As the night darkened, Arabella and Mielle fell asleep . The surrounding was very calm and refreshing, the grasses looked like soft hay waiting for it to be turned into a beautiful carpet.
The moon shimered it's reflection in the nearby pond , the reflection looked as if the water had a magical sphere inside it. The light ripples on the pond with those pink lotus was a perfect mixture of beauty and elegance.
But, the reaction of the surrounding seemed like a mirage to both Arabella and Arimielle.
"Mother!", claimed Arabella with the innocent eyes as the word ran a sense of purity inside her, but there also remained a memory so bewitched that avoided her from remembering her mother's name. Perhaps, it was a trauma experienced by her at an early age.
"Arabella, my daughter! Your mother missed you so much", her mother said with a deary expression.
It did not seem real at all. Even her face looked like an empty void but Arabella was too blinded by her mother's voice to notice these things.
If there exists a Nirvana which people , saints , monks and preachers talk of, then it had to be her Nirvana or maybe something even bigger than it .
A feeling that had remained blank was unturning in front of her . A feeling that she longed for; the feeling of motherly love and affection towards her daughter.
Arabella ran towards her mother hoping to be wrapped around her arms .
She ran with all her might , quite dramatically too ... but her mother disappeared into thin air . She wasn't there.
Arabella's lips started quivering as she spoke in a gentle voice which gradually turned into a help for cry, "Mom! Mom! Mom!Mom! Where are you?" , she turned all around trying to find her mother in that space .
It was all in vain , her mother was nowhere to be found. "Why? Why am I always left alone? Why won't you come to me? Atleast take me with you!" Arabella frowned and shouted , her voice sounding rather different than usual. It sounded so helpless.
Suddenly, she started hearing voices. It wasn't her mother's voice , it seemed like a prophecy. A prophecy reminding her of the regrets of her past , a prophecy trying to help Arabella.
[You killed both your father and mother Arabella. Why are you regretting it now?
Weren't you glad that your parents were finally dead. You have your freedom now. Arabella , enjoy it!]
"No!!!! I didn't kill my family. Why are you lying? ", screamed Arabella holding her head as she went bonkers. She closed her eyes and covered her ears tightly with her hands trying to retaliate against the passive voice that was coming from the surrounding.
[You cannot simply deny the truth Arabella. The truth remains there as it is, no matter how much you say it wasn't you , it was you and only you Arabella.]
The sound echoed again . Louder than before, yet calm as if it was implying the truth to her.
She wasn't ready for it. She could never accept it. It didn't matter if it was some prophecy or some bullshit , she was not going to accept it, but the feelings inside her heart were playing games. It started beating fast and she felt an adrenaline rush in her body.
Before she realised anything, she started running , trying to leave that place , trying to find her family , trying to forget that memory again , trying to run away from all her emotions and that heavy feeling that lied within her heart.
She thought her monochromatic life had finally changed but it didn't . It was the same . She was still a coward who kept running away from her problems.
She was nothing but a coward spoiled brat.
"I don't want to be here. I want to leave this place . I want to die . Why did I come back to this place? Why can't I see the regret they talk of?", she questioned aggressively, knowing well that there wasn't any answer . It was her ownself who was questioning her.
As her marathon continued, a lily , to be accurate, a golden lily , it looked like a different form of that brooch . Atleast it was gold , shining brightly in that monochromatic atmosphere. The only light in front of her .
She followed in the lily's direction, only to find herself at the Rumelle Palace , the place where she met Adrien . He looked as beautiful as ever, like a phoenix at the dusk.
"Arabella", his gentle voice tingled in her ear . She couldn't forget him . She could never forget him . She was just manipulating her all along into believing that she forgot him , her love of the life, her dear Adrien.
The golden lily was exactly beside Adrien . What she actually wanted to trace was that golden lily or she rather fooled herself into thinking that it was that lily.
As she approached it and looked at the lily , she was struck by its beauty. Blood droplets started to fell on that lily. It was her blood , coming straight out of her heart. She was stabbed by Adrien.
"I knew you were going to do that still I accompanied. Why am I so gullible?", Arabella's heterochromia eyes resembled a never ending space where she was stuck , not wanting to leave that place.
That place had a certain type of peace there.
She didn't had to face any of the cruel reality now. She could simply vanish in that place , away from everyone's eye.
"Arabella", her mother's voice again echoed in her ears. She was there , again. Her face, a bright light , yet again. Again and again and again , no matter how many times it would happen, she kept falling for it, wishing to have a caress from her mother who wasn't actually dead.
"I feel like a corpse.", Arabella said to herself . Maybe, she was one . She was living inside someone's body that wasn't her own. Her soul lurking around in that body as if trying to tame it as it's keeper or probably a vessel for her use.
