After writing the Manuscripts or Half the Manuscripts of both work's, as after that was done, he was busy helping Carmilla get over her stuttering problem again.
Subaru sat across from Carmilla, watching as she fidgeted with her fingers. "Alright, Carmilla, let's go over this again. Take a deep breath, and say the sentence clearly."
Carmilla took a shaky breath. "S-Subaru... I w-want t-to h-help y-you."
Subaru sighed, offering her an encouraging smile. "You're improving, but you're still hesitating. Try to slow down and focus on each word."
Minerva crossed her arms, watching from the side. "You know, Subaru, at this rate, you're basically her speech therapist."
Subaru shrugged. "Well, considering she helped me out before, it's only fair I return the favor."
Carmilla blushed slightly but nodded, trying again. "Subaru... I want to help you."
Subaru clapped his hands. "See? Much better! Keep practicing, and soon enough, you won't even need to think about it."
Carmilla smiled softly. "T-thank you."
Sekhmet yawned. "You really are way too nice to everyone, huh?"
Subaru smirked. "Well, someone has to be."
Echinda then spoke Looking at him. "I never thought I will see the day someone is actually helping us from his own kindness and not for any other reasons".
Subaru looked as he spoke. "Again, as Typhon onces asked 'But You Do Love Us Right Big Brother' and my answer was 'Yes', will I never gonna take does word's, especially sense non of you are ever going to drop the whole Future Witch King Things".
The Witches exchanged glances, some smirking, others sighing in amusement.
Typhon grinned as she hopped onto Subaru's lap. "See? I was right all along! You do love us!"
Subaru rolled his eyes, ruffling her hair. "Yeah, yeah. But that doesn't mean I'm taking the title of 'Witch King' anytime soon."
Pandora smirked. "Oh? But wouldn't it be fitting for you, considering how much influence you already have over us?"
Sekhmet yawned. "He already acts like our leader, might as well make it official."
Minerva folded her arms. "Well, not like it matters. Whether he takes the title or not, Subaru is Subaru."
Carmilla nodded shyly. "Y-you... are g-good t-to us..."
Subaru sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I swear, one of these days, you guys are going to force that title onto me whether I like it or not."
Echidna chuckled. "Oh, we definitely are. But for now, let's just focus on finishing those manuscripts."
Subaru groaned but picked up his pen again. "Fine, fine... But if I ever hear someone call me 'Witch King Subaru' in public, I'm blaming all of you."
After a while Subaru looked at Carmilla as he looked at him. "So go ahead say it".
Carmilla took a deep breath as she continued. "Thank you for helping me l-love to get over my S-Sutter".
Subaru smiled warmly, nodding at her. "See? You're getting better already. Just take it slow, no need to rush."
Carmilla blushed, fidgeting with her fingers. "B-but... I still mess up sometimes..."
Minerva crossed her arms and huffed. "So what? Progress is progress! You're doing great, Carmilla!"
Typhon grinned. "Yeah! And Big Bro Subaru's got patience for days! So don't worry about messing up."
Carmilla hesitated for a moment before giving Subaru a small but genuine smile. "T-thank you... Subaru."
Subaru gave her a thumbs-up. "That's the spirit!"
Echidna smirked. "At this rate, you might just cure all of our bad habits, Subaru."
Subaru chuckled. "Yeah, well, that would be a miracle even for me."
Pandora leaned in teasingly. "And yet, you're doing it without realizing it."
Subaru sighed dramatically. "At this point, I might as well open a 'Witch Therapy' session."
Sekhmet yawned. "If it means getting massages, count me in."
The group laughed, and for a moment, it felt like just another chaotic yet heartwarming day with the Witches.
Subaru looked at them as he spoke. "Depends do you want your bad habit's to be fixed"
Minerva looked as she spoke. "My power's are depended on my punch so no".
Sekhmet yawned as she spoke. "Beginning Lazy I just who I am".
Daphne looked as she spoke. Ah no, I am ok with it".
Echidna then spoke looking at him. "You can't stop hunger for knowledge".
Pandora lookee as ege spoke with a smirk. "You can fix me, but never make be in the good mortality spectrum, of anything more of gray are for him"
Satella looked as she spoke. "I am perfectly fine".
Typhon then spoke looking. "My bad habit's has already been fixed big brother by the help of Sekhmet, I now properly judge people".
