Chapter 9-Intruders

"Blue?" called Beta as GIGA successfully connected with the outermost headquarters of New-US.

"Beta. Did you see what I saw?" asked Blue as he pointed at the capture from the special goggles he had just put on to record the image.

"Wait a minute. I'm going to lock on to your signal and map your territory," replied Beta, who was quick to do just that.

Blue walked cautiously as he entered the forest. He found a torn piece of cloth that he believed to be human clothing. A pair of shoes that had been torn apart and almost turned into sheets.

Until his eyes caught a tube filled with green liquid, and at the end of it was a needle like an injection. Blue took the injection carefully.

"What do you want to show me, Blue? That area is not inhabited by humans. The world government agreed to make the area an animal sanctuary. The animals that live there have been tagged and monitored by the world's animal protection agencies," Beta says, his eyes fixed on the satellite imagery that captured Blue's presence.

"If that's the case. Ask the officer who oversees this place. Did a deer die around 1 o'clock?" replied Blue as he scanned the surroundings.

"Okay. Then?"

"Send a team. I'll mark my findings for the investigating team at headquarters to look into. I know that what I'm doing is outside the country's duties. However, my findings are still in New US territory. This is dangerous, Beta. Tell General Cosmo," Blue pleaded as he continued walking towards the deer carcass that had lost its head.

"I assure you the General will do as you ask, Blue. Just be careful," replied Beta, who then disconnected the call.

Blue left some signs for General Cosmo's envoy team to find. While Blue was still looking for other suspicious signs, GIGA informed him that the Oto-fly battery was fully charged. He, who had to rush to meet Carla, immediately left the location and flew back.

New-US outpost headquarters.

General Cosmo, who had gotten the information from Beta, stared at the tablet screen showing Blue's findings. The fierce-faced man gave orders to Blue's team to investigate. As Beta was about to leave the room, he was suddenly grabbed by the shoulders from behind. The man was stunned and stood still for an instant.

"I didn't see Red," Cosmo asked in a whisper.

"I don't know, General. I'm in charge of the control center," Beta replied honestly.

"Since you work at the control center, find out where the redhead went," he ordered as he gripped Beta's right shoulder even tighter.

"I—I understand," replied Beta nervously, who then walked at a brisk pace as the grip was released.

Four remote-controlled robots, centered at the New-US headquarters, left in a Helibot that took them flying. The caterpillar-like device attached to the robot's back like a backpack flew with the Wolfbots and Iron-Dams to the location where the carcass of a new type of Gorog was found.

The four members of Team Blue, who were rejected by the lieutenant when they wanted to join him, drove four investigator-type robots using a simulator. The four humans were in a special room monitored by officers. The four men are wearing special suits with pins that control the robot. Wearing goggles that are connected to the robot's eyes in the field, as well as all kinds of movements.

Furthermore, signals from the headquarters are sent to the Theresia satellite in space that is connected to the robots in the field. Some areas have signal boosters installed so that the robots' movements are controlled and monitored even though they have to travel around the world.

"Blue is extraordinary. He's on a personal mission, but he's guarding the territory he's traveling through for our safety," said one of the robot controllers in the simulator room, as his robot arrived at the point Blue had marked.

"He defeated Gorog by himself. Blue only had the silent blue sword, robot shoes, rainbow gas, canister grenades, Oto-Fly, and GIGA. Seeing what he's capable of, we don't need to worry about him," said one of the other controllers when he found Gorog's carcass in an abandoned car.

"We should be worried. Look!" said one of the controllers as his robot hand in the field showed the identification results from the recognition device on Gorog's carcass.

A barcode tattooed on one of the body parts became the identity of the humans in the new world. The foreheads of the four robot controllers furrowed when the system mentioned that the Gorog was a human named Nosa. A man who worked as an animal protection officer.

"Is... this on purpose? Who would do this?" A robot controller? asked suspiciously.

"Display the Camgun's monitoring results! Why wasn't it working when the Gorog appeared in the protected area? It should have done its job before the Gorog attacked the animals!" exclaimed General Cosmo, whose voice was suddenly heard inside the simulator room.

"We'll find out, General," replied an officer at the simulator's control center with a tense face.

Four robot controllers moved to the point where the Camgun was mounted. Camgun is a surveillance camera armed with an automatic firing gun. The Camgun system is able to detect threats from humans, Gorogs, or robots. However, the weapon that never failed to do its job suddenly seemed to malfunction.

"General! I found one Camgun here! Not far from where Gorog was found!" exclaimed one of the controllers whose robotic eyes had spotted a Camgun device mounted on one of the broken trees.

The general's brow furrowed as he watched the display on the large screen of the simulator control room of the findings of the four investigators. Wolfbot's eyes also picked up unnatural things around the area.

The general, who felt that the incident was deliberate, requested that Camgun's footage of the entire location be played an hour before Blue informed him of Gorog's attack.

"General!" called Beta, who was assisting in the investigation in the simulator room.

"He was deliberately turned into Gorog. It must be Moron's stealth drone. Look at the direction of the modifier serum's shot. It hit the animal protection officer right in the neck. He must have been targeted and deliberately altered when Blue crossed this area," said the general, making his audience's faces tense up instantly.

"However, we did not find the bullet containing the green serum, General," said one of the robot controllers named Sam.

"He took it," Beta said softly, which made General Cosmo look at him sharply.

"General! Blue is in danger! Allow us to help her!" cried one of the controllers named Zen.

"No! Dare you to follow Blue, I will expel you from this facility. I'll have you expelled from New-US!" The general shouted, causing Blue's friends to instantly shut up. "Bring all our findings for investigation. We will find out Moron's foul plans from this heinous act."

"Yes, General!" replied the four controllers, unable to refute the orders of the supreme leader of the place.

Gorog's carcass is brought in for investigation at a special facility in the country of New-US. Unbeknownst to General Cosmo and his men, a stealth drone, believed to be the cause of the animal protection officer's transformation into Gorog, was lurking. The flying object listened in on the conversation, where the enemy was actually watching.

"Cosmo's intuition is very strong. It's just that not everything he says is true. He-he-he," said a man in front of a large screen displaying the movements of a team of robotic investigators in the animal protection area. "Follow them. I wonder what other interesting things Cosmo will show me," he commanded as the stealth drone moved to follow Blue's team.
