WELCOME TO THE CELESTIAL VOW PACK

The moment we stepped into the pack, I observed the way the people moved from plairo place,Some of the stopped their walking to turn and stare at us. Soon they started whispering things to their selves which started spreading like wildfire in harmattan season, In front of us I could see a group of children playing their souls away, they looked so happy and lively, they were close to a wooden fountain, they were all laughing loudly and they screams and joy filled the air.

One of the little girls with them, a young cub with unruly curls, gasped immediately she had set her eyes on me. The way her eyes dilated when she saw me sent a shock in my skull, it was as if she knew me before now.

"Is she our Luna"? She asked, with her eyes filled with wonder.

As if that was not enough, a boy approached us and also said, "she smells like the Alpha", with his nose scrunching beside me,"but she smells different too".

Sabastian who was standing beside me laughed and chuckled, the sound deep and knowing, "go on back to play pups", he said with his face laced with amusement.

"Your Luna needs to eat and rest"

The children who were playing together hesitated before running off to continue their game,their excitement was evident. I didn't have enough of time to process their words or smiles before a sharp feminine voice cut through the air.

"So, this is her?"

A woman who's face was visibly angry stepped forward,her hair was long and blonde as she moved forward and it matched her eyes which was yellowish brown in color, she was obviously an attractive one.

She was tall, like 5'11,lean and emmitted an an aura that exudes authority, but her yellowish brown eyes held nothing but disdain and disgust as they swept over me.

I didn't need to be told who she was indeed, my presence made her madly jealous making it obvious she had a relationship with Sabastian either in the past or currently.

"Sabastian who is she"?

I asked while staring at Sabastian who stood by me straight to his eyes.

"She's my ex", he said almost immediately, like he knew all these would happen." I wonder how many more women you keep around", I murmured.

Her full lips formed into a wide smirk," I expected someone stronger", she said,

"Cut the bullshit Evelyn", Sabastian commanded. I clenched my fist, summoning the last energy I have and stepped between them, " and I expected someone less desperate", I shot back at her.

A few of the soldiers nearby stifled their chuckles, and I saw Tobias who was the Beta let out a grin. Beside him was the Gamma of the pack who was Kieran, spreading out his lips and letting out an approval hum.

Sabastian, however, stood there and said nothing. His Golden eyes flickered between I and Evelyn, his gaze unreadable.

Before the heated tension could escalate,

Someone called out,"Alpha!"

A young warrior who looked like he was barely eighteen, ran up towards us with a serious face. "She's wounded".

I frowned, looking up to the young star,

" Who"

"You", he said softly, gesturing to my side rib.

With my reflex, I glanced down to check if it was true and sure enough it was, my bloody had soaked up through my torn shirt, that was one of my favorite shirt,damn.

I did not even notice the inflicting pain until now the boy pointed it out.

Sabastian cursed under his hot breath.

"Someone get the healer fast",

"No need ", another voice chipped in

An elderly woman stepped forward,her round belly suggesting she has been pregnant for some months now, but despite her fragile condition, she moved with ease and freedom, her soft brown eyes filled with kindness and sympathy, I always craved this kind of motherly love ever since mom left, now with her beside me, I began seeing the light at the end of the tunnel once more.

"Come,child", she said gently. "Let's get you all cleaned up",there was something motherly about how she spoke that made me feel safe for a long time now.

I hesitated for a while, but Sabastian gave me a slight nod. "Go with She's one of our best".

I glanced at the woman for the second time, then at the thought of my blood stains and likely infections that needed to be treated, I swallowed my pride and humbly followed her.

As the pregnant healer guided me towards a nearby lodge, I felt Sabastian's heavy gaze linger on me,a sudden chill crept down my spine. I instantly picked up whispers of voices I could quite point out, as we walked further, the whispers around me grew louder,

My heart began to pound heavily, I heard a single sentence that throwed me off balance.

"She does not belong here",

I turned sharply,my breathing became a difficulty,the speaker was hidden among the crowd, their face faint and difficult to point out. But the weight of their words settled deep in my bones.

And then as I was about to turn around and ask who said it,the wind carried another negative murmur, one that sent a shiver down my spine.

"She'll ruin us all".

I whipped around, scanning the faces in the pack members, but no one met my gaze. Whoever said it didn't have the audacity to but could not save it for later. I was not sure what terrified more, the fact that somebody I did not know already hated me or the fact that I could feel no attraction for Sabastian.

The fact that I had indeed felt nothing for him

No warmth.

No desire.

Nothing at all.

And I hated that repulsive feeling I had for him, even though I couldn't control it. It felt dangerous than anything else, because the mate bond was undeniable. It was fate. The pull between two destined souls was supposed to be irresistible, an emotion stronger than reason, stronger than will.

It should have made my heart race,my body and soul crave his presence. My soul surrender to him without choice or hope but total submission. But it wasn't so, I felt empty around him, just like I feel around everyone else.
