Chapter 141: Dark Demon Walks Right Into It

Chapter 141: Dark Demon Walks Right Into It

"Of course."

Pandora looked up, a little surprised, her slender fingers sweeping dark strands from her forehead behind her ear.

Her skin was exceedingly fair, making her lips appear all the more rosy.

The heart-shaped scales beneath her eyes reflected a subtle silver gleam in the light.

She possessed an almost bewitching charm.

Dark instinctively recoiled, but realizing what was happening when he saw the corners of her mouth curl up, he couldn't help but smile, spreading his notebook flat on the table.

The faint fragrance beside him stirred the young man's thoughts.

Dark picked up his pen and said, "I have some questions for you."

He really did need help!

Although the introductory knowledge of Magical Language wasn't particularly difficult, he had no prior foundation and was completely self-taught. It was inevitable that he'd encounter problems he couldn't solve on his own.

While studying, he had compiled a list of difficult questions, planning to consult Professor Kazel once he had accumulated enough of them.

But now.

He was simply turning to his senior for guidance instead.

Pandora felt no disappointment. She had long known that this junior only ever sought her out with a purpose; it would have been truly strange if he had no objective.

If it was just about academic questions, she was more than happy to help.

But in the process of helping, she would naturally collect some 'interest'.

"No, there are outsiders here."

"It's fine, relax."

Senior Pandora meticulously taught Dark how to infuse magic more precisely and effectively when writing Magical Language.

Dark struggled to control his inner agitation, trying his best to learn and memorize calmly.

Yet, Lust continued to rise.

Vit stood in front of the counter for a long time before finally entering the library with Robert.

The two stopped around the corner. Vit couldn't help but ask, "When did they get so close?"

Robert reassured him, "They're just asking questions. Dark comes to the library often, so it's normal for him to know Senior Pandora."

Vit gritted his teeth slightly. "If I went to ask questions, would Senior Pandora teach me too?"

Robert asked, "Huh? But we're not close with her."

Vit responded, "Ah?"

Robert suggested, "Perhaps we could check her Affinity? That would be a good reference."

Vit had actually already grasped [Forbidden Love], but in the end, he shook his head. "No need," he said. "It probably wouldn't be very high. We truly are just strangers, only knowing each other's names. Robert, do I need to read more books, like Dark does, to stand a chance?"

Robert replied, "I don't know. But having more shared interests is a magic weapon for talking to girls. Senior Pandora clearly loves to read."

But then he shrugged, "But we have to finish our homework tonight. Maybe we can start tomorrow?"

Vit hesitated, "But I still have to go to the secret passage to find the treasure my father left behind."

Robert sighed, "Then there's nothing for it. Isn't there a saying, 'You can't have your fish and your bear's paw too'?"

Vit responded, "That's true, but what you said isn't unreasonable either. Senior Pandora loves to read, especially books about dragons. Maybe for Christmas, I could give her a book..."

Robert exclaimed, "Good idea! I recommend Alibaba's Fourteen Dragon-Guiding Styles. It's supposed to be a super bestseller."

Vit mused, "I'll think about it later. Christmas is still a long way off."

Lust +1

Seeing the long-unseen notification in his field of vision.

Dark instinctively put some distance between himself and Senior Pandora, but the distance only seemed to decrease instead of increase.

The heavy sense of oppression almost pressed against his face.

Pandora secretly smiled, leaning closer and closer, constantly stepping to the edge of the cliff.

Lust +1

Dark's face reddened slightly; he was getting anxious.

"So innocent, isn't he?" Pandora thought to herself, yet her instruction continued without a pause.

As a fourth-year top student in the Magical Arts Academy, her depth of knowledge in Magical Language was incomparable to Dark's.

Just a few pointers from her allowed Dark to benefit immensely.

An hour later, she leaned in and whispered, "Oh, by the way, isn't Magical Language a second-year course? You're starting it so early?"

Dark quickly used the question as a distraction. "I have some Magic Charm Cards I need to make."

Pandora asked, "What Magic Charm Cards? Maybe I can help you."

Dark replied, "[Curse Cage] and [Fusion]."

Pandora was immediately surprised. "Those aren't easy to make. Especially [Fusion]. Even though its Magical Language requirements aren't particularly high, there are many points to pay attention to during the crafting process. It took me several attempts to succeed back then. But you've only been here for three months, and you're already able to use [Fusion]?"

Dark shrugged, "Still in the experimental phase, I guess."

Pandora relaxed slightly. "At your current pace, perhaps next semester you'll be able to apply to join the Dueling Club and compete with second-year students. How about this: when you're ready to craft [Fusion], you can invite me to join you, and I'll keep an eye on things for you. As for [Curse Cage], as long as you're careful, it should be fine."

Dark questioned, "[Curse Cage], it'll be fine as long as I'm careful?"

Dark's expression was slightly skeptical.

After researching it for some time, he certainly didn't think [Curse Cage] would be that easy to craft.

If he really started on it, that material, worth 1500 academic credits, might just disappear in smoke.

But if that's the case...

Doesn't that mean [Fusion] is significantly harder to craft than [Curse Cage]?

Magical Crafting had always been a bottomless pit.

Especially when trying to "craft Magic Charm Cards beyond one's ability," no matter how much money was invested, there was no guarantee of success.

Since Senior Pandora had proactively offered, Dark naturally wouldn't miss this opportunity.

He quickly said, "Thank you, Senior. When I can compile the incantation for [Fusion], I'll ask for your help."

But Senior Pandora's tone suddenly shifted, and she said, "Helping is certainly possible. However, the ancient alchemist Edward once said, 'Mankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's Law of Equivalent Exchange.' We Magical Scholars can be said to be an advanced branch of alchemists, so naturally, we cannot forget this principle. Well, what do you think?"

Dark nodded, "A Christmas gift, I understand."

Pandora immediately broke into a smile. "And the Christmas ball."

"This kind of clear understanding, yet restraining himself to adhere to propriety, is quite nice, isn't it?"

Pandora watched Dark's retreating figure as he disappeared into the library, then quickly shifted her gaze back to the ocean of knowledge.

Those who were highly proficient in time management could always switch quickly between two states.

Back in the reading room, Dark looked at the problems mostly solved in his notebook, then at the seven-point surge in Lust, and couldn't help but fall into distress.

Dark wondered, "It truly did increase, didn't it?"
