Unveiling Secrets II

For a long moment, the woman simply stared at her, saying nothing. She still seemed unconvinced, which irritated Lang Huan a little.

Lang Huan untied her belt—she was going to prove that she was a woman.

"You... you, what are you doing?" Lin Ruochen asked nervously.

Lang Huan took her hand and slipped it inside her clothes, pressing it against her chest.

Lin Ruochen froze, her eyes widening. "Shameless!!" She slapped Lang Huan.

Lang Huan held her cheek, then said, "Now we're even. You're really amazing—you molested me and then slapped me..." Lang Huan let out a sigh of relief as the tense atmosphere finally began to ease.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. Then, Lang Huan broke the silence. "What's your name?"

"Lin Ruochen," she replied softly, her face still flushed with embarrassment. Her gaze lingered on Lang Huan's face—sharp jawline, delicate features, and naturally red lips. She could be considered beautiful as a woman, but…in men's clothing, she was also undeniably handsome.

"Ruo Chen, do you know how we ended up here?"

Lin Ruochen heard Lang Huan's question and frowned in confusion. "Do you not remember what happened?"

"I remember us being chased, but after that... I don't know. When I opened my eyes, we were already here."

Lin Ruochen studied Lang Huan's face carefully. She could tell she wasn't lying—she truly didn't remember. Taking a deep breath, Lin Ruochen began to explain. That night, she had killed countless soldiers, and in the end, they had jumped off a cliff.

"What???"

Lang Huan gasped, a shiver running down her spine. Was she possessed? Her body suddenly felt cold.

How could she kill so many people and feel nothing? And the strangest part—falling from such a great height, only to wake up with sore muscles?

The more she thought about it, the more fear crept into her heart.

Guuuu… Lang Huan's stomach growled.

She was thirsty and hungry, but all she could see was endless seawater. Thinking quickly, she grabbed a sturdy branch, wrapped a piece of cloth around it, and lit it to make a torch.

"I have to find food and water. Stay here and wait for me," she said to Lin Ruochen.

Shit... She stared into the darkness beneath the cave, rubbing her arms. What if a wandering ghost tried to possess her again?

Even though Lang Huan feared the darkness, she had no other choice.

Lin Ruochen hesitated before giving a small nod. But deep inside, worry gnawed at her. What if Lang Huan never came back? What if she was left all alone?

The cave entrance led downward, spiraling into the depths with no end in sight. Lang Huan stepped carefully, the flickering torchlight casting shadows on the damp stone walls.

After what felt like an eternity, she finally spotted a small spring deep within the cave. She let out a soft sigh, a faint smile forming on her lips.

Lang Huan climbed back up, and she smiled upon seeing her return. "Ruo Chen, I found a small spring, and there are tiny sea creatures inside. Let's go, I'll carry you on my back."

Lang Huan put out the campfire and helped Lin Ruochen to a small spring. She was exhausted and hungry, but at least they had found water.

She felt lucky that she had trained her body over the years. Even in a situation like this, she could still endure and take care of Ruo Chen. Taking a deep breath, she pushed aside her fatigue and focused on survival.

Spotting small fish in the spring, she quickly caught a few and roasted them over a newly lit fire. The survival skills she had read about in books were finally useful. It was hard to believe she would go through something like this in her life.

The Second Prince visited the women he had kidnapped. Seeing their beauty, he felt an itch in his heart—a strong desire to touch them. But His poor health restrained him. Some days, he felt better, but other times, he was weak and in pain.

After all the effort he had put into capturing these women, he had gained nothing in return. Frustration and anger filled him.

Then, a thought came to him, He would hold a grand banquet at his villa and auction off the beautiful women. By inviting high-ranking officials and wealthy merchants from neighboring states, he could make a fortune. These women were still pure and stunning. He would start the bidding at a high price.

"Send out all the invitations. Hahaha! This way, I can also build connections with the officials and wealthy merchants from the Yan Kingdom. Hahaha!" He laughed wickedly.

"Your wisdom is unmatched, Your Highness," praised the commander of the Black Tortoise Army.

Lang Huan watched the water droplets fall from the tip of the cave, their soft, rhythmic sound filling the silence. Even as she sat still, her heart was restless. Thoughts of the others tormented her—what had happened to the elite forces? To Zhou Xun, who had been captured? Were they still alive? Or had they all fallen into the enemy's hands?

She clenched her fists, frustration bubbling inside her. But then, her gaze fell on Ruo Chen's injured body. No matter how anxious she was, there was nothing she could do right now. At the very least, she had to wait until Ruo Chen recovered.

That thought led to a new worry. Lang Huan hesitated before finally speaking, "Ruo Chen, can you not tell the Eldest Princess my real identity? I know you're one of her people."

Lin Ruochen froze. Truthfully, she didn't know how to answer. After a moment of hesitation, she chose to say nothing.  She couldn't help but wonder—did Lang Huan have some hidden motive for disguising herself as a man?

Seeing her reaction, Lang Huan knew there was no point in pressing further.

Lang Huan decided to change the topic. She suddenly remembered —Ruo Chen had incredible qinggong skills. In the C-dramas she had seen, qinggong allowed people to leap high into the air, almost as if they were flying.

With innocent curiosity, she turned to Lin Ruochen and asked, "Can't you just use your qinggong to fly back up?"

Hearing that, Lin Ruochen wanted to cry. Having qinggong didn't mean she could fly! If it were that simple, they would have escaped long ago. She let out a sigh and explained patiently, "Qinggong helps with speed and jumping, not flying. There's no way we can get out that way.

"Ohh…"
