Darkness swallowed the chamber as the entity's violet eyes glowed ominously. Aryan barely had time to react before an invisible force threw him backward, slamming him against the metallic walls.

Shira's fingers danced across the holographic console in desperation. "This isn't possible! This entity… it's overriding the System itself!"

Nyx growled, gripping her daggers tighter. "Then we take it down before it fully manifests!"

The entity let out a low, menacing chuckle. "Foolish mortals… Do you think you have a choice?"

Before anyone could move, the entire chamber shifted. The once-sterile walls of the System Core morphed, transforming into an eerie, cybernetic wasteland. Floating red symbols appeared in the air, twisting and glitching as the entity's true form began to emerge.

A towering figure, clad in dark, shifting armor, rose from the center of the core. Its form was unstable, flickering between data and reality, yet its power was undeniable. The Overlord had awakened.

Aryan forced himself to stand, blood trickling from his lips. His HUD flickered violently, error messages flooding his vision. His abilities were being locked one by one.

"Damn it!" he cursed. "He's controlling everything… even our stats!"

Kaine let out a furious roar, activating his Hyper Mode again. His body surged with energy as he lunged at the Overlord, fist glowing with raw power.

—only for the Overlord to catch his punch with a single hand.

Kaine's eyes widened in shock. "What…?"

The Overlord smirked, his grip tightening. With a mere flick of his wrist, he sent Kaine flying across the battlefield, crashing into a wall.

Shira gasped. "We can't fight him like this! He's rewriting the rules of the game as we speak!"

The Overlord's eyes gleamed with amusement. "You finally understand. This isn't a game anymore. This is my domain now."

Aryan's fists clenched. His mind raced. If brute force wouldn't work, then… they needed a different strategy.

Suddenly, a notification flashed across his HUD—

A cold shiver ran down his spine. There was no turning back now. Either they fought and won… or they ceased to exist.

The Overlord raised his hand, and a wave of black energy surged through the battlefield, distorting reality itself. The ground beneath them cracked, forming an abyss of pure data corruption.

Nyx barely managed to leap away, landing beside Aryan. "We need to disable his control over the System. Otherwise, we don't stand a chance!"

Shira's eyes glowed as she accessed the backup protocols. "I found a loophole! If we can reach the System Core's Override Terminal, we might be able to cut off his access!"

Aryan's mind raced. "Where is it?"

Shira gulped. "Deep within the corruption zone… right beneath him."

The Overlord laughed, stepping forward. "Desperate plans? How entertaining. But futile."

Aryan smirked. "We'll see about that."

He turned to his team. "We need to split up. Nyx and I will distract him. Shira, Kaine—get to that terminal and shut him down."

The battle for the System's fate had just begun.
