Hwayang Village had vast farmland.
The rice grown here was harvested once a year.
Judging by the fresh stubble in the fields, the crops had been recently harvested, but the land had yet to be tilled again.
Bok Taejin followed Im Beomhyeon along the narrow ridges between the fields.
They had been walking for quite some time, yet they hadn't encountered a single person.
Curious, he asked about it.
Im Beomhyeon laughed. "This area is for growing rice. There's nothing to do here right now, so of course, no one's around. If I take you around for three to five days, we'll probably reach the area where everyone's busy."
Bok Taejin was shocked. "It takes that long?"
Im Beomhyeon rolled his eyes and scoffed, "And this is me picking certain areas to walk through so we can actually finish the tour. Otherwise, three to five days wouldn't be nearly enough! If you also want to explore all the uncultivated land nearby, it'll take even longer."
Bok Taejin originally planned to scout the land himself before choosing a place to plant radishes.
However, now, he didn't dare think that way anymore.
It would be much faster to just ask Im Beomhyeon to pick a spot for him.
Hearing his request, Im Beomhyeon asked about the number of white radish seeds he had.
After getting an answer, he smirked. "I thought you'd need a huge plot of land, but you only need this little? No need to go looking anywhere else. There's some empty land right behind my house—I'll clear it for you! It can saves you the trouble of running around. Not to mention, if you get lost, that'd be an even bigger problem."
Bok Taejin wanted to protest.
He wasn't someone who got lost easily!
There was no way he'd wander into the fields and lose his way.
But thinking about it again, the land here was vast, with shrubs and hills blocking visibility.
If he went out alone, he might actually struggle to find his way back.
Ultimately, his mindset still hadn't fully adjusted.
Even though he had come to a cultivation world and gained an opportunity, he had no real strength of his own yet.
When thinking about daily life, he could only approach it as if he were in an ancient farming society.
Im Beomhyeon quickly led him back home and pulled out two dusty hoes from a side storage room.
Noticing Bok Taejin's odd expression, Im Beomhyeon shoved one of the hoes into his hands and scoffed, "What are you looking at? Hurry up and get to work! Aren't you the one who wants to grow the radishes?"
Behind Im Beomhyeon's house, there were over ten acres of level land.
Further back, a lush green hill rose in the distance.
Bok Taejin picked a spot and decided to cultivate one acre first.
Im Beomhyeon marked the field boundaries before wordlessly swinging his hoe.
Although he didn't do much farm work compared to other villagers, that was only by comparison.
