Gu Qili felt that she had nothing to say to Hu Jiaojiao. A friendship of over a decade had dissolved just like that. Although it was somewhat regrettable, she took comfort in realizing the true nature of a person during her downfall.
"Qiqi, are you still mad at me? Actually, it was Deng Feifei who approached me first, and I couldn't refuse her," Hu Jiaojiao explained with an innocent face.
Seeing her just gave Gu Qili a headache. Her mood was utterly foul because of the scholarship, and she didn't want to worsen it because of her.
"You don't need to tell me about you and her, not now, not ever." She walked past her, intending to leave.
Hu Jiaojiao grabbed hold of her sleeve: "Qiqi, you came here because of the scholarship, didn't you?"
"You too?" Gu Qili sensed something was off and stopped to look at her.
Hu Jiaojiao looked down, slightly embarrassed: "The director just informed me that I've been awarded the top scholarship. She asked me to come and sign for it."
