Chapter 15: The Pillow Revelation

Alex's room had always been a sanctuary of sleep—a place where soft blankets and the gentle hum of a white noise machine created the perfect ambiance. But today, as his parents stood at the door, it looked more like a pillow factory.

Pillows were stacked against the walls, lined up on his bed, and even nestled into the corner of his nap nook. Each one bore a handwritten tag, the letters neat but sleepy, reading:

"The Dozer V1 by SnoozeCloud."

Sarah and Richard, Alex's parents, shared a glance—one of those parental exchanges that conveyed a thousand thoughts in a second.

"Is this normal?""Well… it's Alex.""But why so many pillows?"

Richard cleared his throat. "Uh, Alex, sweetheart?"

Alex, sitting cross-legged in the center of the room, looked up. His sewing kit lay open beside him, and a half-finished pillow rested on his lap.

"Yes?"

His mother stepped carefully into the room, avoiding a pillow avalanche. "Why are you making so many pillows?"

Alex's expression remained calm, his hands still slowly stuffing fluff into the pillowcase. "I'm going to sell them."

The Moment of Confusion

His parents froze. It was as if someone had hit the pause button on a family sitcom.

"Sell them?" Sarah repeated, her voice hovering between a question and a gasp.

Alex nodded, as if stating something completely ordinary. "Yes."

Silence filled the room, as soft and dense as the pillow stuffing surrounding them.

Richard scratched his head. "Since when are you… selling pillows?"

"Since now."

Sarah blinked. "And… why?"

Alex's response was simple and pure, the kind of answer only he could give. "I want everyone to sleep."

The Adorable Acceptance

His parents exchanged another glance. Confusion melted into gentle acceptance, the kind that only came with raising a child as adorably bizarre as Alex.

"Well," Sarah started, her voice finding its way through the maze of questions, "you didn't ask us for money, did you?"

"No. Used my savings."

Richard's shoulders relaxed. "And you're not trying to nap on the roof again?"

"No. Just here."

They both nodded, as if those were the only two conditions needed to green-light a pillow business.

"Well, if you need anything, just ask us, okay?" Sarah said.

"Okay."

Alex returned to his sewing, his fingers moving with gentle precision, the needle slipping through fabric in slow, steady rhythms.

The Sisters' Predictive Wisdom

In the hallway, Lisa and Emily, who had been eavesdropping, exchanged knowing looks.

Lisa whispered, "We knew it."

Emily nodded. "He's starting a business… so he can find the perfect sleep ambiance."

They stepped into the room, their bare feet sinking into the soft carpet of pillow stuffing.

"Alex," Lisa asked, picking up a finished pillow, "are you going to make enough money to build a nap palace?"

Alex paused, considering. "Maybe."

"Or travel to the ultimate nap spot?" Emily added.

"Yes."

His sisters sat down, their curiosity mixing with sisterly pride.

Lisa: "You know, this is kind of… awesome."Emily: "And a little bit weird."Lisa: "But mostly awesome."

A Family's Cute Worry

Back in the hallway, Sarah and Richard stood, half-hidden behind the door frame, watching the scene unfold.

"He's so… calm about it," Sarah whispered.

Richard nodded. "That's our boy. Turning his sleep obsession into a business model."

Sarah's lips curved into a soft smile. "Do you think we should… guide him?"

"He seems to be doing fine. Besides, he's not hurting anyone."

"And his reason is so… sweet."

They both sighed, a mix of adoration and mild concern. Their son, who had once tried to nap in a laundry basket because it felt like a "pillow fort," was now launching a pillow business.

"Well," Sarah said, "at least he's not just napping. He's being productive."

Richard chuckled. "And dreaming big… quite literally."

A Quiet Room, A Big Dream

Alex's room fell into a comfortable silence, only the soft sounds of sewing filling the air. His sisters rested their heads on pillows, their voices drifting off into sleepy murmurs.

Alex continued to work, his hands moving steadily, his mind already drifting to new nap experiments. His notebook lay open, a fresh page ready for his latest plan:

"Make 10 more pillows.""Consider selling at school fair?""Find perfect ambiance… always."

And as the sun set outside his window, the room filled with the soft glow of twilight, Alex remained focused. His pillow kingdom grew, and with it, his dream of bringing perfect sleep ambiance to everyone.

And through it all, his parents watched from the doorway, their hearts full of love for their sleepy entrepreneur, and their minds quietly wondering what he might dream up next.
