Since Goblo was speaking in the monster language, Rosetta couldn't understand what he was saying. All she knew was that after Goblo said a few things, the goblins let out a strange collective cry.
Then, all the goblins turned their attention to her. Being stared at by so many monsters made Rosetta feel extremely uncomfortable, but she had no choice but to grit her teeth and teach these goblins some basic moves. Due to the lack of proper equipment, the goblins could only use wooden sticks as makeshift swords.
Although they seemed to handle the sticks similarly to swords, Goblo was still dissatisfied. The feel of a stick was quite different from that of a sword. While the territory currently lacked iron, they could at least make a batch of wooden swords for training. Wooden swords were still swords, and they would work perfectly for practice.
With this in mind, Goblo headed toward the male warrior's cabin. The warrior was still injured and couldn't be of much help, so it was the perfect opportunity to borrow his sword for making wooden swords.
When he arrived at the cabin, he found that the male mage wasn't there, as they had been given permission to move around the camp the previous day.
Ludinan looked at Goblo with fear as he suddenly entered. "Do you need something from me?"
"Lend me your longsword. I have a use for it."
"Of course!"
With that, Ludinan quickly drew his longsword and handed it to Goblo with both hands. Seeing the warrior's fearful expression, Goblo said, "I might need to borrow it for quite a while. You won't need your sword during this time, right?"
"N-no, I won't."
"Good."
After leaving the cabin with the sword, Goblo spotted a goblin cleaning nearby and called out, "You, come here."
"Boss, what do you need?"
"What's your name?"
"Boss, my name is Gobmu."
"Gobmu, I have a task for you. Watch my hands closely."
"Yes, boss."
Goblo then took a wooden stick and, using the longsword, began carving it into a wooden sword. Once finished, he wrapped the handle with a piece of rope.
"See? Your task is to make wooden swords like this. If you make three of them, I'll reward you with a piece of roasted meat."
Hearing this, Gobmu's eyes lit up. Normally, even after working hard all day, he could only earn two pieces of roasted meat. But now, by making three of these small items, he could earn an extra piece.
Seeing Gobmu's excitement, Goblo reminded him, "Only swords that meet my quality standards will count. If you make them carelessly, I won't accept them. First, make one and show it to me."
"Yes, boss."
Following Goblo's instructions, Gobmu took the longsword and began carving the wooden stick. However, it was clear that Gobmu wasn't as strong as Goblo. Before he could finish, his hands started trembling from the weight of the sword.
Despite this, he persisted, occasionally comparing his work to Goblo's wooden sword. In the end, he managed to produce a decent-looking wooden sword.
"Not bad. Stick to this standard. You need to make at least six of these a day. If you get tired, take a short break."
"Yes, boss!"
Gobmu replied excitedly, already imagining the roasted meat he would earn.
After solving the weapon issue, Goblo wanted to tackle other tasks. However, the goblin population in the territory was too small, and the goblins themselves knew too little. After some thought, he decided to first subjugate the lizardmen tribe to increase the number of members in his group.
With this plan in mind, Goblo quickly left the valley.
