5. Alex

He remembered the first time he saw her. It was at that party. And in all of these months he has known how she is.

She always tries to act rude but in her heart, she was the kindest person he has known. She would yell at someone without realizing it. She would hurt someone without intention and then she would do anything to even it with something good.

He had known her for six months now.

He remembers that day clearly. The day when Prime ordered him to keep an eye on David Harrison's daughter. He thought she would be a spoiled brat of a rich dad but she wasn't. She was generous. She was lively. She cared about people around her very much and she had a really sick attitude.

Spying on her was the very first task given to him after he became the leader of Wolves. Alex knew that he had to ace it and prove the choice of the Prime right. Alex was confident that he could accomplish it very easily but little did he know, he would lose his senses in the end.

Alex put on his gloves. Sliding the helmet over his head, he fastened the strap under his chin. The click of the helmet's buckle signaled he was ready to ride.

The ignition key turned. The vibrations traveled up his arms, a pulse of adrenaline in sync with the machine beneath him. He gave the throttle a gentle twist, the engine growled in response.

For Alex, biking was one of the few things that made his blood rush with excitement.

It was a craze and an obsession. Something that keeps his soul alive.

He leaned forward. As he kicked the bike to life, it went tearing the air apart. The darkness and dampness were making his heart race with the speed. The rain was light and the moon was dim, looking like just a curve in the starry sky. He gave the throttle a thundering twist and the voice reverberated through the air.

The ride was long, every moment was eating to last for the entirety. He would let the hours fall on the clock without taking the time in consideration and ride for as long as his heart found the everlasting peace. But soon the destination was there and the time was up.

Alex parked his bike and he was standing in front of the bar where his prey was.

He has planned it deeply for weeks. A prominent point to keep in mind was that he was not going to get involved with her in any way. He would not even let her know that he was watching because if he doomed it, it would be a disaster.

The club and his position meant so much to her then anything. So, he swore to stay away and just stalk.

After passing the security with no trouble, he put the mask on and covered his head with a hood. It wasn't like she would notice him but being safe was his priority.

Alex walked swiftly in between people as he searched for her.

He had seen a picture and he won't lie, she looked beautiful in that picture but when Alex looked at her for the first time in real life, he knew it was all fake.

Ella Harrison wasn't beautiful. He was speechless because no words could describe how she looked. Her hair has the deepest and most beautiful color of blue. Like the ocean on a dark night. Her eyes were so blue and so big. She was small. She wasn't too short or too tall. He didn't even know that a slight smile had the authority to just melt his heart away. She was someone whose beauty could not be described by a mere word.

And that was when he knew, this mission could not be as easy as he thought it to be.

Alex took a seat at the bar slab as the bartender handed him a drink. He didn't drink, he was only staring at her, dancing with her friends as if the world didn't exist around her. Her pupils were dilated, and her body was waving in an unpredictable manner, she was drunk. Alex put the drink back at the counter because he knew he would be driving her home tonight.

For the entire time, he kept his eyes on her. He was watching her from that distance. She was smiling and her smile made his heart race, it was extremely unusual. She looked happy and Alex needed to keep his mind straight if he wanted to complete his task.

He jerked his head hard and came to the right mind. He was distracted for some moments.

Alex needed to stay as close to her as possible without making her suspicious. According to his plan, he had to get access to her phone so he could install the malware. He waited there, watching her and constantly behaving that she was having no effect on him.

Moments later, as the party was over everyone was gone and when he saw her leaving, he followed.

Ella wasn't in her scenes. She was stumbling on her steps. She was yanking her brain again and again but it was doing no good to her.

Alex wondered where her friends had gone. It was natural to not leave a friend alone in this condition. Maybe he was thinking too much because if it works in his favor then why would he even care.

He strode towards her as she walked to her car. There was no one in the parking lot; Alex took help from Jake and Luke for this favor. These were only two people he could trust with it.

Alex was standing close to her now. So close that a minor step would leave her in his arms. She noticed his presence. When Ella turned around, she went motionless. For a slight moment, he thought his observation was wrong and she was not drunk. "Who are you?" She asked in a playful voice and he breathed in relief that the drug he sent worked.

"Let me drive you home," he said in a deep voice. Ella walked a step closer, and Alex's hold on the keys tightened "I can'et you droive me hoome" she said with a cute smile and Alex failed to hold the urge to smile in reply "And why is that?"

