After a very long silence accompanied by funny expressions of the two people who heard those words...
"She did not just say that." Frank choked.
"Yes, she did." Even Jazmine Harrison's voice sounded funny.
"Remind me never to offend her in this lifetime"
"You just called her a shameless glutton."
Frank shuddered, closed his legs, and slipped away from Amelia.
Jazmine Harrison shook her head. "But Amelia, there is a problem. You don't have a pig."
"Doesn't matter! I would feed it to my dog."
"Don't tell me you would feed 'that' to little fluffy! Do you want to traumatize him?" Frank made a weird face. He really liked little fluffy...
"Shut up! Or I will feed it yours too." Amelia glared at Frank.
That threat was enough to scare him into silence. His love for little fluffy was not more than his love for himself.
"But you told me your dog is very picky. What if it doesn't like the taste?"
"Jazmine! Stop dodging my question! Did he mistreat you in any way?"
"I am not dodging the question. I am just putting forth a reasonable problem-"
"I would add some sausages to make it to its taste." Amelia was getting frustrated. She just wanted to know if that David Anderson bastard was good to her or not. "Now tell me he treated you well? Did he?"
"What if it still doesn't like the taste?" Jazmine Harrison pretended to be wondering.
Amelia coldly stared at Jazmine with dead serious eyes. Jazmine chuckled.
Amelia could be angered to death with such silly things?
God, she missed all that teasing in her past life.
"Alright. He was okay. There had been an important business so he had to leave for Vietnam." Jazmine Harrison said; her words sounded genuine and her tone had a tinge of warmth.
Frank intently paid attention to Jazmine Harrison's tone.
While Amelia fell into a dilemma about what to say. She was still unconvinced. However, before she could say anything, Jazmine Harrison opened her mouth. "Are you free this weekend?"
"This weekend?"
"Yes." Jazmine Harrison effectively changed the topic.
"Yup. That old man is going to visit his family in Thailand. Finally letting me off. I would have a whole two days to do whatever I want. First I'll visit my favorite spa. I have already made a reservation" Amelia looked quite enthusiastic.
"Good. I want you to accompany me. I've been invited to a reality show in my home."
"A reality show? Our little flower getting famous? I would love to go but I don't get free days every day. So sorry, you'll have to go alone."
"You seem to have been mistaken Amelia. I didn't ask you to accompany me. I told you to accompany me." Jazmine Harrison's eyes had a foxy spark. "Or else, I will have to send these pictures of you eating fattening food...", as she said she took out her cell and flashed her the photos, "...to your diligent manager and he would be right here in next ten minutes making you vomit all those bruschettas out while dragging your ass away."
Amelia was shocked.
"You... when did you even take those pictures? Wait..." The truth sunk in. "It had all been your plan since the beginning. Isn't it? That's why you readily agreed to reserve a room for us...?!"
Even Frank was shocked speechless at her at the startling plot twist.
He whistled and broke into dramatic claps.
"Too slow." Jazmine Harrison tilted her head to a side and suppressed a laugh.
"You are such a..." Amelia gritted her teeth.
"Careful. I can send you these pictures right now, and you would be deprived of even enjoying these savory desserts."
"Fine! I'll go!" Amelia agreed and grumpily filled her mouth with a spoonful of dessert.
After that, they talked about different things, completely yielding the defenseless desserts to Amelia to do with them as she wished.
Jazmine Harrison didn't notice, but Frank had been a bit quiet all that time glancing at her from time to time.
Something had been bothering him that day.
