Free For All[2]

Far from the demon named Liam, there was another chaos as well, spreading in a very large building compared to other buildings.

The hospital's structure was large and very complex. The building contained more than two hundred patient rooms, long corridors, and very spacious halls. In each patient room, two unlucky people or one lucky person woke up.

As for two people, they were unlucky because after they saw the announcement above, they had to kill each other.

Those who were formerly comrades trying to get out of a predicament together, turned into enemies trying to step on each other's corpses.

This was very clear to Selas.

Standing in one of the corridors, he saw the same three people from before fighting. Or two of them at least. There was a corpse lying on the ground between the remaining two.

Selas walked down the corridor quietly.

His wide black sleeves fluttered in the wind entering from the windows while his very dark black hair absorbed the surrounding light in the corridors. In his hand, he carried a black metal pole that ended in two protruding tips in opposite directions.

"I apologize, my friend, but you must die."

"Humph! Try me, fucker."

Since everyone did not have weapons at hand, most of the fights were physical with only a little mana enhancing the limbs.

And since this was an illusion, the spatial ring could not be materialized in it, of course. And because they were at the bottom of the ranks in the classification, their mana reserves were very limited, which was quickly depleted.

As he walked towards the now two enemy friends, Selas put a smile on his face as he got closer and closer to them.

Upon noticing the uninvited guest, the two stopped fighting for a moment to take a look at him.

"Who are you? No, it doesn't matter. Just wait there in your place." One of them spoke.

"You… don't you see that she has a weapon?" His former friend replied in fear.

"Pffft! Seriously? Just because she's carrying a weapon, you're scared?"

Selas' shoulders trembled and his face darkened.

"A bunch of NPCs…"

"Huh? What did you s-"

Before the boy could finish his sentence, Selas was already in front of him, waving the strange metal pole horizontally, targeting his head.

-Bakkkhh!

With a resounding blow, one end of the pole entered the boy's head, reaching the middle of his brain, ending his life instantly.

"Aaaaahhhh!"

The other boy fell on his butt in terror upon seeing the horrific scene in front of him.

From his friend's broken skull, blood came out carrying with it a white substance and something slightly heavy and pink. They leaked from his head realistically and without stopping.

The scene made him immediately expel the saliva from his empty stomach.

"Who is she now?" Selas spoke coldly.

"Pl-Please. I don't want to fight. I-I really don't want to." The remaining boy retreated, crawling on the ground in fear.

Selas walked slowly behind the boy with his metal pole rubbing against the ground, making a terrifying sound for the crawling boy.

"Your not wanting to fight is simply your request for death, you fool."

Selas raised the metal pole in his hand and brought it down cruelly on the head of the crawling and trembling boy.

-Bkkkhh!

Just like the previous boy, blood flowed, carrying with it a white substance from the back of his head. The boy's body trembled for a few moments before it fell silent forever.

Selas walked past the corpse until he reached the end of the corridor.

Apparently, he was on the top floor of this hospital. He could hear the sounds of screaming and fighting from his place from here.

"It's not the right time for a fucking event like this…" He shook his head wearily, "Let's just end this bullshit quickly. This day has become long."

From their training with Jared, Julius's arrival in the village, their going to the church, and even their attending the academy. And now, he was stuck in a surprise event.

He felt as if he was mentally drained.

Selas let out a sigh as he took the stairs down, placing the metal pole on his shoulder in a comfortable position.

"I just hope Solon doesn't witness this…"

In one of the neighboring houses.

-Daaam! -Daaam!

"For God's sake, Solon. Do something!" Ned shouted as he put the weight of his back on the door so that it wouldn't break.

This had been going on for minutes now without stopping.

Whoever was outside, he seemed determined to kill them first before finding someone else.

"Let's put this!" Solon came, pulling a heavy sofa with him.

Ned partially pulled himself away from the door to let Solon put the sofa in its place.

"Huff… this bastard… why is he so persistent?" Ned spoke, wiping his sweat.

"I don't know. Everyone just went crazy…" Solon whispered.

As soon as the white light swallowed them at the entrance ceremony, the two found themselves neighbors in these small houses on the outskirts of the city.

Ned was somewhat unlucky because he found an unwelcome companion in the residence, after seeing the announcement in the sky, he tried to reason with him, but to no avail.

And now he's trying to kill them now because they're the closest to him.

"Did you put furniture on the other door?" Ned asked, to which Solon responded with a nod.

Fortunately, the house was full of different kinds of furniture, which helped them block the enemy's entrances.

"We just have to wait until he gets tired and he'll leave on his own." Solon tried to lighten the mood.

Although they outnumbered him, neither of them thought about killing him. Maybe Ned, but Solon hated that.

Even after Ned tried to convince him that all this was fake and that they wouldn't actually die, Solon didn't want to kill a fellow student, which annoyed Ned greatly.

"Tsk, we can easily kill him if we cooperate…"

Solon lowered his head in guilt, "Sorry for-"

-Crash!

Before Solon could complete his apology, the sound of breaking glass was heard, causing the eyes of the two to widen.

"Hahahaha. You two are really a foolish duo! Did you really think you could escape me?" A loud voice echoed from another room in the house.

"Damn it!"

As soon as Ned heard his voice, he immediately pulled the sofa away from the door to escape. Knowing that the stupid Solon would just keep watching, he didn't even want to get into a fight.

"Wh-What are we going to do?" Solon spoke anxiously as he pushed the sofa away with Ned. He was able to hear the heavy footsteps colliding with the weak wood of the house already, which made them hurry to open the door to escape.

"What else? Save your skin!" Ned shouted as he exited the house.

Anyway, the moment he put his foot outside the house…

-Fwooosh!!

A sudden gray flames erupted with a powerful whoosh sound, engulfing the air around him as it drowned the entire house.

Ned did not have a chance to scream when his entire body turned to ashes with the extra behind them.

Solon stood frozen as he watched the world burn around him, yet he was not affected by the flames. His resistance did not allow it.

"Hmm? Interesting… why didn't you die too?" A sweet voice tinged with curiosity reached his ears.

He looked forward and saw her.

A girl with charming and attractive features wearing a blood-red wedding dress. Her beautiful silver hair fluttered in the air while her eyes, the same red as her dress, drew Solon to her.

Seeing Solon frozen in place, she tilted her head to the side and put her finger on her chin gently, "Arara~ Did you already fall in love with me~?"