"Becoz I can'see your face. Yo- coube a gangster" Alex nodded to the right accusation, leaned closer to her ear, and whispered

"I am a gangster, Princess" Ella moved her face towards him, and her lips were on his cheek. Alex abruptly moved back. He was more shocked by the way his heart reacted than the touch itself.

His beats were skipping

She threw a hand on her mouth and blinked really slowly "Aam I in trowble?" Alex did realize he was smiling more than he needed to.

In a flash, he adjusted his expression because Joe and Mark could be spying on him "No time for the talk. Let's go" After his words ended, he picked Ella up by her legs "Let gow off me!" She yelled, but he couldn't listen. He opened the door and put her in the front seat.

She was so stunned that she could not speak a word now. She didn't say anything even when he tightened the seatbelt. She was looking at him with fear in her eyes and he liked the terror.

Once she was in a safe spot, he went to the driver's seat and started the engine with the keys he just stole from her purse.

Ella was quiet, smiling, getting terrified after looking at him in the mirror.

Alex predicted right, Joe and Mark were watching them. Alex was watching them through the side mirror. Maybe Eagle made a deal with them or it could be Prime's dog or secretary, Dave. They followed them till a distance but then when there was nothing suspicious he did, they just disappeared.

As Alex saw them pulling back, he removed the mask and the hood that was not permitted to him.

Alex didn't really care as he worked.

With one hand he drove and with the other, he worked on the phone he just took out of her purse.

After a few moments, he was done connecting her phone to his and according to the plan, the task was done here.

He had to go and install cameras in her room because this was a good chance but Alex decided to delay it.

He didn't leave her in the middle of the road as he planned to do. The only explanation he wanted to think of was that if Ella died alone on the road, he would fail the mission.

So, he decided to really drive her home.

"Aare yo a bad gowy?" Ella looked comfortable now. Probably because he had done nothing to hurt her. Alex looked at her through the mirror and she shyly broke eye contact, he laughed "Yes, Princess. I am a really bad guy" She shrugged her shoulders, and shook her head in half sleep "But yo have nowt hurt meh. You aore not bad gawy" Alex laughed with a chuckle this time. Whatever it was, it felt strange in a good way. "Maybe, I might do it in the future" He was not lying and he was sure of it because If he needed to hurt her for the benefit of the club, he would.

"So– wee will meets in future?" She asked innocently and Alex realized he should stop talking because this situation was not normal. He was there just to spy on her not to let his heart thunder in his chest.

So, he didn't give her a reply and drove silently. She kept looking at her, asked some questions and when Alex didn't respond to them, she stopped talking. Even whole she was drunk, the attitude stayed.

Alex stopped the car at a distance from her home. He sent a message to her father from her phone, telling him where she was.

He left the car and just to double-check the safety, he walked to her door and checked if it was really locked; it wasn't necessary. When Alex turned around he heard a click. Ella opened the door and stepped out of the car "What izz yowr name?" Her voice was shivering and it wasn't because of alcohol but the weather. He moved to look at her and she was shaking from the cold "If you know my name then you would be in dead" his voice was raw but didn't affect her as she never stopped smiling "It'z okaay. My father wowld save meh" her words were firm with confidence and Alex just had to break the confidence and her father "Your father is the one I want to kill Princess" he smirked. Her smile was gone and she appeared afraid "Huh?" Alex wanted to walk away because David would be here any time but he could not leave her when she was shivering this badly.

Alex removed his jacket. He cursed at himself for wearing this jacket tonight. It was a crocodile leather jacket, precious to his heart and the single one to exist.

He put the jacket over her naked arms, she held it as if she needed it for long.

The moment he was done, he heard the voice of steps. Alex ran in the opposite direction "Where are you goin?" He ignored her and disappeared into nearby bushes.

That wasn't how Alex has always been. This wasn't how he worked on his task. He was careless and if he had stayed there for another moment, he would have failed the mission even before he started

"Dad! I am heree" Ella yelled as she waved her hand and after a moment he came into view. This was the first time Alex was seeing David Harrison in real life.

He burned at the sight of him. This was the person who had been working against Eclipse for two years. He has pieces of evidence against the club. Something that could destroy them very easily.

He was a big threat to them and the club ordered two of his most reliable members to work together and kill him.
