I will kill him

Reyan was deep in thought, carefully analyzing the situation.

"Hmm… last time, my plan failed because he brought something unexpected. This time, I need a better strategy."

He pulled out his phone from his pocket.

"It's 11:14 PM right now… and he arrives after 11:30 PM. That means I have more than 15 minutes."

He glanced around his room, assessing his options.

"Can I come up with a better plan? Of course, I can! I still have 15 minutes. That's more than enough time to craft a solid strategy… Alright then."

But suddenly, he yelled in frustration:

"I don't want to make a plan! That bastard ruins my stretegies every single time. This time, I'll just train instead."

He did some cardio, followed by a bit of boxing... Throwing punches. After a short break, he muttered to himself—

After a brief pause, a new thought crossed his mind.

"Maybe I need a long weapon… but I don't have one."

With that, he rushed to the kitchen and grabbed a broom.

"Yes! This will work for long-range."

He swung it around a few times, testing its weight.

"But the damage will be too low… what if… I attach a knife to the end? Yes! Then it'll work for long-range, and for short-range, I'll use forks."

He pondered for a moment.

"But how do I attach the knife tightly so it doesn't move?"

He quickly tore a strip from his blanket and used it to bind the knife securely to the broomstick.

"Okay! I'm ready again! I feel like a warrior now—wait, what am I even saying? Alright, let's take position."

Reyan took a stance directly in front of the door, ready to attack the moment Faceless entered. His entire focus was locked in.

"But… what if that bastard brings a bazooka this time??"

He shook his head.

"No, stay positive, Reyan."

But Faceless still hadn't arrived.

Then suddenly, a noise came from the bathroom.

"Huh? The bathroom? Did he… spawn inside the bathroom?"

Reyan cautiously moved toward the bathroom door.

"What is he bringing this time?"

He crept closer, his grip tightening around his makeshift weapon. But before he could react, something sharp tore through the bathroom door—impaling him straight through the chest.

Pain surged through Reyan's body, but he was too weak to even scream.

"No way… what is this… a glaive?"

The weapon that had struck him was a glaive—an advanced version of the weapon Reyan had just crafted.

"I… never even considered this…"

Faceless pulled the glaive out of Reyan's chest and stepped out of the bathroom. Reyan, gasping in pain, pressed his left hand against the wound, trying to stop the bleeding.

"That bastard… he's way too… clever…"

Faceless took a step forward, but before he could attack again, Reyan swung his weapon at him. The strike wasn't powerful enough to pierce through, but it did cause some damage.

And that alone was enough for Reyan to smile.

Faceless, however, simply adjusted his grip on the glaive and—without hesitation—sliced clean through Reyan's neck.

RE-SET.

Reyan opened his eyes, slightly smiling.

"Ohh… that was a good one."

He took a deep breath.

"I didn't expect him to bring a glaive, but… wait a minute!"

His expression turned serious as he placed a hand on his chin, deep in thought.

"Did he… spawn directly inside the bathroom? That means… he can spawn anywhere? No, that can't be possible!"

Determined, he marched towards the bathroom, scanning every corner for clues. That's when he noticed something—the bathroom window.

"Oh… the window."

He checked it. It was open, with no lock.

"Wait, I remember! In that one round where he used Molotov cocktails to burn my entire room, he locked the main door… but I escaped through the bathroom window. The window was open back then too… which means he must have entered through here both times."

Reyan thought for a moment.

"But why didn't I hear anything before? Maybe… he was careful back then. And since the glaive is bigger than his previous weapons, it must have hit the wall and made noise this time."

His gaze hardened.

"I'll lock it this time. Now he'll have to enter through the main door. There won't be any other way."

"This time… this will be final. This time… I'll kill him."

Reyan's expression grew serious as he stared at the main door.

"Yeah!!! This is it. This will be the final fight... But what if... what if he shows up with another unexpected weapon this time?... Oh wait... But before that... which turn's loop is this for me? Let me count"

Before anything else, he started counting...

"One, two, three, four, five, seven, eight, nine... Ahh I don't remember... Oh uh, if I estimate correctly, this should be my 19th or 20th loop. I don't remember exactly, but... he's never brought a gun before. Could it be... that this time, he'll bring one?"

A nervous thought crept into his mind.

"How many loops do I have left...? I feel like I only have two, maybe three more... Can I defeat him within these loops? I haven't even landed a serious hit on him yet! At first, he was weak, but he's getting stronger with every loop. At this rate, by the final loop, he'll be so powerful he won't even need a weapon to take me down..."

He smirked a little, "Does that even matter? I just need to focus on winning."

Reyan clenched his fists.

"No... I'm evolving too. I've been getting stronger with each loop as well. If it comes down to it, I'll fight him barehanded!"

He suddenly slapped himself across the face.

"Stupid! This isn't the time to be overthinking. He'll be here any minute now... Focus, Reyan! You have to prepare!"

Taking a deep breath, he muttered to himself, "So... what weapon will you bring this time, Mr. Faceless Monster?"

"Whatever it is... this time, I'm not backing down. I'll fight you on equal footing."

Reyan turned on the shower, filling up a bucket with water. Splashing some onto his face, he stood firm, hands on his waist.

"I am ready again... to hunt you."
