"The Control Room Raid"

Riven, Seren, and Lirian moved carefully through the underground facility, their footsteps light on the metallic floor. The air smelled of old circuits and stale electricity, and the hum of unseen machinery vibrated faintly beneath them.

Seren kept glancing at her tablet. "The control room should be just ahead," she whispered.

Riven nodded, his fingers tightening around his dagger. They hadn't encountered resistance yet, but that only made him more cautious. A facility this secretive wasn't left unguarded.

As they neared the control room, a red glow flickered from a doorway. Seren quickly scanned the entrance. "Security override detected. Someone's already in there."

Lirian raised an eyebrow. "Great. So we're crashing someone else's party?"

Riven gestured for silence. He pressed himself against the wall and peered inside.

Inside the room, two men in tactical gear stood by a console, their weapons slung over their shoulders. Their focus was on the screens in front of them, filled with encrypted data.

Riven recognized the insignia on their sleeves—Torsen's men.

He exchanged a glance with Lirian. No need for words. They moved in.

Riven struck first, sweeping forward like a shadow. His dagger sliced through the air, cutting across the first man's arm before he could react. The guard let out a pained grunt, staggering back.

Lirian went for the second, throwing a brutal punch to his jaw. The man crumpled before he could reach for his gun.

The first guard tried to raise his weapon, but Riven was faster. He knocked it aside and slammed the hilt of his dagger into the man's temple. The guard collapsed, unconscious.

Seren was already at the console. "I need a few minutes to extract the data."

Riven nodded and dragged the bodies to the corner, making sure they wouldn't wake up anytime soon.

Lirian cracked his knuckles. "I was expecting more of a fight."

Riven didn't answer. Something still felt off.

Seren's fingers moved quickly over the keyboard. "I'm accessing facility logs… Hold on, there's something strange here."

The screen flashed with distorted text before stabilizing. Seren's eyes widened. "They're moving shipments of high-tier weaponry. And… there's an entire section marked as 'classified transport' scheduled for tonight."

"Transport to where?" Riven asked.

Seren's face darkened. "An offshore facility. Coordinates are encrypted, but I can break them with time."

Riven exhaled. "So Torsen isn't just dealing weapons. He's moving something bigger."

Lirian leaned against the console. "So what's the plan? We crash their transport?"

Before Riven could answer, the facility's alarm system blared.

"Intrusion detected," a mechanical voice echoed. "Lockdown initiated."

Seren cursed. "They know we're here!"

Riven grabbed her wrist. "Move!"

They sprinted out of the control room as red emergency lights bathed the corridors in an ominous glow.

The hunt had begun.
