Yan Sijue's eyes flickered.
"Interesting question." He smiled faintly, "Even I don't know the answer."
"Then, is there a possibility you might fall in love with me?" Mu Yiliang suddenly grinned mischievously.
"Maybe." He played with a lock of her hair, his gaze unfathomable, "You can give it a try."
Mu Yiliang hummed softly: "I won't. If I fall in love with you, and you still don't love me, wouldn't that be quite tragic for me?"
The man chuckled lowly and placed his finger on her lips: "Are you that lacking in confidence?"
Mu Yiliang blinked and readily admitted: "Yes, because I've had such experiences before."
Yan Sijue's brow furrowed slightly, seemingly puzzled. Then as he understood, his gaze darkened further.
"So you're saying you've loved another man?" His voice was calm, but the hand on her waist tightened.
Mu Yiliang gave a self-deprecating smile: "Yes, I have loved, and it was for several years... but he never gave me any response..."
