CHAPTER 5

The Handsome CEO Fell in Love with Me

Chapter 5

...away. Before me lay a stunning garden, filled with the most beautiful flowers and trees I had ever seen. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming roses, and the sound of soft music drifted through the air.

I gasped in amazement, my eyes scanning the garden in wonder. Ethan smiled, his eyes sparkling with pleasure.

"I'm glad you like it," he said, taking my hand. "This is my favorite place in the world."

As we walked through the garden, I couldn't help but feel a sense of enchantment. The flowers were so beautiful, and the music was so soothing. I felt like I was in a dream.

Ethan led me to a small pond in the center of the garden. The water was crystal clear, and I could see fish swimming lazily just beneath the surface.

"This is where I come to think," Ethan said, his eyes gazing out across the water. "It's my sanctuary."

I nodded, feeling a sense of understanding. This garden was indeed a special place.

As we stood there, I realized that Ethan was holding my hand. It felt natural, like we had been holding hands forever.

I looked up at Ethan, and our eyes met. For a moment, we just stared at each other, the only sound being the gentle lapping of the water against the shore.

Then, without saying a word, Ethan leaned in and kissed me. It was a soft, gentle kiss, but it sent shivers down my spine.

As we pulled away, I smiled up at Ethan. "I've been wanting to do that all night," he said, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

I laughed, feeling happy and carefree. "I've been wanting you to," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

Ethan grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm glad we're on the same page," he said.

As we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, I knew that this was just the beginning of our love story.

As the night wore on, Ethan and I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and possibility. We had shared our first kiss, and it felt like the start of something special.

But as we walked back to the boat, hand in hand, I couldn't shake off the feeling that our happiness was short-lived. Ethan's family was notoriously wealthy and influential, and I knew that his parents would never approve of me.

I was just a simple girl from a humble background, and I knew that I didn't fit into Ethan's world. But as we sailed back across the lake, watching the stars twinkle above us, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope.

Maybe, just maybe, we could make this work.

As we approached the shore, I saw a figure waiting for us in the distance. It was Ethan's mother, her face stern and disapproving.

"Ethan, we need to talk," she said, her voice icy.

Ethan's grip on my hand tightened, and I knew that this was it. This was the moment when our happiness would be tested.

"What's going on, Mother?" Ethan asked, his voice calm.

"It's about your relationship with...her," his mother said, her eyes flashing with disdain. "It's unacceptable, Ethan. She's not suitable for you."

I felt a surge of anger, but Ethan just smiled and pulled me closer.

"I think she's perfect for me, Mother," he said, his voice firm.

His mother's face turned red with rage, and I knew that this was just the beginning of our struggles.
