Morkel pretended to look back, and the child quickly wrapped himself in a piece of cloth, attempting to hide with his poor disguise.
Morkel glanced at the black cloth that clashed with the gray wall and exposed him bluntly: "Hey! Stop pretending, kid! You've been following me this whole time!"
"Wow!"
The child suddenly threw off the cloth covering his body and praised, "Not bad! You saw through my disguise so quickly! No wonder Grandpa thinks so highly of you!"
Morkel: …
Your disguise is so obvious that even a blind man could see through it!
Morkel, who was in a hurry to buy groceries, wanted to get rid of this little guy as soon as possible. "Tell me, what's your purpose in following me?"
"Grandpa said that you will soon surpass him, so I hope you can teach me a ninjutsu that can defeat him!"
Konohamaru waved his fist with determination.
"Your grandpa? Who is your grandpa?"
Morkel asked doubtfully.
"That's the Hokage-sama you were talking about."
Konohamaru said casually.
Morkel thought to himself: This kid is actually the grandson of the Hokage?! He looks no different from any other brat! Tsk! Maybe even dumber than the rest!
Konohamaru noticed the change in Morkel's expression and felt a little disappointed. He hated people who fawned over him because of his grandfather's status. Those people never saw him as Konohamaru, only as the Hokage's grandson.
"So now that you know my grandfather is the Hokage, will you teach me ninjutsu?"
Morkel scoffed. "Nope."
Konohamaru was stunned.
"Why not?!" he asked in confusion.
"Because you're a troublesome brat, and I don't want to teach you."
Morkel spread his hands indifferently.
He wasn't afraid of rejecting the Hokage's grandson. The Third Hokage wasn't the type to hold grudges over something so trivial.
Besides, this kid was really annoying!
Hearing Morkel's blunt rejection, Konohamaru's eyes suddenly lit up. Finally! Someone who wasn't afraid of his status!
Konohamaru's attitude changed instantly. He bowed deeply to Morkel and said sincerely, "Please teach me! I must defeat Grandpa and prove myself. I want to become the Fifth Hokage of Konoha!"
Morkel raised a brow. "Why do you want to defeat the Hokage?"
Konohamaru clenched his fists and said, "The name Konohamaru was given by my grandfather. It comes from the name of this village. But when people call me, they never use my name. They only see me as the grandson of the Hokage. No one recognizes me as my own person. So, I'm going to defeat Grandpa and take the title of Hokage!"
Morkel thought for a moment. "You're so childish, kid."
But considering that Konohamaru was only six or seven years old, Morkel let it slide.
"Now are you willing to teach me the ninjutsu to defeat Grandpa?" Konohamaru looked at him expectantly.
"Nope."
"Why not?!"
Morkel sighed. "I don't know how to defeat the Hokage. Besides, kids are such a hassle."
"If you teach me, I'll call you Big Brother!"
Morkel paused.
For a moment, the thought of having the Hokage's grandson as a little brother was quite tempting.
Seeing Morkel hesitate, Konohamaru quickly added, "If you teach me, I'll also share all my snacks with you!"
Morkel grinned. "Deal! My little brother, what do you want to learn?"
"Yes!" Konohamaru cheered. Finally, he had found a great teacher who wasn't afraid of his status!

In an open field outside the village, Morkel used the Body Flicker Technique to transport himself and Konohamaru.
"Big Brother Morkel, how did you teleport me just now? Teach me that first!" Konohamaru exclaimed, eyes sparkling with excitement.
"If you want to defeat the Hokage, just knowing the Body Flicker Technique isn't enough. You need powerful ninjutsu too!" Morkel said wisely.
Konohamaru nodded eagerly. "So, what should I learn?"
Morkel thought for a moment. Should he teach Konohamaru Wood Style? But Yamato-sensei had warned him not to reveal it to outsiders. Plus, Wood Style required a specific bloodline.
Then, an idea struck him.
"I'll teach you Wind Style: Shuriken!"
Konohamaru's eyes gleamed with excitement. "Sounds awesome!"

Meanwhile, in the Hokage's office…
The Third Hokage shuddered suddenly.
Ebisu, kneeling before his desk, looked up and said, "Hokage-sama, the weather is getting colder. You should put on more clothes."
The Third Hokage waved his hand. "It's not the weather. I just suddenly felt a chill down my spine."
Ebisu straightened his glasses. "Hokage-sama, I couldn't find Master Konohamaru anywhere. He was supposed to be in class today."
The Third Hokage sighed. "Let me check…"
He turned to his crystal ball, which allowed him to observe everything happening in Konoha.
After searching for a while, he finally found two little figures at the edge of the village. "Found him! Wait… why is he with Morkel?"
In the crystal ball, Morkel and Konohamaru were whispering and plotting something.
The Third Hokage suddenly felt an even greater chill down his spine.
Ebisu, peeking over his shoulder, asked, "Morkel… isn't he that orphaned war child who hangs around that Nine-Tails brat?"
The Third Hokage's expression darkened. "Enough, Ebisu. I told you before—do not speak of Naruto like that. Both of them are children and the future of Konoha. Your prejudices will only hurt them."
Ebisu gulped and quickly bowed. "I understand, Hokage-sama. I will not let my personal feelings cloud my duty as a teacher."
The Third Hokage sighed, glancing at the crystal ball once more. "Let's just hope Morkel isn't planning anything too dangerous…"
---
Back at the training field, Morkel smirked. "Alright, Konohamaru! Get ready! Today, I'll teach you something that might just shake the Hokage himself!"
