya's immense telekinetic power sent them hurtling through space at incredible speed. Within four hours, the Dhampir planet loomed ahead. The journey, while quick, left everyone aboard disoriented, their heads spinning as if they had teleported instead of traveled.

One scientist groaned, clutching their head. "How much energy does your mother have?"

Elara grimaced. "I don't know, but I'm starting to feel the effects of her power too."

Thalaya, however, seemed unaffected. She turned to the group, her expression calm but resolute. "We've arrived," she announced.

The scientists stumbled out of the ship, some rushing to the nearest corner to recover from their dizziness. Meanwhile, Thalaya raised a silvery flag bearing a hero's emblem, waving it high.

A booming voice echoed from the city's entrance. "State your identity."

With practiced ease, Thalaya waved the flag again. The voice softened. "You may proceed."

As they stepped into the city, Thalaya handed Elara and the scientists bracelets to blend in. The group marveled at the towering structures and intricate designs, blending ancient Dhampir heritage with futuristic technology.

"Focus!" Elara snapped, her voice cutting through their awe. "We're here to save Maya."

Thalaya approached a young Dhampir walking casually by, but before she could speak, a tall, imposing figure intercepted them. "Lady Elara," the Dhampir said in a calm, commanding tone. "My name is Erira. Mister Draycen is expecting you."

Elara nodded warily. "Thank you for your hospitality."

Without another word, Erira led Elara, Thalaya, and a few others into a glass lift. The scientists, distracted by the mesmerizing views, wandered off to other floors, leaving the trio alone with Erira.

The lift ascended swiftly to the 150th floor, where they were greeted by the chilling sight of Draycen standing beside a capsule. Inside, Maya lay unconscious, her face pale but serene.

"Maya!" Elara cried out, rushing toward her.

Before she could reach her sister, Erira moved with lightning speed, plunging a syringe into Elara's neck. The attack was so swift that even Thalaya's telekinesis couldn't intervene in time.

"Elara!" Thalaya shouted, her voice breaking as her daughter's body slumped.

Elara, barely clinging to consciousness, tried to summon her telekinesis, but Draycen's yellow aura flared to life, deflecting her power effortlessly. With a mocking laugh, he leaned over Elara as her eyes fluttered shut.

"One more Arcanian," Draycen sneered. "Your energy will be invaluable."

He motioned to Erira, who prepared another syringe, this time aimed at Thalaya. But Thalaya was ready, deflecting it with a forceful wave of telekinesis.

Draycen stepped forward, his yellow aura shimmering ominously. With a mere touch to Thalaya's hand, her defenses crumbled, and her eyes rolled back as she fell unconscious.

Draycen's laughter echoed through the chamber. "Three Arcanians, all in one place. Their power is mine now!"