Subaru sighed as he spoke. "Carmilla wanted too changes her bad habut that is why I am helping, I won't force change sense non of you want to change your bad habits".
Echidna smirked as she crossed her arms. "And that's exactly why we don't mind being around you, Subaru. You never force anything on us."
Subaru sighed dramatically. "Yeah, yeah. Just don't complain later when your bad habits come back to bite you."
Minerva scoffed, cracking her knuckles. "I'll punch my way through any problem!"
Sekhmet lazily waved a hand. "And I'll sleep through mine."
Daphne giggled. "If it means more food, then I don't mind."
Pandora smirked. "Morality is overrated anyway."
Satella gave Subaru a warm smile. "You're kind, Subaru. Even if we don't change, we appreciate that you care."
Carmilla fidgeted slightly before nodding. "A-and I'm grateful... You d-didn't have to help me, but you did."
Subaru rubbed the back of his head. "Well, it just didn't feel right seeing you struggle. But as long as you're happy with the progress, that's enough for me."
Typhon beamed. "That's why we love you, Big Bro!"
Subaru groaned. "And there it is again—the Future Witch King nonsense."
Echidna chuckled. "Oh, don't worry. It's already set in stone."
Subaru sighed, already regretting this conversation. "I need a break."
Next day in Alchemy lap, as Al and Subaru looked at ingredients for the salvation as Subaru sigehd. "Why were these so hard too find and so expensive".
Al crossed his arms and let out a tired sigh. "Probably because we're dealing with something that isn't supposed to be easily accessible. Salvation Pathway potions aren't exactly made for commoners, Bro."
Subaru rubbed his temples in frustration. "Yeah, yeah, but seriously—why is a single 'Tear of a Pure Soul' this expensive? Who even sells that?"
Al shrugged. "Black market, high priests, crazy cultists—take your pick."
Subaru groaned. "Ugh, the things I do for power… This better be worth it."
Al chuckled. "You could always back out, you know. Stick to just the Fool Pathway."
Subaru rolled his eyes. "Nah, I already committed to this. If I back out now, I'll never hear the end of it from Pandora."
Al smirked. "Oh yeah, she'd definitely rub it in your face."
Subaru shook his head and started preparing the potion. "Alright, let's do this. Just… stand back in case it explodes."
Al immediately took a step back. "Way ahead of you, Bro."
Subaru sighed as he spoke. "I am sor lucky I am rich because of my books, or else we would have had too ask Emilia and Priscilla, and then them looking us with a questing face for why are we asking for so much gold coins".
Al laughed. "Yeah, I can already picture it. 'Subaru, why do you need a hundred gold coins and a rare sacred artifact?' And then you'd have to come up with some crazy excuse."
Subaru groaned. "Emilia would probably just tilt her head and be confused, but Priscilla? She'd call me an insolent fool and demand I explain every single detail."
Al smirked. "And then she'd either fund it out of curiosity or refuse just to mess with you."
Subaru shuddered. "Yeah, let's not go down that road. Good thing my books are making me stupidly rich. Who knew that 'Naruto' and 'Shadow Slave' would sell this well in another world?"
Al shrugged. "People love a good story, Bro. Even in a medieval fantasy world."
Subaru sighed as he carefully measured the ingredients. "Alright, let's get back to work. The sooner we finish this, the sooner I can stop worrying about blowing myself up."
Al nodded. "Just don't mix the wrong stuff again. I don't want to experience Return By Death secondhand."
Subaru rolled his eyes. "Yeah, yeah, I got it. No more mixing Fool and Salvation pathways. I'd rather not get another fist of love from Minerva."
[Minerva's voice echoed in his head. "Damn right you won't, idiot!"]
Subaru flinched instinctively before shaking his head and focusing back on the potion. He carefully ground the rare herbs into a fine powder while Al adjusted the heat of the alchemy burner.
Al watched as Subaru slowly added the powdered herbs to the bubbling liquid. "So, what exactly does this potion do?"
Subaru sighed. "It's supposed to stabilize someone walking the Salvation Pathway. Helps the mind adjust to the changes, reduces side effects, and prevents… well… insanity."
Al raised an eyebrow. "So basically, it stops people from turning into lunatics?"
Subaru nodded. "Yeah, something like that. The Salvation Pathway isn't as unpredictable as the Fool's, but it's still dangerous. The potion ensures whoever drinks it can handle the influx of knowledge and power."
