After Master Void left, Chuyang and Qingying strolled down the winding path, walking slowly.
The surrounding celestial world was breathtakingly beautiful, with distant mountains like paintings and nearby flowers exuding a faint spiritual aura.
Chuyang occasionally stopped to admire the scenery, but Qingying walked briskly ahead, as if she had long grown accustomed to everything here.
However, after walking for a short while, several figures descended from the sky, blocking their path.
These figures were also extraordinary, exuding an imposing spiritual pressure that made it clear they were direct descendants of the celestial realm.
The leader was a young man, with eyebrows that reached his temples and eyes that gleamed with disdain.
He glanced at Qingying, a mocking smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Qingying, I wondered why this area felt so tainted. Turns out, it's you."
Qingying's expression darkened, her hands clenched into fists, but she remained silent.
Chuyang stood to the side, sensing her unease, and frowned slightly.
At that moment, another woman took up the conversation, her voice cold but biting. "That human bloodline of yours is a disgrace to the celestial realm. You don't belong here."
"Show some respect!" Chuyang finally spoke, his voice not loud but carrying an undeniable authority.
The celestial beings turned their gaze toward him, their eyes filled with more contempt. They appraised him, particularly noting his attire, which made them question his presence.
One of them muttered, "Strange, why does this guy feel so... mundane?"
The leader of the group sneered, his arrogance evident. "A mere mortal dares to speak on her behalf?"
Another celestial narrowed their eyes, full of disdain.
He slowly approached Chuyang, as if studying prey, then coldly sneered, "So this is what you've become, Qingying. You've fallen so low that you bring a mere mortal here. Has the celestial realm really sunk so low?"
Qingying gritted her teeth and was about to speak, but Chuyang raised his hand to stop her.
He stepped forward, staring directly at the leader, speaking in a calm voice, "Though you hold yourselves above others, can't you see that she owes you nothing?"
The young man sneered, "A mortal, daring to teach us?"
"I'm not teaching, I'm warning," Chuyang replied calmly. "If you don't know how to show respect, I'll show you what it means."
"Hahaha! A mortal so arrogant!" The celestial beings burst into laughter, and the leader waved his hand. "If you want to teach us, try it. This isn't a playground for mortals like you. Even if you have a little courage, you're just an ant in the grand scheme."
With that, he swung his sleeve, and a powerful surge of spiritual energy rushed forward like a fierce wind.
Yet Chuyang remained motionless, standing firm.
The wind slammed into an invisible barrier, instantly dissipating.
The leader was taken aback, clearly not expecting Chuyang to easily neutralize his attack.
A flicker of coldness appeared in his eyes, and with a wave of his hand, a sword of light shot toward Chuyang.
Qingying, alarmed by the sight, hurriedly called out, trying to warn Chuyang to dodge, but Chuyang remained still, as if rooted to the ground, not moving or avoiding the attack, allowing the sword to come for him.
Just as the sword was about to strike Chuyang's forehead, he suddenly raised his hand and caught the blade between his fingers.
The tremendous impact caused a gust of wind, but Chuyang remained as steady as a mountain.
"Impossible!" The young man gasped in disbelief.
Chuyang smiled faintly, "Is this the best you can do? And you call yourselves celestial beings?"
With a simple pinch of his fingers, the sword snapped with a crisp sound.
The broken sword fell to the ground, echoing in the stillness.
The celestial beings were stunned, their faces changing dramatically.
Another man, enraged, launched a fiery attack, summoning a scorching flame that rushed toward Chuyang.
The fire, infused with spiritual energy, twisted the air around them, burning fiercely.
Chuyang scoffed, his fist clenching tightly as he met the flame with a punch, casually calling out, "Flame Fist!"
His fist, wrapped in overwhelming force, shattered the flame, sending sparks flying.
The backlash from the force sent the celestial man staggering back several steps, his face pale.
"This can't be!" The man cried out, his eyes wide with disbelief.
Chuyang took slow steps forward, his gaze sharp. He didn't give the man any chance to recover. With a flash, he appeared right before him, raising his fist.
"Mountain Shatter Fist!"
The punch roared like thunder, hitting the celestial man squarely in the chest.
With a deafening crash, the man was sent flying like a kite with its string cut, crashing heavily to the ground.
The remaining celestial beings were shaken, their faces pale.
The leader gritted his teeth and immediately cast a spell, his body enveloped in a blue light ring.
He pushed his hands forward, and the air around him was filled with countless sword-shaped energy waves, all aimed at Chuyang.
"Thousand Sword Meteor!"
The sword energy poured down like a torrential storm, each strike carrying immense power, as if they would crush Chuyang into dust.
Chuyang furrowed his brow. In an instant, his figure shot up into the sky like a bolt of lightning.
He turned mid-air, and with a powerful punch, he shouted, "Galaxy Breaker!"
The massive wind from his punch surged like a galaxy, colliding with the storm of sword energy.
The two forces clashed in the air, resulting in a deafening explosion.
The sword waves were immediately destroyed, and the air around them warped and shattered under the shockwave.
The leader of the group was forced back several steps, his face ashen.
He stared at Chuyang in terror, disbelief filling his eyes. "What kind of monster is this?"
Chuyang landed gracefully, his eyes cold. "Do you want to continue?"
The other celestial beings were completely intimidated by his overwhelming presence. They shook their heads and stepped back.
The leader of the group gritted his teeth and, with a deep scowl, turned and left. "Hmph, Qingying, this time you're lucky. But don't think this is over."
With that, he and his companions retreated in disgrace.
Qingying watched their retreating figures with a deep sigh of relief, but when she turned to look at Chuyang, her eyes were filled with a complicated mix of emotions. There was no joy on her face, only a hint of worry, as if she feared something.
"Thank you," she whispered softly.
Chuyang smiled casually, waving off her gratitude. "No need to thank me. I just can't stand people bullying others."
Qingying looked at his calm demeanor, her heart fluttering with a sudden unease.
She suddenly realized that this man from the mortal realm might be even more powerful than she had imagined. And because of that, she felt a vague sense of discomfort.
"Where did you learn those moves you used earlier?" Qingying asked again, her voice soft.
"Huh? Moves? Heh... they're just from the novels I read."
With that, Chuyang struck a few more stances, seeing the surprise flash in Qingying's eyes. He couldn't suppress a smirk, a sense of pride gleaming in his eyes.
Shrugging his shoulders, his voice lighthearted, he remarked, "Seems like the celestial realm isn't so impressive after all."
Qingying let out a gentle sigh, her voice soft as she said, "Chuyang, we should leave now."
Chuyang raised an eyebrow. "So soon?"
Qingying nodded, her expression complex. "What just happened won't end so easily. Staying here will only bring more trouble."
Her tone carried a note of finality as she turned and walked ahead. "Come with me. I'll take you out of here."
Chuyang hesitated for a moment, his mind full of questions, but said nothing. He followed her without a word.
The spiritual aura in the air still lingered, but now, there was an underlying sense of danger.
Chuyang glanced back at the retreating figures, a smirk tugging at his lips. He muttered to himself, "Trouble? Hmph... I'm actually looking forward to more of it."
Hearing his soft murmur, Qingying paused for a moment, a flicker of concern in her eyes. But she didn't turn around.
But.
What Qingying never expected was that this very arrogance would inevitably cause Chuyang to stir an endless storm in this world.
