A Lion and The Wolf

"What did you come here for?" I asked when John was in the room, and I asked Jayme to leave us. He wanted to talk, he said. So, I gave him a chance, but not if it was to hurt me again.

"I thought you went home," he replied, not answering my question. "What were you doing with that guy? Did you guys sleep together during my absence? Did he stay at your apartment?"

I snorted at his question, which seemed to have no reflection on how he was with Hell.

"I'm not that low of a woman. Even though I'm just a tool and a satisfier of your lust, I realize that I'm married. Oh, I forgot that even this marriage is fake, but I didn't sleep with him."

"Are you sure?"

I didn't want to respond anymore. He was actually deliberately throwing attacks at me out of shame for his own unfaithful behavior. I wanted to say, "I'm not like you and Hell," but I couldn't because I didn't like to repay others with evil.