Al leaned against the table. "And who exactly are you planning to give this to?"
Subaru smirked. "Someone I can trust."
Al snorted. "Cryptic as ever, Bro. Just don't forget that if this backfires, I'm blaming you."
Subaru rolled his eyes. "Noted. Now shut up and help me stir this thing before it explodes."
As they worked, the potion began to glow with a faint golden hue, signaling its completion. Subaru carefully bottled the mixture and let out a deep breath of relief.
"Alright. One down, one to go."
Al then looked at as he spoke. "Now we can get to making the actual potion of Salvation Potion, let's start the sequence 9 mixer".
Subaru nodded as he adjusted the alchemy setup. "Yeah, let's start with the basic Sequence 9 mixer. At least this one isn't as volatile as the Fool Pathway potion."
Al smirked. "Still, better not mess up. I don't wanna be known as 'the guy who got blown up in an alchemy accident'."
Subaru rolled his eyes. "Relax. I actually read the process thoroughly this time."
He carefully poured a thick, translucent liquid into a crystal vial, then added a few drops of a glowing blue extract. The mixture swirled, reacting to the components as the liquid inside began to shift between colors.
Al watched closely. "So, how does the Salvation Pathway actually work? Unlike the Fool's chaos, it seems… cleaner?"
Subaru hummed. "Yeah, it's a lot more stable. The Salvation Pathway focuses on purification, resilience, and understanding. The higher your Sequence, the more you can 'save' others, but it also forces you to bear the weight of those you help."
Al raised an eyebrow. "Sounds kinda poetic. But knowing this world, I bet there's a catch."
Subaru chuckled. "Of course there is. The burden of salvation isn't light. If you take on too much, you lose yourself. You start thinking like an all-knowing saint, believing your path is the only right one."
Al sighed. "Yeah, that sounds about right. Power always has a price."
Subaru nodded as he added the final ingredient, a rare silver crystal, into the potion. The mixture settled into a shimmering golden liquid. "And that's why I have to be careful about who gets this. Salvation isn't for everyone."
Al crossed his arms. "So, who's your lucky test subject?"
Subaru smirked. "Still figuring that out. But for now, let's store this before something goes wrong."
He carefully sealed the potion in a reinforced glass bottle, placing it into his Sin System inventory. With both potions successfully made, he let out a relieved sigh.
"Alright, that's both done. No explosions, no disasters… I think we actually did good."
Al grinned. "For once, yeah. Now let's get out of here before someone asks why we were messing with high-level alchemy."
Subaru chuckled, shaking his head. "Yeah, let's go before Emilia or Priscilla start questioning where all my money went."
Al looked at as he spoke. "So which one of the Witch's in your head Follow the Salvation Pathways".
Subaru looked as he spoke. "That is Minerva".
Al raised an eyebrow. "Minerva, huh? Makes sense. She's all about healing and stopping violence, so I guess the Salvation Pathway fits her perfectly."
Subaru nodded. "Yeah, but don't let that fool you. Just because she follows the Salvation Pathway doesn't mean she's all sunshine and rainbows. She's got a temper, and if she thinks you're hurting yourself or others unnecessarily, she'll 'heal' you by punching your injuries shut."
[Minerva spoke in his head. "And I will do it again, Subaru."]
Subaru sighed. "Yeah, yeah, I get it. No reckless experiments."
Al smirked. "So, does that mean if you take the Salvation Pathway, you'll end up like her? Yelling at people while saving them?"
Subaru scratched his head. "Honestly, I don't know. The Pathways aren't just about powers; they shape your mentality too. That's why I have to be really careful before committing to one."
Al leaned against the table. "And what about Satella? Which Pathway does she align with?"
Subaru hesitated before answering. "None of them. Satella isn't a Fool or a Savior—she's something beyond the system."
Al blinked. "That's… ominous."
Subaru shrugged. "Yeah, tell me about it. Anyway, enough deep talk. We've got two potions, and now we need to decide what to do with them."
Al stretched. "You already know who's getting Salvation, don't you?"
Subaru smirked. "I have a few candidates in mind. But let's see how things play out first."
[Satella whispered in his head. "No matter what you choose, I will always support you."]
Subaru sighed, rubbing his temples. "Great, more pressure."
