The golden text hovered in front of my eyes, glowing ominously. Two options appeared before me—YES or NO.

The choice was obvious. After waiting for so long, I was finally going to awaken.

But something felt… off.

"Player?" The term lingered in my mind. I had never heard of an awakened being referred to as a Player before.

Normally, when someone awakened, a radiant golden light would envelop them. Once the process was complete, they could check their stats simply by saying: ⟪ Open Status. ⟫

But in my case, nothing happened. No golden aura. No familiar surge of power.
This was… different.

Before I could dwell on it further, another system notification flashed.

I'd really appreciate your support on this journey. Now, before diving into the story, let me clarify a few key points about the system in this world.

Awakeners vs. Hunters

In this world, when someone awakens for the first time, they are classified as Awakeners. This is a temporary status.

Awakeners can check their stats and skills by saying "Open Status," which makes a status window appear.This window is visible to those around them as well.Some people awaken with two or more skills—they are automatically classified as D-rank Awakeners. However, they are still just Awakeners at this stage.Skill & Hunter Rank System

Skills are ranked as follows: G, F, E, D, C, B, A, and S.

To participate in dungeon raids, an Awakener must obtain a Raid Card—this marks their official transition into a Hunter.

Before receiving a Raid Card, their skills undergo evaluation, which determines their final Hunter Rank.A Hunter's rank is typically one or two levels lower than their highest skill rank.

If a D-rank Awakener possesses a D-rank skill, their Hunter rank would be E or F.If they have an A-rank skill, their Hunter rank would be B or C.

So, don't get confused—Awakeners are just temporary, and once they receive their Raid Card, they are officially recognized as Hunters.

What Makes the Main Character Special?

Our Main Character isn't an Awakener—he is chosen as a Player instead.And trust me, you'll soon find out what makes him different from everyone else…
