Chapter 88: Dark Demon Avoids Karma
This punch was merciless, almost entirely unleashing the anger he had secretly suppressed!
Scott, who had never been beaten to such an extent, was instantly dazed, unable to use any magic cards, and screamed miserably from the pain!
Robert, still unwilling to stop, lunged forward, pushed Scott to the ground, then sat on him and began punching him in the face!
The leather mask on Scott's face was damaged, revealing his mouth and nose.
Robert ripped it forcefully, tearing the mask upwards from the bottom, finally revealing the person's true face.
Because Scott was a second-year student from the Nobles' House, Robert had never seen him before, but this didn't stop him from landing a few more blows on that pimple-covered face.
Finally, when Scott's nose was bruised and his face swollen, Robert's anger had subsided considerably.
He laughed "Haha" a few times, feeling that he had never been so gratified since enrolling.
Scott lay on the ground, gasping for breath, snot and tears streaming down his face.
Virt, on the other hand, stared wide-eyed from the side; it was the first time he had seen Robert truly fight.
After that day, Robert had accidentally let it slip and told Virt about being tied up for a whole night, but he had hidden the part about being turned into a woman.
However, it was only now that Virt connected the culprit with the cult in the secret room.
Among those present, he was the only one who had seen Scott wearing the cuttlefish costume before.
"What now?" Virt asked.
Robert let out a breath and said fiercely, "What else can we do? Of course, send him to Professor Sarah Silf. I'm sure Professor Silf will deal with him properly!"
"No! No! No!"
Scott, who was playing dead on the ground, immediately screamed, "Please don't send me to Professor Silf, I'll be expelled! And you'll be put in confinement!"
Robert sneered, "Confinement? I was just getting revenge, how could I be put in confinement?"
"No."
But Virt suddenly interjected, "Robert, he's right. You hit him too hard. If Professor Silf finds out, not only will you be put in confinement, but you'll also have at least fifty points deducted."
Robert was stunned, then shouted, "How is that possible, this isn't fair!"
Virt shook his head, "There's nothing unfair about it, fighting is wrong in itself."
Robert: "Then we...?"
Virt pretended to deliberate, "Anyway, you've already gotten your revenge, right? He didn't do much to you last time, so how about we just let it go?"
Robert: "But last time he!"
Virt: "Hmm?"
Robert's expression fell, "Nothing."
Virt added, "Ahem, maybe we can ask Dark Demon, he was just here. Huh, where's Dark Demon?"
...
Dark Demon had already withdrawn.
As for how Virt and Robert would deal with Scott, that was their own business.
However, Dark Demon guessed that Virt wouldn't want to take Scott to Professor Sarah Silf.
Flower cards, the goddess statue, the cult – these things seemed to be connected.
But upon closer examination, there was an unsettling peculiarity that was hard to erase.
And Virt was already deeply entangled.
Dark Demon, however, had withdrawn after discovering that the goddess statue was not a good thing.
But the main reason he didn't want to get involved was because of Professor Kazel.
...
As long as they are human, people have biases in their actions.
...
Night.
Scott, wearing a mended leather suit, limped into a secret room.
The cult members sat around, unable to stop looking at the mended marks on his leather suit.
There were a total of sixteen cult members present, and apart from the leader who had gathered them, no one knew each other's true identities.
From the moment he entered this place, Scott was no longer Scott, but Cuttlefish.
"So, what happened?"
The one who spoke was their leader – Mr. Sea Star.
Faced with the leader's questioning, Cuttlefish was ashamed to answer.
Mr. Sea Star frowned, "I remember telling you to observe first, not to act."
Cuttlefish finally broke down, "It really wasn't me who started it!"
Mr. Sea Star asked doubtfully, "Could it be that the Son of the Valkyrie started it? He's a treasure in the eyes of the professors, the future star of St. Marian, would he hit someone first?"
"It wasn't them!" Cuttlefish cried, "It was the Hero's son and his follower! I just moved my mouth, and they struck first!"
"Hiss, how did the Hero's son get involved again?" Mr. Sea Star felt a bit of a headache.
Cuttlefish immediately shifted the blame, "I was followed. The person we dealt with that night was the Hero's son's follower, named Robert Broheim. They found me!"
Mr. Sea Star: "How did they find you?"
Cuttlefish: "I don't know, I really don't know! It's not my fault!"
Mr. Sea Star's headache worsened, "Then how did you escape?"
Cuttlefish: "The Hero's son let me go."
Mr. Sea Star: "The Hero's son... let you go?"
All the seafood members looked at each other, completely perplexed.
One of them, with a codfish head, the only female in the cult – Miss Moray Eel – asked doubtfully, "So is Dark Demon the person we're looking for or not?"
Cuttlefish shook his head, "Although I was beaten up, he probably isn't the one who destroyed the goddess statue. He might just like collecting Flower cards."
Miss Moray Eel: "Then who could it be? It can't be the Hero's son, right? By the way, what's his name?"
Pufferfish: "I think it's Virt Gold?"
Mr. Sea Star: "It's Virt Gold."
Pufferfish: "!"
Mr. Sea Star sighed, "We can't afford any more complications, we don't have much time left. We must repair the goddess statue before Holy Night arrives, and offer a living sacrifice during the All Saints' Adoration to resurrect the goddess!"
...
Taking off the leather suit and changing back to Scott, Cuttlefish cautiously tiptoed into the Nobles' House common room.
But the person he wanted to avoid was, of all people, in the common room drinking tea and reading a newspaper, with those two shameless girls beside him!
Scott turned sideways, trying to avoid showing his face.
But Dark Demon inadvertently looked up, and his gaze met Scott's confirming glance.
Scott tensed up abruptly.
He only finally breathed a sigh of relief when Dark Demon continued reading the newspaper as if nothing had happened.
"It seems that during the day, Dark Demon indeed left a step ahead, so he didn't see my true face under the leather suit."
Scott quickly walked up the stairs.
The narrow space in the staircase made him feel much more comfortable. He gently touched the bruises on his face, and a sharp pain shot through him, increasing his hatred for Robert and Virt!
"The leader said we can't cause trouble before Holy Night, but on Holy Night itself..."
